Great lions
Our six-day journey with great lions safaris was truly unforgettable because everything was organized perfectly, starting with the powerful murchision falls where the water crashes through the rocks,moving to queen Elizabeth national park where we saw amazing lions and hippos during our drives, and ending with the incredible experience of hiking through the thick forest of Bwindi to spend time with mountain Gorillas. Our guide was very friendly and knew exactly where to find the animals, our vehicle was strong enough for the bumpy roads, and the lodges where we slept each might where comfortable and beautiful making us feel safe and happy throughout the entire trip across Uganda if you want to see the best wildlife and beautiful landscapes while being treated like family, highly recommend booking with this company because they made sure every moment of our safari was easy exciting and full of wonderful memories

I recently had the pleasure of exploring Uganda's breathtaking landscapes with Great Lions Safaris, and I'm still pinching myself. Our 6-day adventure took us to the majestic Murchison Falls National Park and the enchanting Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
From the moment we arrived, our guide( David) , was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing Uganda's natural beauty. The game drives in Murchison Falls were exhilarating, with incredible sightings of elephants, giraffes, and lions. The boat cruise along the Nile River offered stunning views and a chance to spot hippos and crocodiles.
The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi. Witnessing these gentle giants in their natural habitat was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide's expertise and care ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trek.

Amazing safari/gorilla track and great value for the money.
We had an unforgettable experience with Great Lions Safari and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Uganda or Rwanda.
Our six-day tour included a city tour in Kampala, a rhino safari at Ziwa, thrilling game drives, two days of fishing at Murchison Falls, and an incredible gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We flew into Entebbe and departed from Kigali, which is closer to Bwindi.
The entire trip was meticulously planned by Justus, who took our preferences into account while designing the itinerary. The tour was flawlessly executed, and we encountered no issues throughout the journey. The accommodations were top-notch, and the national parks were breathtaking, teeming with wildlife. After considerable planning, we found that Great Lions offered the best value compared to other agencies we contacted.

Amazing personalized local experience!
We loved our experience with Great Lions Safari in Uganda and would for sure recommend!
It is a very small local business owned by Justus who made sure all the time that we had the very best experience.
Since the beginning, when we were planning the trip, he adjusted the itinerary many times until it became very personalized to what we wanted. Other companies didn´t accept our suggestions mainly because one day was a very long day of driving but Justus embraced our itinerary and made it happen :) It was a very good value for the money considering other big agencies have more people involved in the process so it costs more for the same experience.
Also, before our trip, we considered cancelling it because of the situation that developed in Congo but Justus was very good in addressing our concerns, sending pictures of tours happening and doing his best so we could feel safe enough to go.
Both him and Dominic (who was our guide since Justus was not able to join the tour himself) were very energetic and good company, caring for our safety and comfort all the time. The accommodations that he booked for us were great, he even provided us with an upgrade.
All the activities that we did were amazing, we loved all of them.
The Gorilla trekking was unforgettable, a once in a lifetime experience!!

Reliable and recommendable tour company
We did 5days Chimpanzee & Mountain Gorilla trekking, which was the highlight of the trip. The close access to the animals was such a surprise, but also amazing. The trek to the Mountain Gorillas was a challenge, but so worth it. The guides and the entire staff helping with the trek was just awesome. It was a "once in a lifetime" experience for sure. Our tour guide Justus from Great lions safaris was amazing and he made the trip memorable for us.
