An absolutely perfect safari with incredible value.
I saw a leopard that had just finished its lunch, with blood still on its fur.
I saw a handsome lion up close.
I saw an elephant that got angry because we were talking and disturbed it.
I saw us having a meal in the car because Serengeti was too vast to find a dining spot.
And I saw the hyenas I’d been most eager to see.
Africa is truly amazing — a place where humans and nature coexist in harmony.
I’m so grateful to my friend who went through so many travel agencies and finally picked this one — the value for money is incredible! We had great accommodation every day and enjoyed every meal!
I also want to give a huge shout-out to our guide, Gilbert. He’s extremely professional, responsive, and wholehearted — like a walking encyclopedia, always explaining things to us. I learned so much! And thanks to him, we managed to spot the Big Five all in one trip — hahaha! He’s truly sharp-eyed and amazing at tracking animals. Absolutely impressive!

From the moment we were greeted by our phenomenal guide Tom, we knew we were in the best hands. Tom, the greatest host in all of Tanzania, was not only deeply knowledgeable about the land, wildlife, and culture, but also warm, attentive, and incredibly passionate. His presence made us feel safe, welcome, and completely at ease throughout the entire journey.
Our itinerary took us through the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, the legendary Serengeti, and the beautiful Tarangire National Park—each destination more stunning and awe-inspiring than the last. The accommodations were authentic yet comfortable, and each meal—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—was delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, even in the middle of the wild. Lion Paw’s attention to detail and organization was impeccable, allowing us to fully relax and immerse ourselves in the experience.
One of the most breathtaking moments was the sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, where we soared quietly above herds of wildlife as the golden light washed over the savannah—it was a surreal, peaceful, and exhilarating experience all at once.

Wow where do we even begin? Our experience with Lions Paw Tours and Safari was nothing short of magical, and it was made absolutely unforgettable by our phenomenal guide, Gilbert.
From the very start, Gilbert’s energy, knowledge, and passion for the wild made us feel like we were in the best hands imaginable. He didn't just drive us he brought the savannah to life! Thanks to his unmatched skills, we had front row views of ALL the Big Five, the lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo up close and personal, in their natural glory. Every sighting felt like a dream come true.
Gilbert didn’t just show us animals, he told us their stories, read the land like a book, and gave us memories we’ll carry for a lifetime. From beginning to end Tom made our trip seamless and unforgettable. The communication leading up to our safari was superb. We all knew what to expect and Tom took care of all our special requests, we changed lodges and he was so flexible throughout the process. Our safari was amazing every day was so exciting, we saw the big 5 plus some rare animals including a serval cat and 2 honey badgers. We cannot wait to go back and will book with Lions Paw tours again. Tom even took care of shipping back our souvenirs so we could enjoy our last day on safari. Thanks again for this unforgettable bucket list experience!
