This was an amazing experience and Taste of Kilimanjaro and their excellent guides made it happen!
This was such a great experience on so many levels. It was just my husband, my son and I and the guides and porters. Communication and booking was straight forward and easy, Edwin was wonderful, the information was easily accessible, they were responsive and helpful, and the value was unbelievable. We wanted to go with a local company and so glad we did! An expedition like this though doesn’t come together without the guides and crew. Our guides Chuewa and Hatibu were top notch. I can’t say enough good things about them. Professional, experienced, and great leaders (a combination of slowing us down and pushing when needed), and they assembled the best crew of porter’s and support team I can imagine. I couldn’t have dreamed this to be a better experience at a better price. Deep gratitude to the whole team!

Uhuru peak with Taste of Kilimanjaro, a dream come true
Our trip to the top of Kilimanjaro was planned by our son (23) for myself (62), my wife (61) and him. He communicated with a lot of companies, and selected Taste of Kilimanjaro. We don't know other companies, but it would be difficult to beat this one. Edwin is incredibly nice and responsive, everything happened exactly as we were told, so our expectations were met and so much more. The day before the climb, Edwin and our lead guide, Chewu, showed up at our hotel and very carefully checked all the gear items for each of us. Chewu was incredibly meticulous, leaving nothing to chance. We ended up renting a few additional items, it would have been possible to rent everything, in fact, but we had brought most of our stuff. The next day we started for the northern route (9 days). It was not easy, as I am not particularly fit, but every day turned out to be fabulous. Half way through the hikes, in the middle of nowhere, we would find a table set up with tablecloth, tea coffee and snacks. We were treated like royalty. Tents and meals were outstanding. The day of the final climb is super difficult, there is no way around it. The two guides were absolutely fantastic and made sure each of us was successful. This was a dream trip, a memory of a lifetime with a top notch team. After the top, we came back down in a day and a half. Fairly easy, but hard on the thighs and knees. Be prepared for that. Overall, I could not imagine a better outfit than Taste of Kilimanjaro.

Very professional local operation.
Our 6-day Marangu Route climb with Taste of Kilimanjaro was an incredible experience from start to finish. Submitting Kili was life changing and we clearly chose the best company.
Edwin, the local manager, was attentive to every detail and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. From the moment we arrived, everything felt organized and seamless. The hotel before and after the climb was excellent — hot showers and cold beer were exactly what we needed to bookend the adventure.
Our lead guide, Daniel Kitaa was truly outstanding. He was knowledgeable, patient, and brought such a positive energy to the mountain. We shared plenty of laughs while also learning so much over the course of six days. His experience and calm leadership made a huge difference.
Assistant guide Kojia was equally impressive — well-versed on the route and fully capable of stepping into the lead when needed. The guiding team worked together flawlessly.
Everest, our waiter, had the most infectious smile and was constantly attentive to our needs. Daniel (Babu), our cook, somehow created incredible meals every single day despite being far from conventional kitchen conditions. We were consistently impressed — and never hungry.
We also hired a toilet porter, which I highly recommend for the Marangu Route. If you’re lucky enough to get Georgie, you’re in for some fun — he’s a great guy and added to the overall experience.
And a huge thank you to our porters — Ally, Said, and Alfred. Their strength, grit, and resilience were remarkable. We truly could not have done it without them.
If you’re considering Kilimanjaro, this team will take exceptional care of you every step of the way. Highly recommend.

Superior
Our safari in Tanzania was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, the trip exceeded every expectation and felt perfectly planned.
We saw an incredible amount of wildlife—lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and even a leopard resting in a tree. Watching the animals in their natural habitat across the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater was truly unforgettable.
Our guide Tuma was outstanding: knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about wildlife and conservation. He always knew where to go and took the time to explain animal behavior, ecosystems, and local culture, which made the experience even richer.
The lodges were comfortable and beautifully located, with amazing views and good food. After long days on safari, it was wonderful to relax in such peaceful surroundings.
This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will treasure forever. If you are considering a safari in Tanzania, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.
We also spent 4 days in Zanzibar, also excellently organised.

I would describe them as an exceptionally professional for unforgettable African adventure.
Our experience with Taste of Kilimanjaro Adventures was outstanding from start to finish. Communication was fast, clear, and very professional — every question we had before the trip was answered promptly and in detail, which gave us great confidence while planning.
During the tour, the organization was flawless. The team was always punctual, reliable, and genuinely caring. Our guide, Frank, was exceptional — knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about wildlife and nature. He shared fascinating insights, spotted animals we would have never noticed ourselves, and made every day exciting and memorable. Thanks to him, we felt safe, comfortable, and very well looked after throughout the entire safari.
The service quality exceeded our expectations — from the accommodations to the vehicle and overall logistics — and the experience offered excellent value for money. Everything ran smoothly and exactly as promised.
We would highly recommend Taste of Kilimanjaro Adventures to anyone looking for an authentic, well-organized, and truly memorable African safari. We would definitely travel with them again!

Unforgettable trip with perfect organisation
We spent 6 days in Zanzibar and 6 days in Tanzania. Everything was perfectly organised, bookings in nice and clean hotels, reservations in spectacular restaurants. We were able to see all sides of Zanzibar. The safari in Manyara, Serengethi and Ngorongoro was unforgettable ! Our driver was absolutely perfect, high professional. We had really a once in a life experience. Thanks to our tavel agent we fell forever in love with Tanzania.
Safari & Zanzibar tour
We did a 12 combined holiday - sea + safari.
The programme made by Edwin was very good value. We stayed in Marriott hotel in Zanzibar 4 nights and then we took five days safari in Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The lodges were very good and our guide Tuma found all big 5 animals!
This was one of our best vacations.

Taste of K is defined by professionalism, heart, and the care of a truly personalized experience
I wanted to climb Kilimanjaro on my own, in just a few days and on a limited budget. After a lot of research, I chose Taste of Kilimanjaro and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Edwin helped me personalize my trip, always responding quickly and providing clear and detailed information.
The team that accompanied me—a guide and four porters—took incredible care of me and made me feel like part of the family. They transformed what could have been a difficult adventure into one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Every member of the team went above and beyond to meet my needs, often before I even had to ask.
Highly recommended, and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic customized services and wonderful team!
We were greeted by Edwin from Taste of Kilimanjaro Adventures upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport. A team of 8 people, one head guide (Daniel) and one assistant guide (Joshua), porters, and a cook accompanied us throughout the entire 7-day ascent to the summit of Kilimanjaro and the descent. Fantastic teamwork, they provided personalized service, tailored to our needs. The mountain is not at all easy, but they made my 20-year dream come true smoothly and comfortably, despite the difficulties of camping and other activities.
The 3-day Serengeti safari was also very satisfying; the driver, Frank, was very attentive and helpful with the information we requested and he knew the geography of the park very well.
I highly recommend Taste of Kilimanjaro!!! A+!

Personalised, well-supported trek with a great team—just clarify toilet setup before you go
As a solo female traveller, I felt completely supported and safe throughout my private Kilimanjaro trek. Communication before the tour was friendly and responsive, and the service was highly personalised—from the moment I landed to my departure, the team ensured everything ran smoothly.
My guide, Chuwa, was outstanding: experienced, wise and easy-going. The cook, Yusuph, prepared fresh, delicious meals every day, and the porters—Joseph, Ally, Alhaji and Issimail—were respectful, helpful and fun.
One area for improvement would be clearer communication about a couple of things: 1) toilet options on the trail (they are latrines and can be quite dirty) and the option to get a private one; 2) recommended gear in advance; 3) that unless you state it, the eating tent is also the sleeping quarters of the porters, while this was not a problem for me, others might feel uncomfortable.
Overall, it was a memorable and well-organised experience.
