First time on safari - so many animals - basic accommodation
Communication with Joshua went smoothly (apart from the politically motivated internet block).
For the price, we couldn't find anything that included Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Norongoro Crater – four days packed with experiences. (We saw an incredible number of animals.) It's important to be aware that the drive to the Serengeti takes a good half day each way.
And the accommodations are basic/modest, as expected for the price. Our first night was in a simple tent with a private bathroom that met the minimum hygiene standards (including a pool). The second night was in a small tent with sleeping bags and mats provided by the tour operator. The sanitary facilities were quite dirty, no light, no toilet paper... If you love adventure, then this is the perfect place for you, right in the middle of the Serengeti, unfenced and with less than the bare necessities. The last night was in the same tents, but with good sanitary facilities.
... The food was absolutely delicious every single day, and the kitchen staff went to great lengths to prepare it (they seemed to be cooking all night long), so we were even able to enjoy a hearty meal while out in the national park. Only one evening was there a bit of chaos with setting up the tent late and having dinner at 11:00 PM. :) The driver was very experienced and happy to provide detailed information about the animals and the region when asked. (We saw pretty much all the well-known animals of the area... and often several times... rhinos only from a distance.)

It's so wonderful to be able to see so many different animals.
It was a fantastic experience seeing so many animals and driving through the diverse landscapes. The food was delicious! The second night was quite an adventure. We were in the middle of nowhere in the Serengeti, where we could hear the lions from our tent. A crazy experience, but you have to be comfortable with the basic sanitary facilities.

Unforgettable experience!!
Thanks to Joshua, we had a very organised trip on a short notice. It was a 4 day trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The chef prepared delicious meals all through the trip. The transfers were perfectly organised from the hotel and to/ from the airport. Overall, the trip was very organised and enjoyable.
Would definitely recommend Moria Safaris!!

Customer oriented and trying to provide the best service possible
I really enjoyed the 4 days safari trip that I booked with Moria Safaris, that included all the main highlights of the 3 big national parks in Tanzania. I had 2 driver for those 4 days, a chef and other supporting staff such as taxi driver to airport. Everyone was very friendly and polite and tried to provide their best services which made my experience very enjoyable!

Reliable, more dependable
I participated in a 5-day group safari in Moria safari and was very satisfied. First of all, I would like to thank Joshua for believing in me. On the day we arrived in Arusha, he waited for me to come over to pay and assigned us two Chinese people. We played very well together. Secondly, we did not change the itinerary arbitrarily. We finally went to the northern, saw the wildebeests crossing the river, and also want to thank the guide, bato, who was very professional. He would explain what animals he saw, ask you what your favorite animal was, always smile at people, has a good personality, and will come early to pick you up. Hakuna matata!

An unforgettable safari Experince with moria safaris
My experience with Moria Safaris was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and truly passionate about what they do. Every detail was well organized from the smooth booking process to the comfortable accommodations and amazing game drives.
Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife, local culture, and landscapes. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five and so many other animals up close an experience I’ll never forget!
What stood out most was how Moria Safaris went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. You can tell they genuinely care about creating memorable experiences and supporting sustainable tourism.
I highly recommend Moria Safaris to anyone looking for a personalized, authentic, and unforgettable safari adventure. I’ll definitely be booking with them again and encouraging my friends and family to do the same

Butler-style service, caring about the feelings of travellers throughout the whole process.
Special praise for our driver Alisha, who is almost omnotent. Under his guide, we saw the Big Five, dozens of lions, and several leopards and cheetah. Vehicle problems can be handled quickly. Along the way, he also taught us Maasai language and teached us Maasai sings, which provided full of emotional value.
I also want to praise the chef Babu. Under limited conditions, he can cook all kinds of delicious food in different ways, and the amount of food is also sufficient. He silently served the food and silently cleaned up the leftovers.

Very experienced guide, providing various excellent animal observation and shooting angles
The entire itinerary is arranged reasonably, and the accommodation camp allows for close contact with animals such as zebras. The daily food is very suitable for Chinese tastes, and the prices are also very reasonable。

The wildlife reminded us to live in awe of nature and all life. We are one world!
It has been over ten days since my first safari trip ended. On the last day, the manager asked me to write a review on the spot to acknowledge their work, but I declined. I wanted to take my time after returning home to reflect on the experience and express my thoughts sincerely, rather than rushing to give a high rating just for the sake of it.
I came across Moria on Safari Booking somewhat serendipitously. I was almost ready to book with another company, but their response time was less than ideal. In contrast, Moria’s owner was responsive on WeChat, efficient, and professional. The pricing was reasonable, and I didn’t feel the need to negotiate. I customized my itinerary to include pre- and post-safari arrangements, airport transfers, and a 5-day budget shared group tour. Overall, it was well worth it.
The safari itself was enjoyable and relaxed. Our guide, Eli, was knowledgeable and managed to show us the Big Five and the Great Migration—we felt truly lucky. He was also communicative, observant, and clearly experienced. That said, toward the end of the trip, after long days on the road, he seemed a bit tired and occasionally less patient. This is understandable, as guiding the same trails repeatedly must be challenging, and maintaining constant enthusiasm isn’t easy.
One issue worth mentioning involves the group dynamics. Since it was a shared tour, guests from different companies were grouped together. Originally, the final day’s volcano safari was scheduled to end at 2 PM. However, due to some guests needing to catch a flight, the whole group had to return several hours earlier. I was initially told that separate transportation would be arranged for those in a hurry, so the rest of us wouldn’t be affected. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible, and we all returned together. To make up for the shortened activity, the company added a visit to a city museum, which I found to be a thoughtful gesture.
That said, the communication during this process was lacking. There was no prior notice or explanation from the company—everything was relayed through Eli after internal discussions. Even when I sent a message to inquire, I received no response. From a customer’s perspective, this felt dismissive. It seemed as though the company’s approach was simply to resolve issues internally without keeping the client informed or reassured. This may reflect the owner’s straightforward style, but at times, it came across as indifferent.
For example, on the first day, we agreed to meet at 8:10 AM. I received a call at 8:00 AM questioning why I wasn’t ready yet, and the owner’s tone felt rather cold and reproachful. I believe there’s room for improvement in terms of service awareness. The customer experience isn’t only about what happens on the safari—details and communication matter greatly.
I also think it would be helpful if the company provided a checklist of essential items or helpful tips before the trip. Many visitors are on their first safari and may not be fully prepared for conditions in the camp or what to bring. A simple list of tips would be a thoughtful touch—I’ve seen other agencies do this, and it’s greatly appreciated.
I’m sharing these points with the hope that Moria can recognize areas for refinement. Good communication and attention to detail are key not only to attracting customers but also to retaining them.
Before I left, the owner, Joshua, came to the vehicle and gave me a staff T-shirt. I had mentioned to Eli earlier that I liked the design, and he kindly arranged for me to have one. It was a meaningful souvenir, and I’m very thankful for that gesture.
Overall, the trip was smooth and enjoyable. I truly love this country and was touched by the warmth and friendliness of the local people. I sincerely hope Moria continues to grow and improve. I would gladly join another tour in the future.
A slightly reluctant 5-star rating as a gesture of support and encouragement.r
