Masai Mara Safari Dream Finally Comes True
While researching various safari options, Jastro Safaris caught my eye. It sounded great. As a Kenyan (local) tourist, I was looking for a company that not only offers good packages but also provides reliable and professional service. So I first contacted them on the phone call. Then, to be more confident, I went directly to their office to meet the team, discussed the details and after checking everything, I booked a Masai Mara safari. I was impressed by the warm atmosphere, transparency and professional behavior of the office. I had always wanted to do a game drive in Masai Mara and finally, with the help of Jastro Safaris Limited, that dream came true.
The main purpose of a holiday is to be worry-free, because everything is planned as perfectly as possible and there is a mindset to fix it immediately if needed. Choose Jastro Safaris! My Masai Mara trip was exactly that, planned and executed without any hassle. They were incredibly well organized, knowledgeable and responsive throughout the entire process. I first described my ideal trip in a short phone call with Sylus and he planned a perfect trip that exceeded all my expectations.
There are so many positive things to say about them - informative, willing, respectful, responsive, helpful, caring and compassionate, to name a few. I will say it was an incredibly beautiful trip.
I would choose a different safari provider.
The Kenyan portion of our trip was well organised, and our guide, James, was excellent. However, unfortunately our overall experience with Jastro was disappointing. The travel times between the national parks were significantly underestimated, which caused major issues during the final few days of our itinerary.
We had to point out that the planned schedule for the last couple of days was simply impossible due to the underestimated travel times (Jastro had not noticed this themselves). As a result, we missed a game drive and a morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, which was one of the main reasons we booked the trip. Despite this, Jastro did not provide any compensation.
Whilst the trip was still memorable and enjoyable, the reason for this was seeing all of the animals, and we feel this would be similar with whichever provider you used. Based on our experience, we would recommend choosing a different provider.
Magical and Amazing experience
This trip was one of the best I ever experienced. Our driver Moises always was keeping the hope to find the big 5’s even was not migration season, and his knowledge about the animal behavior make the experience much better.
Also my travel agent Sylus was very patient, and supportive to help me to arrange all the experience that fit to my expectations.

Outstanding 5-Day Safari with Jastro Safari
We had an absolutely exceptional 5-day safari with Jastro Safari. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Steeve was an outstanding guide — knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive, he truly made the experience unforgettable.
The lodges were amazing, very comfortable and perfectly chosen, and the overall organization was flawless. We couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience. Highly recommended!

Local game driver who is filled with knowledge and very friendly.
Having David as my personal tour guide and game driver meant he could tailor the experiences to me. I enjoyed early morning and late afternoon game drives with middle of the day free to enjoy time at the camp. David found every animal and was able to find the best views to photograph. His knowledge and friendly manner made it easy to be in his company for almost a week. Highly recommended!

This was a miraculous journey. I had an excellent guide, Mr. James, and we saw almost all the animals. The hotel was cheap yet beautiful; I spent very little money but gained a great deal of joy. My local guide was a person who took full responsibility for my safety—he not only gave me plenty of advice and solved numerous problems, but also sent me to the hotel and even gave me a small gift. Everything was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this travel agency that gave me such a wonderful seven-day experience, and I am extremely glad to have chosen it.

Four Nights … Big Five - David Sasine
I’ll say it again in case you missed it in the title: four nights… Big Five… and five leopards - three adults and two cubs.
This trip was unreal.
From the moment David picked us up from our hotel for my partner’s 30th-birthday safari, it was obvious we were with someone exceptional; patient, warm, and genuinely invested in making the experience unforgettable.
The drive from Nairobi to the Mara set the tone. Smooth, calm, and just the right amount of information. David somehow knows exactly when to share something fascinating and when to let you sit back and enjoy the landscape. It’s a balance most guides don’t get right. He nails it effortlessly.
Every single morning, he showed up ready to go, fully committed to helping us track down the more elusive animals. His energy never dipped. Ours didn’t either and it worked. Over four nights, we saw it all: lions, buffalo, elephants, both kinds of rhinos… and then the leopards. Not one, not two, FIVE, including two tiny cubs. Yes, luck played a part, but there’s also something to be said about being with a guide whose instincts are that sharp.
We made a few adjustments to our itinerary, and David didn’t just accommodate he elevated. Every alternative he suggested ended up being the right call. He even helped me organize a birthday surprise in a Maasai village, which turned into one of the most authentic cultural moments of the entire trip.
We arrived with David as our guide and left with him as a friend. There’s no question: we’re coming back to Kenya!

Our safari with David Sasine was truly unforgettable.
From the moment we met him, it was clear that he is deeply passionate—not only about the wildlife, but about the entire experience of guiding. He went above and beyond every single day to make sure our trip was extraordinary. David was incredibly attentive, always anticipating what we might need, and constantly ensuring that we were comfortable, informed, and having the best possible time.
His passion for the animals and the land is contagious. He was just as excited as we were, (sometimes even more!) about every sighting, especially when it came to the Big Five.
Thanks to his dedication, deep knowledge, and unbelievable eye, we were able to see all of them. It genuinely felt like he was sharing in our joy every step of the way.
This trip was a milestone birthday for me, and David made it feel so special. He took the time to get to know us, to share his culture and stories, and to make every moment feel personal and meaningful.
His communication was exceptional—always clear, always thoughtful, and always responsive. He was punctual every day, incredibly patient with our questions and any changes we needed to make, and always focused on finding the best solution to keep the experience seamless.
David is not just a phenomenal guide…he is a truly great person. We feel so lucky to have had him lead our safari, and we would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Thomas was unbelievable. We also seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
Everything was planned to a tee. Thomas couldn’t have been more knowledge or enthusiastic, we had a great laugh with him. We saw some unbelievable stuff, elephants charging hippos, rhinos charging eachother, lions eating and a leopard up close. Thomas seemed to just know where to go to find everything
