Brilliant Adventures and Safaris provided us with a comfortable, safe, & thrilling safari adventure
First, the communication between us and the Brilliant Safari team was excellent. Lightness provided prompt and thorough responses to all of our questions via email, we felt the communication was excellent. I can't personally speak on the prices, as Brilliant was the only company we researched, and we were so satisfied, we didn't feel the need to reach out to any other companies. However, I believe the value for money was excellent. We chose the midrange option and it felt very luxurious. Our safari guide, George, exceeded our expectations. His driving was phenomenal, even during very wet and tricky conditions in the Serengeti. The meals provided were excellent, especially having hot lunches, rather than boxed lunches. We were very pleased with the choices of accommodations. Finally, the condition of the vehicle was superb. The safari vehicle seemed to be much nicer than many of the other companies we passed. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris, and would recommend to anyone looking to combine a safari in the northern circuit of Tanzania with some relaxing beach time in Zanzibar.

Bony is amazing!

We had Bony (Bonafasa) as our safari guide and he is amazing! Being on a game drive isn't always easy when it comes to looking for wldlife, especially the Big 5. He was able to spot animals in the distance when other companies just drove past. He was very respectful of them and nature and never crowded any animals. He is a wealth of knowledge with all kinds of info on animals, birds and the enviornment. He was also very cautious when on a game drive. We saw many other safari companies stuck in the mud or other areas. Bony would get out of the vehicle and guage the the area, water height, ruts in the road...etc. to determine if it was safe. He never compromised our safety on the game drives.

Our experience with Brilliant Adventures and Safaris transcended our expectations. From our initial communication with booking the tour to leaving Arusha after our tour was over, we were amazed by the service from our driver guide George and our agent Julieth. They were communicative, reliable, flexible and very accommodating to our needs. We appreciated that the tour was private and customizable to the experience we wanted. We saw an amazing side of Tanzania and the passion and knowledge that George has for nature was brilliantly shown to us throughout our 8 days with him. We had the privilege of learning about everything from way of life to animals to language, and saw amazing wildlife along the way. We are very happy with our experience and believe it was worth every penny.

From the organization to the communication and the execution, everything was Brilliant. Our guide Bonnie made all the difference. Having been in the business for more than a decade, he showered my family with his knowledge, patience and his experience shone through when we checked all the boxes we wanted to check … the Big Five, The Migration, the gorgeous scenery, a Maasai ceremony that happens once in 7 years, we swam with dolphins in Zanzibar and we even had a local village meal off the beaten path, the list goes on….
We have ticked off a bucket list trip and we are so grateful to Bonnie and Brilliant, we have no qualms recommending this operator to anyone wanting a perfect experience in Tanzania. Can’t wait to be back one day!

The organisation and communication before the tour went smoothly and was very reliable and the booking process transparent. Indidividual wishes were accomodated for. Great organization and communication from the tour operator (Lightness from Brilliant Safari) that assisted us during the whole trip from the airport through safari (ngoro ngoro and Serengeti park) to Zanzibar and back to the airport.
