I came to Paul at Abroad to Tanzania knowing only that I wanted to go on safari in Tanzania and Kenya with my family (wife, 10yo son). He quickly got back to me with excellent information and itinerary recommendations, and together we shaped the trip into precisely what I was hoping for. A few weeks before go-time, there was a possibility that I wouldn't be able to to enter Tanzania; I communicated this to Paul, and he assured me that he would develop an outstanding alternate Kenya-only itinerary in the event such a change was necessary. We ultimately got all our paperwork in order and conducted our originally-planned safari, but it was such a relief knowing that Paul & his team we so capable of communicating effectively and responding to changing conditions as necessary. This is probably the SECOND best thing about Abroad to Tanzania.
The BEST thing about Abroad to Tanzania was the quality of service provided by the guides. We had one guide for the Kenya-based part of our itinerary and another for the Tanzania-based share.
*We were only with PETER (Kenya side) for about 24 hours, but he performed admirably during two game drives in Amboseli and set the tone for a very exciting safari experience where all we had to worry about was spotting the animals. He knew the park like the back of his hand, which helped us maximize the time we could spend inside while still being on time for our border crossing & hand-off to the Tanzania team. 10/10 for Peter!
*Peter really earned a 10/10; I would have been thrilled having him with us the entire time. This is important to emphasize, because our next guide, GADIEL, was even better! Like, if there were a safari video game where you could create the perfect guide for our family group, we would have designed a guide exactly like GADIEL. He grew up in Dar and has been in the safari game for at least seven years. He's late-20's which gives him an excellent balance of youthful energy (important for long, long days exploring the massive Serengeti) and experience-based wisdom (I happened to ask how many times he's taken guests into Ngorongoro, and his answer was something like 150-200 times). He's got an outstanding personality, superb command of English, and was willing to tirelessly help me work on my Kiswahili during our time together as well. My family and I did a decent amount of research before the trip, and it was very nice to notice that Gadiel never bs-ed his way through a question we'd ask him whilst in the park, either about the park itself or a particular animal- 95% of the time he provided a well-detailed answer that matched with what we'd read in advance and went beyond with even more interesting detail. The 5% of the time he was uncertain about an answer, he'd double-check specific figures/info in one of his guide books to ensure he was always relaying the truth to us; this was very reassuring for us. When my wife and I decided we wanted to make a change to itinerary DURING the safari, Gadiel's guidance and support in both planning & execution was key to unlocking our most memorable day of the trip. I do a lot of planning myself in my profession, and his mind is well cut-out for considering a challenge from all angles and finding a way to achieve desired results. More than anything, though, it was just a pleasure for all three of us to chat with him either in the parks, en route to/from, or at dinner at the lodges. My son is not always comfortable with strangers, but he was treating Gadiel like another big brother halfway through our first day together! Gadiel receives a 12/10 rating.
Last note on the company: we had other things planned during our time in East Africa, and Paul knit everything together SEAMLESSLY from arrival to wheels-up on our last day. He's got an extensive network of reliable contacts all over the place, and everyone was where they needed up be, when they needed to be there. No issues on 15+ reservations between restaurants, lodges, hotels, transfers, flights; I'm truly impressed that we didn't run into a single hiccup on this trip.
What more can I say? I feel like I got the safari of a lifetime for my family for a price that I was in charge of. I would heartily recommend ABROAD TO TANZANIA to anyone who's looking for the same quality of experience. I have no doubt that Paul's other guides are all outstanding as well, but I would go out of my way to recommend Peter and especially Gadiel as well; they are where the rubber meets the road. Thanks again to Paul and his superb team!!!

My trip to Ngorongoro with Abroad to Tanzania Safaris was absolutely incredible! From the moment we started, everything was well-organized. Our guide Gaddi super knowledgeable and passionate, and he knew exactly where to find the animals. Seeing the variety of wildlife in the crater was a dream come true. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Abroad to Tanzania Safaris if you're planning a safari; they made the whole experience unforgettable

AMAZING, once in a lifetime opportunity.
This was the most incredible trip I have ever taken.
I cannot express how amazing this entire experience was. We embarked on a five day safari with Abroad to Tanzania Safaris and the trip exceeded our expectations. Credit must be given to our fabulous, knowledgeable, professional, fun, and kind guide named Gadiel (please request him!) This would not have been such a great experience without him.
From my initial inquiry with the owner, Paul Justine, we instantly felt like this was a positive company to work with. Paul responded with questions in a timely manner, and the prices/quotes were better than competitors. The schedule Paul custom created for our family of four (two adults and two children ages 10 and 7) was perfect. The safari locations were beautiful. Gadiel guided us daily to see close views of all the animals. We saw lions, zebras, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, gazelles, buffalos, elephants, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, various birds, and even rhinos. The list seemed endless! Gadiel found these animals with ease and without crowds of other tourists.
The accommodations were FANTASTIC. The staff at each location was incredibly friendly and happy to welcome us. Each day we were treated to a delicious breakfast buffet. In the afternoons, we were given lunch for our excursion (though retuning to the accommodation was also an option), and dinners were wonderful. We were pampered, to say the least.
If you are considering a safari in Tanzania, Abroad to Tanzania Safaris paired with Gadiel as your guide, will not disappoint. It will be the trip of your dreams.

We went on the six-day Kenya and Tanzania safari tour and we are so happy with our choice. As it was our honeymoon, they did their best to make our trip memorable.
Paul organised everything and was always available to help via WhatsApp. They picked us up from our hotel in Nairobi and dropped us off at Arusha Airport.
All the drivers were incredible and very friendly.
In Kenya, we had Keffa and Barb as our guides, who were the best ever!
In Tanzania, it was Elly who knew all the roads and parks so well.
The jeeps were very well equipped and comfortable.
All the hotels and meals exceeded our expectations.

Unforgettable Safari – Highly Recommended
This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everything went smoothly from the start. Communication with Paul, the owner, was easy and quick. He answered all our questions and helped us feel prepared before the trip.
Our guide, Gadriel, was amazing. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his job. He made every moment special and we always felt in great hands. We learned a lot and had so much fun thanks to him.
We did a 4-day safari and everything was excellent: the organisation, the lodges, the game drives, and of course, the incredible wildlife.
I wouldn’t change a thing. If you’re thinking about booking a safari, don’t hesitate. I’d recommend them without a doubt.

We did our safari in Tanzania with Abroad to Tanzania and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very first message, communication was easy and fast. Once in Tanzania, everything was smooth. The lodges, the timing, the routes – everything was well thought out. But what really made the trip special was Gadiel, our guide. Well-Organized and Memorable Safari!
We booked a combined Masai Mara and Serengeti tour with Abroad to Tanzania Safari in August 2024, and everything was handled smoothly from start to finish. They took care of all the hotel bookings and kept us well-informed with daily updates.
We had two different drivers—one in Kenya and one in Tanzania. Our Tanzanian driver, Walter, truly stood out! He went above and beyond to help us spot the Big Five and even got us a front-row view of the incredible Wildebeest river crossing. His dedication and expertise made the experience unforgettable.
Everyone we met was warm and welcoming, and without a doubt, I’d book with Tanzania Roadside again in the future!

Abroad to Tanzania was the best choice, great service, wonderful guides, excellent communication.
Our family (with two small children) spent a wonderful week in Kenya and Tanzania. Everything was perfectly prepared, the guides, both Keffa in Kenya and Gadial in Tanzania, were in one word amazing, they saw all the animals even from a really long distance, nothing was a problem, they solved everything with a smile. Gadial was the best driver far and wide :-) All the selected hotels were excellently equipped, some with wonderful views. We saw many animals and we all had a great holiday. I definitely highly recommend Abroad to Tanzania to everyone, and don't be afraid to go on safari with small children, they had a great time. Thank you very much again and we miss Africa already :-)

Unforgettable Safari
I cannot begin to express how amazing this company is and how incredible the guides are! We had Gadiel as our driver and guide through Tanzania and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide! His knowledge about the parks we visited was unbelievable. Our first day in Serengeti we saw over 25 lions (including a pride with around 10 little cubs) and more than 10 cheetahs (also seeing some very little cheetah cubs), we were also lucky enough to see 4 rhinos in the Ngorogoro crater! Even if we hadn’t seen any of these animals I would still be raving about the experience as we couldn’t have gotten a better guide than Gadiel. I also wanted to try and learn some Swahili and he was an incredible teacher and through his help I was able to actually communicate in Swahili to a degree I never thought would be possible for the limited amount of time we spent together. Overall I can’t recommend Abroad Tanzania enough and this was a life changing experience for me thanks to Gadiel!
