Great experience with our private safari in Katavi and Gombe national parks in Tanzania

We had a great experience with Makunga Tours in the planning of our safari to both Katavi National Park and Gombe National Park in Western Tanzania. These are more quiet parks and less travelled than e.g. Serengeti, that's why we liked them more! Our driver Juma was the best and really helped make our trip memorable by spotting all the possible wildlife!
The service and communication was also great, Maryfester Peter was our point of contact and she really went above and beyond to accommodate our wishes. Also during the trip she kept in touch to see if all went well and if we enjoyed the trip so far.
Value for money was also very good, exactly the combination of luxury and privacy that we liked within our budget.

I would for sure recommend going on a trip with Makunga Tours.

I was there with my husband for a short stay, and I couldn't belief my eyes oh my god such an incredible Island and trust me the natives were nice towards us. How could I forget the Swahili Bush Retreat. God bless you FADHILA. WE LOVE THE RECEPTION. Thank you

The whole tour was flexible which allowed my wife and I to have enough time to spend with each other and enjoy the moment. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and really understood their work and discharged their responsibility with top professionalism. Unforgettable Safari Adventure with Makunga Tours!

We just returned from an incredible 8-day safari adventure in Tanzania, and we couldn't be happier with our experience with Makunga Tours.

From the very beginning, the communication with Makunga’s representative — Maryfester Peter — was exceptional. She designed a tailor-made itinerary that perfectly matched our schedule, interests, and budget. Her attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism were evident in every email. Every question we had was answered promptly and clearly, which gave us complete peace of mind – especially since we were planning everything from another continent.

Our guide, George, was simply outstanding. Every evening, he would sit with us to decide on the next day’s plan based on our wishes and what animals we still hoped to see. Tireless, knowledgeable, and passionate, he made each day a new and exciting adventure. Thanks to him, we had unforgettable encounters with wildlife in their natural habitat, and we learned so much along the way.

I felt honored due to excellent service provided by Makunga Tours and Safaris. Excellent briefing by Madam, Fadhila about the area, traditionally build cottages and types of fruits around. It was different experience there having local organic foods which were show-cased in clay pots. I experienced peace of mind and full of positive vibes there. Fortunately, got to meet Ms. Sasha, managing director of Sasha Spice Africa in the same event. It was nice intraction with her and came to know more about Africa. Thank you Makunga Tours and Safaris and Madam, Fadhila for this excellent treats. I wish to visit again in the future.
