Everything you could want from a safari experience!
We had an amazing first trip to Kruger with Wild Planet. Chris, our guide has a phenomenal ability to spot animals and birds, the honey badger and tiny Malachite kingfisher were particular highlights and we saw all the “big five” and “ugly five” over the five days. Hope our chef cooked amazing meals, braai were a particular favourite and his cheerful helpful manner also made our whole safari experience very special. We would like to add how helpful Thale was in dealing with our pre trip queries. Overall the experience surpassed all our expectations thanks to Chris, Hope and the team and we would highly recommend Wild Planet to anyone seeking a full safari experience.

The Best Experience of our Honeymoon!
Our safari with Wild Planet Safari was truly the highlight of our entire honeymoon and an experience we will cherish forever.
From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, reliable, and seamless, which allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and magic of the moment. What made it even more special was our incredible team. Eric, our guide, was outstanding. His passion, knowledge, and eye for spotting wildlife made every single drive exciting and unforgettable. Hope, our cook, completed the experience in the most wonderful way. Every meal was prepared with so much care and was absolutely delicious, something we looked forward to every day.
There were so many emotional moments, from breathtaking encounters with animals to the quiet, awe inspiring landscapes that made us pause and truly take everything in. It felt intimate, authentic, and incredibly special, even more than we could have ever imagined.

Tangible intangible
Exceptional tour with Ryan and Thale who we met in the Galapagos at Xmas. It was singularly their passion for Africa that brought us there but little did we know that they would be our guides. We learnt so much and it was worth every single penny. The knowledge that they passionately and enthusiastically passed on to us was truly inspiring. There is no wonder to us that this company is so highly recommended. We are sending many friends their way for sure!

Lovely Kruger
We had a great time in Kruger. 10 days. Full on. 430am starts. Eric & KG were out guides who were really great and we got on so well. We enjoyed shared meals, cooked beautifully by KG. The camps were very comfortable with air conditioned rooms etc. We saw lots of lions, a leopard, wild dogs, rhino, plus almost every day zebra, giraffe, hippo, wildebeest, ostrich and various antelope. I am interested in birds and there were plenty to see, all expertly pointed out by Eric.
The only downside was this trip was to target cheetah, and we never saw one. My research of the "best" areas to see cheetah found other camps that we did not visit, which left us a little disappointed, as we'd stated we really wanted to try and see one. But, we can't complain too much. We had a lovely time and I'd highly recommend it.

Amazing Kruger Safari!
This was an amazing trip and extremely worth it! My now finacé (he proposed on the trip!!) and I booked the private 9 day Kruger Sarafi with camping accommodations for Dec 27, 2025 to Jan 4, 2026. Thale was extremely helpful in booking the perfect trip and helped make it unique for us! She helped us book a bird hide for one night, scheduled us both a morning bush walk and a night tour run through the park. Chris was our actual tour guide and he was extremely knowledgable about all the mammals. He worked really hard to get us our target animals as well as all the normal big targets. We were able to see lots of wild dogs, the Big 5 multiple times, the Ugly 5 multiple times, jackals, and some many different bird species. My finacé is a big birder and he wishes we were able to stop more for some of the smaller birds. However, we were still able to see so many birds and when we would ask Chris would stop or backup so that we could get better looks at the bird.
The camping accommodations were spacious and very comfortable. Chris and his assistant would break and teardown the camp for us with us only responsible for packing our personal items. If it rained they were really quick to help us put on the rain fly and seal up the tent to keep us dry. All the campgrounds (minus the bird hide) had electricity, running water, and they provided us with a fan. On top of that the food was delicious! Everything they made and provided was delicious and very accommodating to us being vegetarians!
I can not recommend this place enough!

custom Safari for 7 days, beyond expectations!
We are a family of 4 and wanted to go for a safari in South Africa. I wrote to a few safari tour organizers and Thale was the one who responded with a personalized note. We followed up with her and she organized a customized trip for our family at a very decent price. She sent us all the info we needed to get ready for our experience.
2 guides came to pick us up at the airport and we spend 7 days together. They were just amazing people: professional, kind, funny, knowledgeable. They did everything they could and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience. We saw plenty of animals! We are still talking about the amazing chicken curry they cooked for us. Pictures from our trip are covering the walls of our house. We all have beautiful memories. It was beyond expectations.

Perfect safari experience
At the beginning of November, we went on a three-day private safari with overnight stays at Skukuza Camp in Kruger National Park. The entire organisation and handling with Thale in advance was perfect, and we also received tips on how best to continue our journey in South Africa after the safari.
We received an absolutely all-inclusive package. A transfer service in Johannesburg took us from the airport to Hazyview. There we met our guide Eric and the cook Keygi. We liked them both right from the start and they made us feel that we didn't have to worry or take care of anything. And that's exactly how the next few days went. We were treated to incredibly delicious food and saw fantastic wildlife in the park. Eric has been doing this for almost 20 years and was able to answer all our questions. We saw the Big Five within 1.5 days and much more.
Wild Planet Safari offers an unforgettable experience with its all-inclusive service (transfer, accommodation, game drives and shared meals). We were able to concentrate fully on the animals and nature as we didn't have to worry about anything else. We can only recommend everyone to book a private safari here.
If we ever get the chance to visit this beautiful place again, we will definitely book with Wild Planet Safari again.

It was perfect!
We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. But we will come back, and in the meantime, we will recommend Wild Planet Safari (with Eric) to all our friends. Thank you so much for this incredible experience, Eric. We are glad to have met you.
