Kind, accommodating and knowledgeable
I had the most amazing tour. The accommodation was fabulous, the sights amazing and even the hiccups were fun!
I travelled through Namibia, Botswana finishing in Zimbabwe and experienced everything I hoped for. I not only saw the great sights but experienced the people of Africa and saw a little of real life there, both hardship and joy. I experienced some of the soul of Africa, which is its people. The people I met were humbling and a real joy, particularly the hotel/lodge staff and excursion and national park guides .
The trip ran very smoothly and out tour guides adapted with calmness to any hiccups or adjustments needed. You could feel that they wanted you to have the best time and worked hard to give you that, I felt safe and confident in the care of the company staff at all times. The planning, communication and delivery was fabulous.
A special shout out to our Tour Guides Mthokozisi and Stanford who were simply the best; what fabulous human beings, supported by the brilliant Pamela and colleagues. They were so kind, calm and helpful with great knowledge. They made the trip even better.

Fantastic tour operator
Highly recommended, reliable and safe tour operator

Overall good service - planning stage was average, execution of tour was above average/fantastic.
Planning (average):
During the planning stage, tour operator was very helpful in making changes to the itinerary based on what we requested for, and provided different options for us to choose from along with recommendations as well. However, our names were mostly mis-spelled (we were occasionally even given names which were not ours), and sometimes the questions we had would remain unanswered (e.g. whether luggages with wheels would be allowed; whether we need to bring cash in the local currency instead of just USD) and we would need to do our own research through the internet which honestly defeats the purpose of having a tour operator, in my opinion. Nonetheless, the execution of the tour was near perfect.
Execution (above average):
Upon arrival at the airport, our guide, Stanford, greeted us warmly and enthusiastically and was diligent in providing us with a run-through of our overall itinerary while assuring us that he would give us reminders every now-and-then about what would be happening next, what time to gather, etc - which was helpful as not everyone in the group was fully aware of the itinerary. He would also readily provide answers to our questions about the things/animals we saw, places we visited, etc, and even provided further information that he thought would enhance our experience (e.g. the local culture and practice). One big plus point for us (as we were there mainly to see the animals) was that Stanford has really good eyesight - he spotted animals hiding in the bushes alongside the roads/highways even though they were about 50-100 metres away and we were travelling at speeds of 100km/h or more. Stanford is an amazing guide who not only paid attention to our needs and moods/emotions but also enhanced our experience through casual conversation and explanation of how things worked in the areas we visited, while keeping us aware of what would happen next (so there would not be unwanted surprises) and made us feel safe and secure at all times.
Overall, we are satisfied by the services provided and will definitely engage their services again in the future.
Every detail of the trip was well planned.
We just completed the most wonderful trip. We arrived at the Zimbabwe airport and Kudzi met us at the airport. We dropped our bags off at the Nkozi hotel and started out afternoon on the river cruise. The next day Kudzi picked us up after a restful night of sleep and delightful breakfast at the hotel. We headed to Chobe, Botswana for the day. Every step of the way, Kudzi guided us with transportation and coordinated all of our Chobe guides with a handoff. We were never left alone to figure it off ourselves and our days were perfectly coordinated. We were always on time thanks to Kudzi!
We returned back to Zimbabwe the following morning with each of the next 3 days perfectly planned and timed. We saw all 5 of the Big 5 animals during our trip there in Zimbabwe and Chobe. Moreover, the staff at the hotels and each excursion were so kind during our stay.
I would highly recommend Africa Zim travel. They handled everything for us and were so accommodating to adjusting our itinerary during our planning stage. Special thanks to Pam and Shannon for the planning and to Kudzi for being an exceptional guide and executor of a magical and stress-free trip.
Excellent and meticulous. Wonderful lodges(the best!)
We stayed at the River Lodge in Botswana, which was quiet and rustic. The entire Chobe experience was amazing! Within the first 3 hrs, we saw lions feeding off a fresh kill elephant, leopards, giraffea, watee buffalo and much more! The river experience was amazing for hippos and crocs everywhere.
Back in Zimbabwe, I cannot say enough great rhings about the Nkosi lodge. Their mosquito nets were impeccable and they provide lotion. Although, I hardly saw a single mosquito there in 4 days. The Victoria Falls was beautiful and sublime. The tour guide took a long time for the preamble. I would recommend bringing ponchos and raincoats and NOT keeping out expensive electronic cameras for the second half of the walk on Victoria Falls.
I wasn't really that interested in the Boma or the bonfire dinner. i did LOVE the lookout cafe (do not miss).
Overall, Pam and the two guides Kudzi and Stanford were awesome!
