Kili Hike Adventures Made Our Dream Safari Come True
We had an exceptional experience with Kili Hike Adventures, and we truly cannot recommend them enough. From the initial planning stages to the very last day of our safari, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine thoughtfulness.
We began working with Kelvin several months in advance, and he was consistently responsive and professional throughout the entire process. He always replied to our messages within 12 to 24 hours and worked closely with us to understand our budget and preferences, ultimately curating the perfect safari itinerary. Just a few days before our trip, he reached out to confirm all the details and even informed us that some of our accommodations had been upgraded—an unexpected and appreciated surprise that set a wonderful tone for our journey.
Our safari guide, Issa, was truly outstanding. Having a knowledgeable and personable guide makes all the difference on a multi-day safari, where you’re spending long days together in close proximity—and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Issa was professional, warm, engaging, and incredibly experienced, with over 15 years of guiding under his belt. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and environment, combined with his clear passion for what he does, made every moment of the safari exciting and memorable.
Issa drove carefully and safely, worked closely with other guides to track animals during our game drives, and ensured we had the best possible sightings. Throughout the game drives, he went out of his way to make sure each of us got to see our favorites—whether it was lions, elephants, leopards, or giraffes. You could genuinely feel his excitement whenever he got a lead from another guide; he’d light up, and we’d all take off to try and catch the moment. It was also great to see Issa get excited about seeing his favorite animal - the cheetahs! He wasn’t just doing a job—he was truly invested in making the experience special for us. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and he seemed just as thrilled as we were every time we spotted something amazing.
We also want to highlight how supportive and accommodating both Kelvin and Issa were when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. A canceled flight from Qatar caused us to miss a day of our safari and arrive in Tanzania without our luggage. Despite these setbacks, they went above and beyond to make us feel supported and comfortable. They took us to local shops to buy essentials and personally coordinated with the airline to ensure our bags—despite being four hours away—arrived at our lodge by 6 a.m. the next morning, just in time for our next game drive.
From start to finish, Kili Hike Adventures delivered a seamless, well-organized, and incredibly special experience. Both Kelvin and Issa were thoughtful, dependable, and a true pleasure to work with. If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania, we highly recommend this company—and especially Issa as your guide. You will not regret it.

Diverse, educational
My friend and I spent 6 days on safari, and we went to at least 4 different parks. Our tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, birds, and plants. They had sharp eyes and we saw nearly every animal you could want to see. They were thoughtful and treated us so well—every lunch on safari was set up on a mini table with an abundance of food and drinks. Our driver did an excellent job of navigating the bumpy dirt roads in the most gentle way. They also took us on a hike on Mt Kilimanjaro, explained local culture, made a pit stop so I could try mbege (local beer made with millet and banana), took us to a market, and drove us to the airport. Overall it was a wonderful experience, I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a safari guide and/or climbing Mt Kilimanjaro!

George was THE BEST GUIDE I could have imagined for this trip.
I was put in touch with KiliHike owner, Steve, by a friend here in the States. He was incredibly warm and friendly from the start. I told him the time frame we wanted to be in Tanzania, and I provided him with a list of things my travel pal and I wanted to see and do. He put together a wonderful itinerary for us. Our safari+ guide, George, was THE MOST INCREDIBLE GUIDE! Eyes of a hawk (I swear he could see the tuft of a lion's ear peeking above the grasses from a mile away) and so knowledgeable about all the places we went, all the wildlife (even the birds), the Masai, the country, and its history. It became our light-hearted goal to try to stump him (we only did once... a flower he couldn't name). Aside from his knowledge, he was very good natured, and good humored, and he was an excellent driver, which really matters on those roads! Can't recommend this team enough!

Caring people trying to make the best memories
We met Steven the day before we left for the tour at the office in Arusha. We made all arrangements about the tour, the equipment, timing, food (allergies, …) and discussed about how to prepare for the days in the mountain.
All was planned well, we got picked up at our accomodation, even it was a bit outside the center and they also brought us back after the tour.
Steven was very caring and also the team which was joining us the 6 days was awesome! All the porters and the guides were very friendly and tried to do everything to make our adventure as comfortable as possible.

An unforgettable experience - one team, one dream… with the best crew of Kili Hike Adventures :)
We were a group of 5 girls (dada simbas) and chose Machame route for 6 days/ 5 nights.
All the arranging and organization before was very uncomplicated and easy. There was always a good communication with Steven, the owner of Kili Hike Adventures.
One day before we could try on the equipment for renting (we needed some stuff, because we were travelling for longer before - better to bring most of your own stuff, if possible :) and got a short briefing with a positive mindset.
From the transport, when we got picked up and dropped of again, everything was perfect!!
We had an unforgettable adventure the last 6 days (although it was raining a lot). The crew was amazing, we had 14 porters who carried our luggage, food, equipment for sleeping etc., 1 chef who cooked delicious food for us every day 2-3 times and 3 guides (Dismas, Fraterino and Theo), who made it possible for us to reach our dream = goal = summit = Uhuru peak = the top of the highest free standing mountain in the world!! Asante sana sana sana… we felt always in a good company and it was cool, that they really react on our needs. So I think for both sides it was easier in total. We were very glad, that we chose Kili Hike and wish them all the best for the future. :)

Once in a lifetime experience - hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro with an incredible team from Kili Hike
We were a group of 5 girls and chose to hike the Machame route in 6 days.
Beforehand we got a really good briefing from Kili Hike what we have to expect.
Our guides where Fratterino, Dismas and Theo - they where well experienced and we felt super save during the whole time.
In general the whole team (guides, porters and cook) where looking after us so amazingly - I can't really put it into words how friendly and thoughtfull they where. It felt like we found a new little family on the mountain. We had 14 porters with us, 3 guides and one cook.
The food was also really good (unfortuantly I could not enjoy it that much as I felt a little sick in my stomach most of the time ;))
It was definitely an adventure especially because it was raining so much. But all 5 of us made it to the top and we are so happy and thankful that we decided to do that.
For people who also want to do the hike I would recommend to bring as much as you have of your own stuff - because some stuff we rented was not the best.
But if I would do it again I would again choose Kili Hike! We had an amazing time!

Top-notch operator for an unforgettable lifetime Safari Experience
I had the most amazing time exploring Serengeti National Park and Ndutu during the Great Wildebeest Migration, all thanks to Kilihike Adventures. Their service provision for safari planning is truly exceptional.
Kelvin, our guide, was top-notch. His extensive knowledge and passion for the wildlife made our trip unforgettable. Despite the rainy weather, our driver Albert stood firm and steady, navigating the terrain with ease. He stopped every time we encountered animals, sharing fascinating stories about each one, which added immense value to our safari experience.
