Excellent, cooperative, knowledgable guide for the safaris
I opted for a two day Maasai Mara trip from Nairobi in March 2024. Patrick, the organizer has been most prompt and helpful with his responses in to the initial queries I had. Dennis, the guide and driver for the trip was an excellent companion to the Maasai village and the national reserve, with his thorough knowledge of the wildlife and their spotting in the vast landscape. It is a trip worth your money!

Professional safari tour
It is really hard to say how we are satisfied with Mateo Travel and Adventure. I hardly explain how we are grateful to Patrick. He organised us everything. They picked up us from the airport and at the end of the 6 days Big 5 safari tour our guide, George dropped off and helped us with the security check-in at the train station (Emali). Patrick organized us the train tickets and the transfer from Mombasa to our next hotel. We just had to get in and get out of the car. Our guide George is the No1. He has 20 years of experience. He knows everything about the National Parks, animals. He was really patient with us because we wanted to take photos about every bush and every animal. So he had to stop every 2 second but he happily did it. The accomodations were also perfect.
So long story for short don't hesitate booking at Mateo. You won't regret it. I guarantee.
PS. We saw much more animals than we would have tought it. We catched the big 5 of course.

Good experience overall
The safari tour was a great experience. It was possible to see various species and the guide was looking around for animals. The organisation could be improved more with a detailed description of the tour. Great experience overall.

Matching of miner details including timings,taste and preference, same area accomodations has improved the small variations that can be experienced during group joining tour.

Well organized Mount Kenya tour with a lovely team
We had a great time doing the 4-day hike to Mount Kenya. Patrick helped us with everything beforehand and was always quick at answering! He dropped us off at the Sirimon gate where we met with the guide and the porters. From the beginning, everyone made sure we had everything we needed. They told us about the area, cooked delicious meals for us and gave us advice when necessary! Overall a great trip!

A brilliant tour!
I wouldn't hesitate booking with Mateo Travel & Adventure, they're really excellent.
Right from the beginning when we were looking at booking, until the tour itself and post- tour the communication was really fast, helpful and professional. Big shout out to Patrick for making it all so easy.
We did the two day Amboseli tour with our guide Livingstone who drove safely, made sure we saw some amazing animals and was really professional throughout. We just wished we'd booked a longer tour! We'll be back. Thank you!

Amazing host, great communication, made our trip special!
Patrick and Livingston made our trip so special. From the moment we booked Patrick was constantly in communication and helped us with information on vaccinations, visa etc. The trip was completely flexible and tailored to our individual tastes to make it exactly what we wanted. Once we arrived Patrick met us at the airport which was a great personal touch. Livingston our driver always reliable and on time and had great knowledge of the Masai Mara and animals on the game drive. I highly recommend to any other travellers! 5 stars!

Gave us a fabulous experience and really good value
Patrick was so great at organising our trip, where we squeezed a 5 day trip into 4. The safari were wonderful but the whole experience was perfect. A small diverse group staying in good accommodation for our budget and great food. Really enjoyable, highly organised and great value.
