Vacation of a lifetime
Recently went on a two week trip to Tanzania and Uganda with my best friend. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. From the beginning planning stages through the entire trip the communication with Anne from Megawild Safaris was excellent. She always answered all of my questions promptly and provided great information. We could not have asked for better guides in each country (Baker in Uganda and Minja in Tanzania) They both were amazing and shared so much information about the local people, animals and the country as a whole. We were able to spend as much time as we wanted just observing the animals we came across and allowing us to always get the perfect picture. We saw the big five and so much more. Of course the chimpanzee and gorilla trekking were highlights but the entire trip was more than we could have ever expected. The accommodations were all great with each location having something unique to offer. The price was extremely reasonable for everything that was included. Do not hesitate to book with Mega Wild Safaris.

Incredible
For our 12-day safari, there were two of us, and we had an unforgettable experience! We had the pleasure of observing numerous animals, sometimes at very close range. The lodges were exceptionally pleasant, and our guide and driver were incredibly knowledgeable.

Couldn’t be happier!
Uganda - amazing 9 days seeing so many different parts of the country.
Whilst the highlights were so obviously the chimps and gorillas, we loved all the wildlife, villages, children and all the lodges.
Favourite had to be Aadvark Lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP.
We spent 9 days with Baker who enthralled us with his bird knowledge, we had many a lively chat about the differences between the UK and Uganda and have some thoughts to bring home!!
We both totally fell in love with the country.
Rwanda - we were surprised how different the two countries were and so we were able to enjoy the landscape, villages and people, plus of course the wildlife.
We were with James for 3 days who was wonderful and explaining the countries history with such pride and dignity!
We stayed at Akergara Rhino lodge for 2 nights - absolutely wonderful lodge and couldn’t recommend enough.
The genocide memorial museum was tough, but so it should be and felt humbled to hear their stories.
Guides - Both Baker and James were brilliant and made so much effort to ensure we saw as much as we could, thank you both.
Company - we have dealt predominantly with Anne, who answered all our emails super quick & effectively from the very start of our enquiry about the safari itself.
Thank you for everything.
We have returned feeling very privileged to have seen everything we have seen.

Well Planned Safari Adventure
We had a memorable experience with Megawild Safaris and would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking to explore East Africa. From the very beginning, Anne worked with us to build a customized itinerary that covered everything we wanted—from the wildlife of Maasai Mara and Serengeti to a relaxing beach escape in Zanzibar. She handled all the logistics, including accommodations and interflights, making it easy for us to focus on enjoying the trip.
While communication could have been a bit smoother (we had to follow up multiple times for hotel and flight confirmations), having WhatsApp made a big difference in keeping things on track before and during the trip. We highly recommend using it for coordination.
Our guides were outstanding. Julius met us upon arrival in Nairobi and stayed with us throughout our time in the Maasai Mara. He drove us all the way to the Tanzania border, where we were warmly greeted by Benjamin, who guided us through both North and Central Serengeti. Their deep knowledge and years of experience meant we saw an incredible range of wildlife—far more than we expected.
Benjamin also made sure we were dropped off at the airstrip for our flight to Zanzibar, where we wrapped up our journey at a beautiful beachfront resort Anne helped us book.
Overall, Megawild Safaris delivered a thoughtfully planned and unforgettable experience. With a bit of proactive communication, you’re in excellent hands.

Amazing vacation
Our group did the 14 day wildlife and primates. What an experience. All the lodges/camps the food & service were perfect. The guides were both well prepared and full of knowledge. We saw all of the big 5 and several other rare animals. The value vs price cannot get a better deal. Superb price point and safari. The 3 treks were amazing.

Absolutely amazing safari in Uganda & Tanzania
We have just returned home to Australia after our 23 day tour of Uganda & Tanzania with Mega Wild Safaris - and what a spectacular experience! From my very first enquiry, Anne was so quick and helpful with our questions (we wanted to customise our tour based on the season). This excellent communication continued while we were on safari as Anne was always contactable.
Our safari guides (Baker in Uganda and David in Tanzania) were excellent - really experienced guides are worth their weight in gold and and make a real difference re how many animals you will see and how close you will get.
11 days in each country also meant we weren't rushed - instead of a quick fly-by of a particular animal, we had the time to really sit and watch them.
We had just the 3 of us in our jeep - so nice to have plenty of room to move around when the top was up. In contrast we saw lots of jeeps packed with 6 - 8 people which didn't look so comfortable.
The accommodation was also fantastic, the food was delicious (so much food!) and lovely friendly people everywhere.
Trekking the chimps and gorillas in in Uganda was a real highlight of course but we delighted in every animal (large or small) that we came across.
We highly recommend Mega Wild - you won't be disappointed!

Very impressed with everything - the service, the hotels, the efficiency and the coordination
Julius was a truly wonderful guide, with an obvious deep love and interest in all the wildlife. He was a very kind, gentle and considerate man who performed his job to perfection. The hotels and lodges were all truly amazing, but I particularly loved the lodge at Tsavo NP where we could watch elephants bathing and playing in the pools from the bar and the bedroom! The service from Mega was mega! At one pont the vehicle broke down (it happens!) and we were collected by another member of the team within 15 minutes and taken seamlessly to our next destination. As we travelled from Kenya to Tanzania then back to Kenya good co-ordination was essential, I was so impressed that everyone was always where they should be at the appointed times, we were never left waiting for anyone the entire two weeks. I would definitely use them again!
Personalized Safari
The Safari provided us with an excellent overview of several national parks of Uganda and Rwanda. The guides in each country went out of their way to make sure we got excellent viewings of wildlife. The lodging and food were outstanding throughout the trip. We highly recommend this Safari.

Mega mega Mega Wild Safaris
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an unforgettable trip to Uganda, and I can confidently say that the tour operator made it an exceptional journey. From start to finish, everything was flawlessly organized, and the attention to detail was remarkable. We visited several of the country's stunning national parks, each more beautiful and unique than the last.
The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and always eager to share their deep understanding of Uganda's wildlife and natural beauty. Whether we were tracking gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, spotting the "Big Five" in Queen Elizabeth National Park, or marveling at the breathtaking landscapes of Murchison Falls, every moment felt special.
The accommodations were top-notch, offering a perfect blend of comfort and immersion in nature. The transportation was safe and comfortable, with our driver always punctual and professional.
I highly recommend Mega Wild Safaris to anyone looking to explore the country’s incredible biodiversity and stunning landscapes. Their professionalism, expertise, and genuine love for Uganda made our trip unforgettable. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
