Amazing 13 day Trip to Rwanda
Golden Rwanda Expeditions provided a wonderful tour of Rwanda’s beautiful country. We started planning about a year out and did a lot of research on SafariBookings.com. It was important to us to work with a local Rwandan company. Looking at itineraries, cost, and responsive communication, we chose Golden Rwanda and were so happy we did.
Frank was our contact over the months of planning and he was able to make the trip exactly what we wanted. He made suggestions for accommodations and was flexible when we had to make changes due to flight changes. Our group grew from the two of us to a group of 12 as friends joined the adventure. It is slightly nerve wracking to commit to a company you have never worked with before, but everything ran as smoothly as could be. Frank shared the contact info for our Trip Leader, Taufique, ahead of time and a week before our arrival, Mr. T reached out to welcome us. He was at the airport to greet us upon our late night arrival and the next day he and Sufiani, our seond tour leader, gave us our first “briefing” for the trip.
Everything we saw and did was incredible. The food and accommodations were top notch and every place we went was informed about our gluten-free and vegetarian dietary requests. Taufique and Sufiani made sure that we could all participate in all the activities to the best of our abilities. We visited Nyungwe, Volcanoes, and Akagera National Parks and stopped by Lake Kivu in between. We were able to see chimpanzees, gorillas, golden monkeys, giraffes, zebras, rhinoceroses, hippos, elephants, lions, cape buffalo, impala, and many many birds, including the great blue tarocco! We had a variety of ages (24-73) and fitness levels and everyone was able to see the gorillas. I know that Taufique and Sufiani worked hard behind the scenes to make everything come together so smoothly. We had two safari vehicles for the 12 of us, and Taufique and Sufiani drove us everywhere.
Overall, we found Rwanda to be a beautiful, welcoming, and easy country to visit. We were able to learn about the history of the country, see the incredible wildlife and conservation efforts, and watch everyday life unfold on our drives around the country. We hope to be able to return someday, and wholeheartedly recommend Golden Rwanda to anyone planning a trip to Rwanda. They can do anything.

High end and all inclusive
Abu was excellent guide. We spent 3 days with him. He explained the country culture and made sure we were very well taken care of. We stayed at perhaps the nicest hotel I have ever been to outside the park for the chimps. He helped us get a good guide for the gorillas as well. I highly recommend the company and the man
Touring Rwanda was a great experience
We were a group of 12 adults on a two week tour of Rwanda in June/July. Gorilla trekking was the primary goal of our tour and Golden Rwanda added many wonderful locations & experiences either side so that we came away feeling that we had really seen & enjoyed a lot more. Our guide/drivers (2), vehicles & accommodations were very good. Really glad we got to see the Nyungwe forest & also lake Kivu. Pace of the tour was mostly good though towards the end I was flagging.
Everything you could want
I can 100% recommend this tour company and our tour guide Abou who was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly person.Everything from minute we arrived to Kigali and until we were dropped off back to airport was super organised.Big plus was flexibility and willingness to show us the best Rwanda can offer as few days before our arrival - our flight from London got cancelled so we had different arrival date and had to spend one extra day in Rwanda.Without any worry we were able to reorganise our itinerary based on our wants.You could feel that the company tries its best to make sure you are satisfied with everything.As for the accommodations,itinery and overall experience in Rwanda - everything was perfect,we saw exactly what we wanted and more,literally nothing to complain about.Once again it wouldn’t be possible without Abou,if you are reading it - thank you,I really enjoyed our talks while we were driving all over the country and meeting local people.

Visited Nyungwe and Volcanoes National Parks in Rwanda with three grandchildren. An exhilarating and wonderful wildlife experience. M.Taufique was our guide who contributed substantially to the fun and excitement of the trip. The quality of the lodges was “top drawer”. The quality of the safari company could not be improved upon. Memorable.
