Amazing and best experience with Shafik Topkins
We had the best experience with Wild Uganda Shafik Topkins and Mathias were our group drivers and travelled with us to different cities and took care of our belongings and rearranged some of the program to make the trip easier on us so we can relax and chill in between our program and activities. They were going above and beyond to make sure everyone is doing well, comfortable and having fun ❤️🙏 Thanks to them and we will always recommend Wild Uganda to all our friends.

Exceptional guides, flawless planning, unforgettable experiences.
We had an absolutely wonderful trip to Rwanda and Uganda with Wild Uganda.
From the very beginning, everything was organized at the highest level. Despite being experienced African travelers, the team managed to create a perfectly tailored itinerary for us in just one day. Every detail was taken care of - from excellent lodges to a comfortable and well-balanced program that allowed us to enjoy the destinations without feeling rushed.
This journey would not have been the same without our guide, Linus. From start to finish, he was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making our experience special. He always tried to secure the best possible conditions for us during activities, listened carefully to our preferences, and adapted the trip accordingly.
We especially appreciated his great sense of humor and the fascinating insights he shared about local culture, traditions, and daily life. By the end of the week, Linus truly felt like a member of our family.
He also personally guided our game drives, and when we jokingly mentioned that it would be amazing to see a leopard, he somehow made the impossible happen. Thanks to him, we had our very first leopard sighting in the wild - a moment we will never forget.
We highly recommend Wild Uganda to anyone looking for a seamless, professional, and memorable East African adventure. Thank you for creating such a special experience for us!
Guide Derrick Wadria made the trip perfect
I traveled for 10 days mostly through Uganda, finishing in Rwanda by myself with Derrick my driver/guide. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for me & really made the trip 5 stars, request him if you can!
The accommodation along the way was great, the meals huge & my two favorite activities were Murchison Falls (at the top) & Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, both must dos in my humble opinion. Everyone else I really enjoyed too but they were the stand outs.
There is a lot of driving & the roads can be rough so be prepared for that.
I had 100% confidence in Derrick’s driving & he fixed the truck a couple times himself so he’s the perfect driver to have in so many ways!
Outstanding
We have recently finished seven days visiting the gorillas & golden monkeys in the Kisoro area of Uganda. The whole trip met our needs perfectly. I struggle to think of anything that Ernest at Wild Uganda or our fantastic driver Kasim could have done to have improved it. Ernest was flexible in terms of what we wanted to see and do. Kasim was punctual, attentive, good company and an excellent driver on some pretty appalling roads. I have already recommended Wild Uganda to a good friend and would do so to others without hesitation

Great private tour
I had a very good experience with Wild Uganda overall. Communication before the tour was fast and smooth, which made planning easy and stress-free. The tour itself was also very flexible and could be easily adapted to our personal needs and preferences, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The safari vehicle was comfortable and in great condition, and our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. Gorilla trekking and seeing the tree-climbing lions were definitely the highlights of the safari.
This was my fifth safari trip in Africa, and I still found the experience highly enjoyable and well-organized.
The only area for improvement would be the communication during the tour itself, which could have been a bit clearer at times regarding schedules and plans. Nevertheless, the overall experience was excellent, and I would still recommend Wild Uganda to anyone planning a safari in Uganda.

10 days itinerary between Rwanda and Uganda
We booked with Wild Uganda our 10 days trip between Rwanda and Uganda and it was exceptional!
Overall it was an incredible experience, definitely worth the money ie we would have not thought you were getting so many boat trips, game drives and amazing lodges even on a mid budget. Would definitely recommend to travel during rainy season everything is green and the rain goes away very quickly while temperatures are still bearable. We barely got rain during our trip in April 2026.
We are really thankful to Brian - our guide - as he is very knowledgeable and could always help us spot great animals as well as being very easy to hang around.
Would absolutely recommend to book a trip with Wild Uganda and Brian as they really gave us the best deal!
Full itinerary below:
We started off in Kigali where Brian picked us up at the hotel and showed us the city - including the Market - before moving to the Volcano National Park and see Golden Monkeys (c. 1h easy flatish hike 1800 m above see level)
After that we moved to Uganda and went to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where we stayed at Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge (highly recommended lodge with a unique view on the national park). The following day we met the gorillas after a 1h hike, just above 5 km in total and easier than expected as all gorilla families were quite close the base camp that day. After meeting these incredible animals we drove to Lake Bunyonyi - really cool go with the boat around the lake and get to know the local history. Here you could also teach kids how to swim as most can’t swim and swimmers are very welcome to spend a day with the kids! We stayed on an island at Itambira Island, Seeds of Hope (another extremely nice stay organised by Wild Uganda !!). The following day we move to Queen Elisabeth NP where we immediately did a game drive in the safari and thanks to Brian skills we saw our first Leopards. During the night elephants came in from of our lodge which felt it very special! We spent another day doing game drives, boat tours and managed to see the big 4 (no rhinos yet). Following day we went to see chimps (easy hike, c. 2h total 4k) , which got very close to us after more than 1h waiting and looking at them on the trees. Following day was a transition day where we managed to meet a coffee master which made coffee with us and a meal with a beautiful landscape (pic) and stayed at Irungu Forest Safari Lodge for the night (insane view of the valley).
We then arrived at Murchison Fall NP, saw the falls, more boat tours, did 3 game drives saw more leopards, 5 lions and lot of giraffes.
We kept rolling and ended up at the Rhino sanctuary were saw the last of the big 5 :)
They also got very close to our lodge and one fell asleep 10 meets from it (!). We also saw 20 zebras (c. 90% of the zebras in this park). The day after we went to Lake Victoria and tried to see if we could find the shoebill - unfortunately for us it kept flying every time we were getting close to it but still managed to get beautiful pictures of it!
Note, we travelled as a family of 5 (4 swedish and 1 Italian)
Fell free to contact us if you want more info about our trip

From Nile falls to Gorilla encounters: Uganda has it all!
Our journey through Uganda was one we will never forget. We traveled as a Dutch family with three children (17, 18, and 20) and did the 11-day safari. Uganda turned out to be a perfect destination for all of us.
For those going on safari for the first time, the Serengeti in Tanzania may still be the most obvious choice due to the huge numbers of wildlife and the famous migrations. But for those who have already experienced a safari, Uganda offers an unmatched diversity that makes traveling to this country so special.
From day one, we were immersed in a varied program that kept surprising us. We explored Lake Victoria, admired the impressive waterfalls of the Nile, and went on both jeep-, boat- and walking safaris, where we literally walked among rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and warthogs. On Lake Victoria, we searched for the prehistoric shoebill stork. Along the banks of the Nile, we saw countless hippos and crocodiles while elephants came to drink and during this boat safari we were taken to the immense Nile waterfalls, an unforgettable and breathtaking sight. The rich birdlife made a impression on us every single day.
During our visit to Murchison Falls National Park, where nature and wildlife come together beautifully, we saw the big five. Further south, we ventured into the rainforest for chimpanzee tracking and visited local coffee farmers and a vanilla plantation, where we learned more about the production process. We stayed in beautiful lodges, often built from wood with thatched roofs, idyllically located in the heart of nature. The service everywhere was excellent, and the meals were delicious: fresh, locally sourced products, carefully prepared.
The absolute highlight of the trip was the gorilla tracking. Accompanied by a ranger, we trekked into the rainforest and found no fewer than three gorilla families. We were allowed to spend an hour with one family—an experience that is hard to put into words. We stood face to face with the silverback, the female gorillas, and a playful baby gorilla.
What made our trip unforgettable was our guide, Allanie from Wild Uganda. From the moment he picked us up in the Toyota Land Cruiser until the final day—when he showed us Kampala and we ended with a dinner by the shores of Lake Victoria in Entebbe—everything felt perfectly arranged. His knowledge of the country, its culture, and its wildlife was impressive, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Thanks to him, we got to know Uganda in a wonderful way. Once again, our heartfelt thanks for that @Allanie!
The organization through Wild Uganda was excellent: everything was spot on, from the planning to the accommodations (thank you @Ernest). Uganda has captured our hearts, and as our safari guide Allanie said, we have only seen a small part of it. More than enough reason to return!

Smooth
My friend and I had a great day!
We went to Mabamba swamps to look for the famous shoebill.
Everything went smoothly and Innocent our tour guide) didn't want to give up on showing us the bird, even though it was getting late.
We succeeded!
It was a great experience 🥰👍🏻
We are very grateful and very happy ☺️

The Wild Uganda experience was far beyond expectation
As a fairly experienced safari traveller (Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa), this was my first visit to Uganda. I booked my vacation directly at Wild Uganda. I was charmed by its reviews and the very good value for money in comparison with other operators. There were quite some extra wishes to the standard 10 days offer such as an extra day and different lodges. Communication was very easy and fast via WhatsApp; I also had a very nice video conversation with Ernest. He was very friendly, helpful, flexible and fulfilled all our extra wishes.
Then the journey itself: as said we made several Safaris before in other countries and I must say this one was the most diverse. We did a lot of game drives in Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo and saw a lot of wild life: lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and so on. On top of that we had walking safaris at Ziwa (rhino 's), Kibale (chimps), Bwindi (gorillas) and Lake Mburo (giraffe, zebra etc). We also had boat trips at Lake Victoria (shoebills), Murchison Falls, Kazinga Channel and Lake Bunyonyi. Along the way we visited local communities such as a coffee farm, vanilla plantation, banana beer brewery and primary school. The Ugandese people are very warm and hospitable and real ambassadors for their country. Although it is hard to make a ranking in all of our activities, I must highlight the gorilla track since before booking we were in doubt whether we wanted to spend relatively much money on this tour. I must say it was stunning and worth every penny!
Accommodations were very nice, especially for its locations, welcoming staff and good meals. See reviews on Google maps to get an impression of what to expect. I read some rare negative stories of the lodges we visited, but the only thing I can say is that these are mainly based on unreasonable standards or expectations and ours are solely positive.
Most of all I'd like to mention our guide Allanie, who did a wonderful job at accommodating and establishing this breath taking experience! We had an informal daily briefing and everything was fitted to our wishes. He provided very useful information and extra stops at places of our interest.
If you have the opportunity, I would certainly recommend to book for 10+ days. This will give you the chance to relax every now and then and process all the experiences.
Im short, whenever I return to Uganda I will definitely book at this organisation again and can recommend anyone to do so as well.

Amazing 10 Days Best of Uganda! - Fantastic experience with Wild Uganda and Allaine
Our 10 Days Best of Uganda Tour truly showed us why Uganda is called the “Pearl of Africa.” The diversity of experiences within a relatively short time made the trip feel very complete.
The wildlife we experienced throughout the trip was incredibly abundant. A major highlight, and one of the main reasons for our journey, was the chimpanzee and gorilla tracking, which was truly unforgettable. In addition, we saw leopard cubs, a baby rhino, lions (including a tree-climbing lion during a hunt), and much more – these are only a few examples of what we encountered on a daily basis. One fun highlight was that we managed to see the Big Five in under 24 hours. The boat cruises on the Nile and along the Kazinga Channel were also particularly impressive.
Beyond the animals, the cultural side of the trip was just as memorable. We visited a local cinema, did a gin tasting, learned about local coffee and vanilla farming, and even had the chance to play football with a group of kids in a village. These experiences made the trip feel very authentic and personal.
Allaine was an excellent guide – very knowledgeable, attentive, and also great fun to be around. His sense of humor and the balance he found between engaging with us and giving us time on our own made a real difference throughout the trip.
The accommodations were well chosen, with welcoming staff and good food – perfect for relaxing after active days.
Communication with the tour operator was smooth and reliable from the very beginning. The planning process was straightforward, and all questions were answered quickly and clearly.
Overall, a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend. We would definitely travel again with Wild Uganda and especially with Allaine as a guide.
