Our trip was scheduled during the COVID pandemic when a lot of traveling had been suspended. Rwanda was one of the few countries that had implemented strict and effective protocol which allowed us to safely enter the country for eco tourism.

OffTrek Safaris was the consummate tour guide. They... Read more were timely and professional. Our schedule was clear and we entered the park and lodges with ease. Our tour guide, Emmy, was extremely patient and was committed to helping us spot the big five animals in the park. He helped us take amazing photos along the way.

I will remember that safari fondly and will definitely use OffTrek Safaris again when I visit Rwanda in the future.

Emmy is always prepared and very friendly.

Emmy was in contact with us before our arrival so that we knew what to expect. He was very organized and clearly communicated all of our trip logistics so we never had to worry about a thing. He was friendly, prompt, easygoing and eager to share Rwanda with us. He truly wanted us to have a wonderful experience and we did.

So well organized and knowledgeable but the main thing is his kindness.

We spent three days with Emmy and our family misses him already. So thoughtful, joyous, and funny. He organized every day and was absolutely a highlight of our time in Rwanda. I would recommend working with him to everyone I know.

My family and I had the most incredible and memorable experience in Rwanda we could’ve hoped for, all thanks to our amazing tour operator Emmy. Everything went so smoothly from the minute we stepped off the plane—Emmy was communicative, timely, very knowledgeable, and most importantly a wonderful person.... Read more He went above and beyond, even picking out a few fantastic restaurants for us to eat lunches at on our drives. By the end of our tour, it felt like we’d known him for weeks or months, not days! We were very sad to leave both him and Rwanda behind.

The tour itself was truly spectacular—trekking and seeing the gorillas is an experience I’ll never forget.

Emmy was the gold standard for what I would want in any tour guide going forward: a friend.
