I just got back from an awesome 2 night Mokoro camping safari with Tebla in the Okavango delta. Just a few hours outside Maun we transferred into traditional mokoros and began our voyage into the delta.

Our poler navigated the small channels with ease and we were amazed to see tiny reed frogs, water lilies and kingfishers. Once we arrived at an island we enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by our very own chef and had some siesta time, before another mokoro ride in the afternoon where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset! We returned to camp at dusk and enjoyed dinner around the campfire under the stars.

The next morning we got up at dawn for a light breakfast before Tebla took us on a guided nature walk around the island. We loved learning about the tracks and signs in the bush before returning to camp for another tasty lunch. After some siesta time and a wonderful bucket shower in our ensuite tent, we set out for an afternoon mokoro ride amongst the reeds.

After another evening of storytelling around the campfire we went to our comfy beds contented. We had a wonderful safari with Tebla and would thoroughly recommend this trip for anyone looking for an authentic Okavango experience.

Excellent, Caring, Professional

Nalange Mobile Safaris was unforgettable experience. Tebla’s team did their absolutely best to care for all our needs. The tents were cozy, the camps were safe and the safaris were amazing. The meal plan offered a good variety of food, was ten out of ten and met our dietary requirements precisely. The team even provided a fascinating entertainment programme for each night including breathtaking stargazing in the middle of the bush. Tebla was not only an excellent guide but a good organizer who planned the whole trip for us. Totally recommended!

Tebla was an excellent guide, with deep knowledge about region and wildlife. He was always willing to fulfill all wishes of the group. Everything was perfectly organized by him and his team, to make our trip as comfortable as possible. We gained an inside view about landscape and life in Moremi and the Okavango Delta, which went much further than we expected. All staff involved: cook, camp manager, Mokoro driver and guide himself were very reliable and trustworthy in every thing they did and offered. We will never forget this experience and are very thankful for the time we spent together. We hope to be able to travel again once to this incredibly nice region of our world. Excellent mobile safari trip with a top notch guide!

We had a spectacular mobile safari experience with Tebla at Nalange Safaris. Our party of 6 (including two teenagers) had a trip of a lifetime visiting Moremi/Kwai/Savuti in August for 9 days. Tebla and his team attended to every detail, ensuring we had a true wilderness experience away from the crowds, while being extremely comfortable. Having traveled in Africa with many other guides, I can say that Tebla was the most knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and his home country as I’ve ever encountered. And he is warm, genuine, funny and a pleasure to be around. As is his team. He will work with you to devise an itinerary that will suit your budget and interests. Great communication before, during and after the trip. I would highly recommend this company and Tebla specifically. You will not be disappointed!
