Exceptional – Our experience with Bienvenido was truly exceptional, from the planning to the safari
From a Repeat Safari-Goer (But Never This Lucky Before)
I’ve been on safaris before, but never have I been this lucky until I traveled with Bienvenido Kenya Tours and Safaris.
Usually, spotting the Big 5 and witnessing the migration feels like a matter of chance. But with Mr. Joffrey as our guide, it felt like destiny. In just 1.5 days in Masai Mara, we checked off everything—the wildebeest migration, 20 lions, a leopard on a tree, elephants, rhino, hippos, zebras, buffalos, and antelopes galore. His sharp knowledge of the land gave us the experience most people wait years for.
Beyond Mara, Lake Nakuru and Naivasha stunned us with their birdlife, and Amboseli gave us the dream sight of elephants against Kilimanjaro and even six cheetahs together—something I had only read about until now.
Our stays were just as memorable—Miti Mingi Camp’s food, Buraha Zenoni’s warm hospitality, Leisure Apex’s comfort, and especially Niyati Camp in Amboseli, where I lay under the stars staring at the Milky Way with Kilimanjaro across my tent.
One of the highlights of our trip was definitely the food! Every place we stayed served such tasty meals, and the variety was impressive. The beef dishes stole the show — cooked in so many different styles, each one more delicious than the last. From barbecued flavors to rich stews, every bite felt like a treat.
Thanks to Mr. Kennedy for his flawless planning. This trip redefined what a safari means for me—it wasn’t luck, it was true expertise making the impossible happen.

Unforgettable – The trip was unforgettable, filled with amazing sightings and warm hospitality.
From a Travel Enthusiast’s Perspective
As an avid traveler, I’ve explored many countries, but my safari with Bienvenido Kenya Tours and Safaris will remain one of the highlights of my life.
Our guide Mr. Joffrey was the soul of the trip. His fatherly guidance and unmatched experience made sure we didn’t miss a single sight. From witnessing the migration of wildebeests, spotting lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, zebras, and even a leopard on a tree, to watching countless species of birds around Lake Nakuru and Naivasha, every moment was an adventure. And then Amboseli left us speechless—six cheetahs together, herds of elephants, and Mt. Kilimanjaro standing tall in the background.
The accommodations added charm to the journey—Miti Mingi Camp’s homely meals, Buraha Zenoni’s luxurious welcome, Leisure Apex’s relaxing comfort, and the unbeatable experience at Niyati Camp in Amboseli, where we had Kilimanjaro in front of us and the Milky Way above us.
Warm & Personal Style.
Our Africa journey wasn’t just about the safaris — the food made it extra special too. At every stop, we were welcomed with flavorful meals that felt both homely and indulgent. The beef dishes stood out the most; prepared in multiple ways, they gave us a true taste of Kenya’s hospitality. Every meal was a joy and added to the magic of our trip.
A big shout-out to Mr. Kennedy for his flawless coordination, even helping us with our onward journey to Mombasa. This wasn’t just a safari—it was a seamlessly curated lifetime experience.

Amazing wildlife experience
We got picked up early in the morning in Nairobi for our 2-day Masai Mara safari during the great migration. Every went well en the communication with the tour operator was very good. When we arrived at the accommodation we got lunch and after lunch we checked in for our tent. The tent was pretty decent and you have your own bathroom which is pretty descent for a budget tour. After checking in and relaxing for a bit we went for our first game drive in the Masai Mara, it was amazing, everywhere you looked you saw herds of wildebeests, loads of zebra's, impala's, some elephants, buffalo's, Lions and a lot of other animals. When we came back at the accommodation we found out that on the 2-day tour we only had a few hours on the second game drive the next day and that we wouldn't go to the iconic river the next day so we asked our driver Okindo if we could extend our safari by one more day. He immediately started calling the office and everything was arranged very quickly because of the great communication.
The next day we had a very early breakfast and after that we left the accommodation to go on our second game drive, again we saw the most amazing sightings of animals. Everywhere you looked there were so many big herds of Wildebeests with zebra's, we also saw loads of giraffes, impala's, hartebeests, elephants, lions. At the end of the morning we went to see hippo's and crocodiles at a river and after that we had lunch.
After lunch we went to the river to hopefully see the migration cross the river, but after waiting for a total of more than a hour we decided to drive around in the park again because they just didn't cross unfortunately. It's sad that we didn't see the river crossing but it's nature and everything happens on natures terms but in the end I had one of the most impressive experiences of my life!
Okindo was a great tour guide with a lot of experience. He tried to make sure that everybody had the best time possible. He did amazing and the future groups that he has to guide are lucky having him as their guide.

Very good communication and accurate description of tour.
We did a quick 2 day tour of Amboseli in August 2025. Picked us up around 7:30am the first day in Nairobi, then about a 4-5 hour drive to a camp site near the park gate. There was one stop on the way for coffee and bathroom, at a touristy store / rest area. Upon arrival at camp, we got set up in our tent and then had lunch after. Overall campsite experience was great, there were power outlets and WIFI all working fine. There was also phone signal the entire time. The food provided at camp was also really good. Around 3:30-5:30pm there was a game drive on day 1, followed by Dinner around 7pm. Day 2 we had breakfast around 7:30am and from 8-10am went for a second game drive. After the game drive, we started the return to Nairobi with another stop for lunch (this time, lunch was not included). Driver stopped at a fancy store place with restaurant and bathrooms. By 5pm we were back in Nairobi on day 2. Overall it was amazing experience, and we got to see many zebras, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, monkeys, but only 1 lion on the first day. It really depends on several factors. Also, the view from the campsite to mount Kilimanjaro is not guaranteed. First day it was cloudy and not visible at all. Second day was only partially visible in the early hours 7-8am, then it got cloudy again. There were also extra activities you could do, such as early morning walk day 2 with a Masai person outside the campsite and also visit a Masai village. Both of these were extras and cost about $20 USD per person each, we chose not to do it.

An unprofessional and disorganised tour operator that prioritises convenience over customer safety,
I had one of the most disorganised and stressful safari experiences with this company. From the start, communication was chaotic — I was left waiting alone for hours, squeezed into the back of the vehicle despite a car sickness note, and later found I’d be sharing a room without any prior notice, even though I’d paid for a premium package.
Throughout the trip, there were repeated safety concerns:
- A suitcase was lost due to improper handling. We were stranded in a random village with no clear plan.
- The replacement driver was rude, shouted at passengers, and deliberately rushed our schedule.
- Our promised hotel was changed last-minute to a poorly maintained alternative during a thunderstorm. I got food poisoning after dinner.
- Our game drive was cut in half with no explanation.
- $47 in change from a ticket was taken by the driver — I only got it back after repeatedly pushing.
- Worst of all, I was left completely alone at the Tanzanian border for hours — no guide, no help, with a dying phone and no way to reach anyone. I felt scared and unsafe.
This experience was not only disappointing — it was dangerous. As a solo traveler, I expected better planning, communication, and basic duty of care. I cannot recommend this company unless they take accountability and make real improvements. If you care about your safety, please do not book this trip.
