Then Tanzania opened itself to us.
The land was vast and humbling. Silent in some moments, overwhelming in others. Standing in the Serengeti, watching the horizon stretch endlessly while wildlife moved freely through it, was something no photo or video could ever prepare us for. Choosing Oldbeast Vacations turned our trip to Tanzania into something truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, well organized, and genuinely personal, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the journey ahead.
When we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport, a driver was already waiting for us and took us straight to our hotel in Arusha. There was no stress, no confusion, just a warm welcome and a smooth start to our adventure. Later that day, we were picked up again to explore Arusha and do some shopping, which was a wonderful way to ease into the country and its culture.
The next morning, our safari began, and from that point on, every day exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Hendry, was exceptional. His experience and deep knowledge of the wildlife, landscapes, and history of Tanzania made each drive fascinating. He explained animal behavior with clarity and passion, always making sure we understood what we were seeing and why it mattered. We felt completely safe with him at all times, and his calm, confident driving made even long distances comfortable.
Thanks to Hendry’s sharp eye and understanding of the parks, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five along with countless other animals in their natural habitat. Every sighting felt special and unhurried, giving us time to truly appreciate the moment rather than rushing from one stop to the next.
We chose a luxury safari, and every detail lived up to that promise. The accommodations were beautiful and well located, the food was consistently delicious, and the scenery was breathtaking at every stop. Packed lunches prepared by the hotels were excellent, and Hendry always made sure we stopped at clean and comfortable places during long drives, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

An Unforgettable Honeymoon Safari Beyond Our Dreams
We spent months searching, comparing, and dreaming about the perfect safari for our honeymoon, and choosing Oldbeast Vacations turned out to be one of the best decisions of our lives. Our adventure included an 8-day safari through Northern Tanzania starting from Arusha, followed by 6 blissful days in Zanzibar, and every single detail was handled seamlessly. Our guide, Samir, was nothing short of exceptional. With over 13 years of experience, his confidence, calm presence, and deep knowledge were evident from the very first day. He wasn’t just driving us through the parks, he was opening a window into the soul of Tanzania. He understood the animals, their behavior, the land, the culture, and the rhythm of the wilderness in a way that made every moment feel meaningful. He always positioned the vehicle perfectly, getting us incredibly close to wildlife and creating unforgettable views and photos. Long days in the jeep never felt tiring because we felt safe, comfortable, and completely in the best hands.
What truly stood out was how personal the experience was. It was just the two of us in the jeep, while we often saw other vehicles packed with six or seven people. That intimacy made everything more magical. It felt like the wilderness belonged only to us. Samir’s skill and experience were on a completely different level compared to what we observed from larger tour companies, and he made every day feel special.
And the wildlife, it was beyond anything we ever imagined. We saw everything. Leopards resting in trees, rhinos grazing peacefully, hippos submerged in rivers, cheetahs on the move, lions in their raw power, elephants crossing right in front of us, and endless herds of zebras stretching across the plains. There were moments when we simply sat in silence, overwhelmed with emotion, realizing we were witnessing something truly rare and beautiful.

A Wild Dream Come True in the Heart of Tanzania
I recently had the absolute pleasure of embarking on a four day safari adventure with Oldbeast Vacations, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. From the very beginning until the final goodbye, this journey exceeded every expectation I had. From the very reasonable price to the overall quality of the experience, everything was simply outstanding.
Our driver and guide, Max, was truly one of the highlights of the entire safari. He was an incredibly smooth and confident driver, but even more impressive was his deep knowledge of wildlife, nature, and the ecosystems we explored. Every game drive felt educational and exciting at the same time. His sense of humor kept our spirits high, and his passion for what he does made each day even more enjoyable.
The accommodations were nothing short of extraordinary. We stayed in truly unreal locations, surrounded by raw nature and wildlife. Being so close to elephants and buffaloes in their natural habitat was something I never imagined experiencing so intimately. At night, the sounds of the African wilderness filled the air, creating an atmosphere that was both thrilling and peaceful. Despite being so close to nature, we always felt completely safe and well taken care of.
The food was another unforgettable part of the journey. Every single meal was delicious and beautifully prepared, showcasing the best of Tanzanian flavors. A Childhood Dream Come True
As a child and teenager, I always dreamed of going on a safari, and I can honestly say that my expectations were more than exceeded.
One unforgettable part of the experience was the breathtaking nature. From Tarangire and Lake Manyara to the vast Serengeti and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, each place was incredibly diverse and beautiful. I have never felt so connected to nature and to our origins as I did on this journey.
Equally impressive was how well everything was organized by Oldbeast Vacations. Our organiser, Mwanne, made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guide, James, was simply the best guide you could wish for. A Perfect 10 Out of 10 Safari Adventure
Quite simply, this was the best experience of my life. From the moment we arrived in Arusha, everything was perfectly organized by Oldbeast Vacations. Our driver was waiting for us and took us to our hotel, which was simple but had everything we needed. Our organiser, Mwanne, ensured everything ran smoothly, and Daniel came to our hotel to brief us about the trip. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions clearly, which immediately put us at ease.
They arranged transport to the start of the safari, where we met our guide, Joshua.
Joshua was absolutely exceptional. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He knew exactly where to find the animals, and we managed to see almost everything on the very first day. His experience, calm driving, and passion for wildlife truly made the safari unforgettable.
Our cook, Fredy, was also outstanding. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and there was always plenty of it. We never went hungry, and every meal exceeded expectations.
The campsites were basic but perfectly fine. They were clean, well organized, and everything was set up for us in advance. The team consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of.
The safari vehicles were comfortable and spacious, even for someone my height at 6 foot 5. The pop-up roof allowed for incredible views and amazing wildlife sightings.
Overall, this was a genuine 10 out of 10 experience with a 10 out of 10 company. I could not recommend Oldbeast Vacations highly enough. If I ever return to Tanzania, I will absolutely book with them again.

A Truly Memorable Safari Experience
My fiancé and I went on a 5-day safari with Oldbeast Vacations, and Joshua was our guide. During these five days, we visited four national parks – Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Manyara – each unique in its own way. The tour was perfectly planned. Even when there were last-minute changes due to new people joining, Joshua handled everything so smoothly that it had no impact on our trip.
The jeep we rode in was very comfortable, which we greatly appreciated after hours on the road. We chose the mid-range lodge option, and all our accommodations were fantastic, with Suricata Boma Lodge standing out as our absolute favorite. Breaks were well-timed, and whenever we needed an extra pause, Joshua made sure we got it without slowing down the adventure.
The meals were another highlight. We were accompanied by a chef who prepared lunches for us, mostly local dishes full of fresh vegetables – so vegetarians don’t have to worry! Every meal was delicious and a true taste of Tanzania.
Above all, we want to thank Joshua. He made our trip the experience of a lifetime. His deep knowledge of wildlife, flora and fauna, and Tanzanian customs enriched every moment. He is a skilled and careful driver, expertly navigating bumpy roads among wild animals. On top of that, he’s a genuinely wonderful person, with a sophisticated sense of humor that we all loved, and he treated us like friends rather than just tourists.
Thanks to Joshua, we saw the Big 5 and even the “Ugly 5”! I feel like a 12-year-old coming back from the best summer camp, and I will truly miss this experience.
