Great 9-day safari with excellent guides, great lodging, and smooth organization throughout.
We had a wonderful 9-day safari organized by Moran Discoveries & Tours in November, covering Nairobi, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara in Kenya, and Serengeti and Ngorongoro in Tanzania. The itinerary was a well-designed mid-range option for our group of four (two couples), offering a good balance between comfort and adventure.
From the start, Moses was very knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive — even before the trip began. Our game drivers in both Kenya and Tanzania were very skilled and experienced, and thanks to them we saw a wide range of animals, including the Big Five.
The accommodations throughout the journey were spot-on: comfortable, high-quality lodges and camps. The food was good as well. Everything was organized smoothly, so we didn’t have to worry about any logistics. Even during a challenging moment with unrest in Tanzania after the elections, Moses stayed with us and made sure we felt safe throughout the journey.
Overall, this was a memorable experience. We compared many offers beforehand, and Moran Discoveries & Tours offered a good ratio of price to quality.

Experience of a lifetime…
My husband and I have had the pleasure of using Moran Discoveries and Tours multiple times over a number of visits to Kenya. We find that Moses and his team are always responsive, knowledgable and extremely helpful. They give equal attention and care to clients on budget tours as to those looking at more luxurious options. They always accommodate our needs, and even anticipate many of them. Because of our ages (I am in my late 70s), we occasionally have health or mobility concerns, and they are always compassionate and thoughtful in regard to those concerns. Their dedication to providing the best, fullest experience possible is unparalleled. To say that we highly recommend them is an understatement…they are, very simply, the BEST!
And we look forward to seeing them and using their services when we again travel in Kenya this coming summer, 2026.

Life Time Experience 💕✨🦒
The tour was organized really well, Mose and Richard did their best so I could enjoy every single moment of my 3 day trip to Maasai Mara. Wonderful game drives ended up with seeing everything: big 5 + cheetahs and lots of giraffes , so close that I could almost pet them. Richard himself is from Maasai village, so he knows a lot about wildlife and local culture, I visited Maasai village, which I think is must do if you want to embrace all the culture and local atmosphere. also had a half day game drive in to Nairobi national park and got lucky to see Rhinos there.

He did his job very well. However, could have been a bit more interactive and cheerful.
The trip was well organized. On the two-day safari we managed to see 4 out of the big five except for the rhino. The camp we stayed in was very comfortable and the food was good. I would, however, recommend bringing your own snacks, as lunch was around 3 PM while breakfast was at 5:30 AM.

The tour operator was reliable and kept us updated at every step
The 2-day safari was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Within only a 4-hour game drive, we were fortunate enough to spot both a lion and a leopard — an absolute highlight of the trip. On top of that, we saw plenty of other animals. The organization was good, we were kept updated about the schedule and travel arrangements. This safari exceeded my expectations and despite of its high cost I would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable adventure in the wild.

Maasai Mara game drive
Moses was incredibly professional, honest, and kind a true expert in planning and coordination. Andrew, our driver and guide, was the best driver we could’ve asked for! Thanks to his sharp eyes and deep understanding of the wild, we were lucky to witness all of the Big Five and even saw the breathtaking river crossing of migrating zebras and gnus. The entire trip was handled with care, patience, and warmth. We recommend them with all our hearts, unforgettable memories for a single mum with two teenage sons!
