It is a family-owned business, and at the age of 32 years, Beatus (founder) stands out as a director of sales and operations while his wife remains in quality and branding control. Amazing time with Passionate Guides Tanzania!
I traveled with my husband and my siblings in law (husband's brother and his wife) and we all had a wonderful time with Passionate Guides Tanzania, specifically with our guide, Michael, who was friendly, knowledgable, and an overall great person to experience the safari with. Beatus, who helped us manage our booking, was also super helpful and responsive. We did a 10-day safari with stops in Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti NP, and Lake Naturon. I loved all of those places, but personally, would recommend skipping Lake Naturon if you need to prioritize, as we really only saw flamingos on the lake and walked to and swam in a waterfall, which all were fine but definitely not the highlight of the trip and it took a bit of time to drive out there. In general, the trip was amazing, once-in-a-lifetime and we saw pretty much all the animals we wanted to see, which is of course never a guarantee, but we were fortunate this time! Thanks so much to Passionate Guides Tanzania (especially Michael and Beatus) for making this an experience we'll fondly remember forever!
Willing to go the extra mile for an authentic experience
We started planning our safari about a year in advance. I randomly found Passionate Guides Tanzania on SafariBookings after initially looking at more large scale companies' websites. After reading the reviews and receiving prompt replies from the founder Beatus, I did not even consider booking with another company. We were always quickly responded to throughout the entire process. The people were wonderful once starting our trip -- Monica and Joseph on Kenya side were beyond hospitable and kind with welcoming us to safari. The truck was spacious and comfortable even on long bumpy game drive days. Having a personal guide to find animals of priority and take extra time for perfect photos was everything. Athuman in Tanzania blew us away from day one. He always went the extra mile for us. Whether it was wine, getting us the perfect leopard shot, or even a surprise birthday cake, he is truly passionate about giving his clients the best safari experience. Beatus even gave us a tour of their headquarters and asked for feedback at the end of the trip. I could go on and on about our best trip ever... I am sending all my friends/family/strangers to PGT to plan their safari.

We have only rave reviews for Passionate Guides! Othuman was our incredible guide through 4 parks in 6 days. He was knowledgeable, experienced, chock full of information, and fun. The accommodations were clean, large, beautiful, and in perfect locations. Beatues communicated well with us and planning the trip was simple on our end. Passionately Guides is definitely the best company to use for this trip of a lifetime!
