Unforgettable Tanzania Tour in August 2025
Our trip through Tanzania was simply fantastic! We received a warm welcome and excellent service right from the start at Kilimanjaro Airport. Our adventure began in Arusha with exciting excursions into the surrounding area, before continuing to Tarangire National Park, through the Serengeti, and on to Lake Manyara. Mkomazi National Park was another highlight.
A huge thank you goes to Daniel, our driver and guide. He accompanied us the entire time and was friendly, reliable, and incredibly patient. Thanks to his knowledge and dedication, we were able to experience Tanzania's impressive wildlife up close, including the River Crossing! His warm personality made the trip even more personal and unforgettable. Everything was perfectly organized as well: The accommodations were superbly chosen, the food was delicious, fresh, and often sustainably prepared – the lovingly prepared lunches along the way were a real treat and regularly drew admiring glances at the picnic areas. William Laizer planned and organized this trip for us. We stayed in regular contact by phone and were also able to meet him in Arusha and the Serengeti, which was always wonderful. All in all, it was a thoroughly successful and superbly organized trip.
A huge thank you to Pumba Reisen for the fantastic organization – and of course to Daniel, who introduced us to Tanzania in such a wonderful way. Perhaps we'll manage to travel to Tanzania again sometime – there's still so much to discover there. Conclusion: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) – Perfect service, fantastic experiences, unforgettable impressions!

Helpful and welcoming
Careen helped arrange everything from start to finish. I asked a lot of questions and she was always responsive and helpful. We, as a family, are so glad we booked with pumba reisen. Daniel, our guide, was always on hand and great and tracking down the animals. We saw some amazing sights during our trip and everything went perfectly.

Incredible once in a lifetime experience
Incredible experience of a Serengeti /Ngorongoro safari. Careen shared lots of information ahead of our journey and was excellent at keeping in touch. Our excellent guide, Daniel, was knowledgeable and we saw all the big 5 on our trip. We watched cheetah hunt pumba, lions mating, hyenas stalk a lion with its kill. We saw 2 leopards, a pride of over 50 lions, elephants, hippos, thousands of wildebeast and zepra and more. The accommodation Pumba Reisen arranged was excellent. The food was superb, with hot cooked meals for lunch every day, rather than cold sandwiches. They even provided us with a bottle of red wine! The service throughout was exceptional.
The jeep they used was relatively new, very comfortable and stylish! So many cup and binocular holders. Very practical.
Our trip was during the riots. We had no Internet and were uncertain whether we would be able to fly. Daniel reassured us daily and Careen had arranged a further night in a hotel in Arusha in case we needed it. Thankfully we didn't and we made it safely and on time to our flight onwards to Zanzibar.
I couldn't recommend these highly enough. The price was competitive and service second to none.

Completely in good hands
As part of my trip planning, I contacted 16 travel agencies. I had a very specific idea for our group. As crazy as it sounds, this was my fifth trip to Tanzania and my fifth ascent of Kilimanjaro. Therefore I knew exactly what we wanted. After all the agencies had submitted quotes and after writing many emails to clarify all outstanding questions, only three of the agencies remained on our short list. Pumba Reisen was one of them. While William's quote wasn't the cheapest of the three, he was 100% committed to implementing our ideas and that’s why I chose him. There was no "That's not possible!", no "We don't offer that!” and no "That will cost hundreds of euros more!" to our planning inquiries. Instead, the answer was: "We'll look at all the ideas together and see what we can implement." And it worked. We were already satisfied before we arrived.
During the trip itself, we also felt the attention to detail and the outstanding service and felt completely in good hands. We had a fantastic team on the Kilimanjaro Mountain, an exciting safari and excellent accommodations at all stops.
And we were not the only ones having a great time. We had the impression that William also took good care of his team on site and that it was very pleasant to work with him. That was very important to us.
For my sixth trip to Tanzania, I will be once again trusting William and his agency, Pumba Reisen. I'm really looking forward to it! This is the first time I've chosen the same agency twice. I was and still am very impressed.

Perfect organisation, empathetic staff.
We felt priviledhed to fulfill two family dreams in one journey. Safari in the Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and - even overnight - in the Serengeti was a splendid adventure with lots of animals and the Big Five. Absolutely untoppable was the hiking and climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro on a 8-day-tour. Our team was the most attentive and friendly team one can wish for. Nature is overwhelming and standing on top at su rise was one of the great moments in life. Even now, 2 years later, we still enjoy looking at our pictures and getting strength from the experience.

wonderful time in Tanzania
Pumba Reisen created a customized itinerary for our safari (a round trip to four national parks + a swim at a beautiful, uncrowded spring) and then arranged everything we needed for a relaxing vacation in Zanzibar.
He took our preferred hotel into account, and everything went smoothly.
We were able to contact him at any time if we had any questions.
The safari was extremely well organized; the travel and the various accommodations were truly a great adventure.
It gave us the opportunity to get to know the country and its people better.

Great Adventure

William Laizer is a very open- hearted and very well organized tanzania expert
The organization of our hike on the Lemosho Route to Uhuru Peak was simply fantastic from start to finish!
All the guides, porters, cooks, and Willi himself are very friendly and make sure you don't miss anything every day.
At every meal, there's an abundance of delicious food, including soups, meat, fried foods, salads, and fruit. And that's true from the first to the last camp.
Kudos to all the porters and guides, who even wake you up with coffee or tea and always pay attention to your health and well-being!
They monitor your blood oxygen levels as well as all the symptoms and well-being typical of high altitude.
We even had a lot of fun on the way there and back. We saw giraffes and zebras, and Willi constantly informed us about Tanzania's landscape, culture, and wildlife.
For all of us, the Kilimanjaro hike was an unforgettable highlight!
