Great value experience
5/5

8-day, 7-night safari during the 2026 calving season. The Toyota Land Cruiser was in excellent condition, with comfortable cushioned seats, unlimited bottled water and drinks, and we opted for a hot lunch – every meal was delicious. Most fortunately, our guide was Radar Joseph, once named the best guide by a Tanzanian travel guide! He was sincere, meticulous, and cheerful, possessing extensive wildlife knowledge and radar-like search abilities, and an intimate knowledge of Tanzania's national parks. I once asked Joseph, "How do you know every road in the vast Serengeti?" He replied, "Reference points + 13 years of experience." My teammates love birdwatching, and Joseph possessed incredibly rich bird knowledge. When we apologized to Joseph for the frequent stops for bird photography, he always said, "Hakuna matata – that's what you came for!" Joseph was exceptionally skilled at tracking animals. In the Gol Koppies area of southeastern Serengeti, a cheetah mother with her two cubs jumped onto our SUV! The vast Serengeti plains, only one SUV, three cheetahs! This was a highlight of our Tanzanian Safari! Besides his extensive professional knowledge, Joseph also paid exceptional attention to detail. For example, he carefully covered our suitcases with cotton sheets; thoughtfully parked the best spots for us; and after our Serengeti game drive, our car was always spotless the next day, even though it was covered in mud. When there was no water to wash at the campsite, he wiped it clean with cloths. He even thoughtfully gave the extra beef and other hot food from lunch to the sanitation workers. Joseph, a highly skilled and caring gold-medal guide, provided our family with an outstanding Safari experience. Thank you Lappet Faced Safari, thank you Joseph!

Beyond reliable.
5/5

On the same itinerary, with the addition of a Tarangire night safari and upgraded hotels, this travel agency's quote was $1,000 cheaper than others. The pricing was completely transparent—just a 30% deposit before departure with no unreasonable contract terms. It was my first time traveling without doing any research, yet I was taken care of from the moment I left the airport until my return. Saw plenty of wildlife on the savanna and completed the Big Five, though the rain was a bit disappointing as I didn't get to see many baby animals. Looking forward to my next Tanzania trip—I'll definitely choose you again.

They are a group of professional, reliable and trustworthy people.

After a comparison that lasted for two months, I chose Lappet faced safaris from among 8 local tour agencies. The main reasons are as follows:
1. Prices are transparent and open.I conducted a search on the internet and after verification, all the information was correct. There was no false reporting of prices.
2. The planning of the travel route is very scientific. Taking a small plane from the central Serengeti to Zanzibar is an excellent choice. No waste of time.
3. Based on my budget, select an accommodation for me.After my experience, I was very satisfied with all these hotels. They are a very cost-effective choice.
4. They have professional guides. The guide Mmary, he took into account everything for me. While showing me many animals and their behaviors, he also avoided risks and ensured our safety.
5. Throughout the entire process of travel, including the early, middle and final stages, Lappet provide comprehensive care for us.

exciting and unforgetable
5/5

We selected this local ground handler in June. Compared with other travel agencies, they provided excellent itinerary planning and recommendations, rather than just suggesting different hotels. A well - arranged itinerary should be the top priority for a safari trip, as it allows travelers to see more kinds of animals.
For this trip, we chose an all - grassland itinerary: Arusha - Tarangire - Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti - Central Serengeti - Ngorongoro - Moshi. During the journey, we saw countless elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes. We also spotted dozens of lions, encountered cheetahs twice, and witnessed the spectacular scene of wildebeests crossing the river.
Our guide had extensive experience and skillful driving techniques, which even made the "African Massage" (a colloquial term referring to the bumpy ride on unpaved grassland roads, often humorously called "African Massage" by travelers) an interesting part of the trip.

Unforgettable journey, life memories
5/5

Over National Day, seven of my friends and I went on a tour of Tanzania. Before the trip, we compared numerous well-reviewed tour operators, sending quotes from about ten. Lappet Face Safari was the most responsive and offered WeChat communication, which was very convenient. Having been in business for eight years and having no negative reviews, I was convinced this was the right choice. Raymond, our contact person, was always responsive and able to adjust our itinerary to my specific needs. He also communicated with me very attentively before the trip. The car was in excellent condition, the hotel we stayed at was unique, and the food was delicious. Our guides, Roma and Gaodi, were both experienced and attentive throughout the safari. They prioritized our safety and well-being, always making decisions based on our consultation. Both guides were extremely knowledgeable about animals and drove smoothly and safely. We saw lions, cheetahs, and leopards, and were lucky enough to see three "Sky River Crossings." We all had a blast and had a wonderful holiday!

A reliable, stable, and responsible tour operator.
5/5

I booked my safari with this company back in May. I compared them with other tour operators, and the owner, Francisco, was my main point of contact. Before the trip, what stood out to me was his professionalism and prompt responses. Even when I frequently changed hotel preferences, he always provided updated quotes and reasonable suggestions in a timely manner.

During the trip, all the accommodations were as expected, with no last-minute changes. The vehicle was in good condition, and our guide cleaned it daily. It had air conditioning and charging ports, which was very convenient.

Our guide was slightly older but very experienced. He shared extensive knowledge about geography, culture, and wildlife, and was highly proactive in tracking animals. On the day we were looking for black rhinos, for instance, hardly any other vehicles spotted them, but our guide drove us around extensively until we finally succeeded—helping us complete the Big Five! That said, perhaps due to his personality and age, he came across as a bit more serious compared to some of the younger guides. Shyer travelers might find him a little reserved.

Overall, the safari was excellent. Everything went as smoothly as planned, with no unexpected issues—I even overheard people from other vehicles mentioning problems like vehicle breakdowns, getting lost, or even accidents. I highly recommend Lappet-faced!

By the way, I learned from our guide that the company is named after a vulture commonly found in Africa. We spotted many of them out on the plains.
