Plex African Safaris - Nyerere Safari from Zanzibar – Seamlessly Organised & Outstanding Team!
We had an absolute trip of a lifetime with Plex African Safaris! We were a group of three families (9 travellers in total) visiting Nyerere National Park from Zanzibar, and every single detail was handled with precision and care.
From our initial planning, Edward was a complete pleasure to work with. He was incredibly supportive, communicated clearly at every step, and organized all logistics, flights, transfers, and meals flawlessly.
We were split across two safari jeeps, and the team on the ground was second to none:
* Jeep 1: Massive thanks to Jafari (guide) and Shabani (driver) who looked after our family so brilliantly. Their awesome energy, sharp eyes, local knowledge, and hospitality made our game drives unforgettable!
* Jeep 2: Equal praise to Shukuru (guide) and Fadhili (driver) for taking such fantastic care of the rest of our group.
The wildlife experiences were simply incredible, and we were able to observe so many animals up close. Having elephants surround our jeeps and watching lions resting in the shade just a few meters away were unbelievable moments. We also saw abundance of giraffes, zebra, eagles, monkeys, and so much more!
The sunrise boat cruise on the Rufiji River on Day 2 was another huge highlight—watching the river wildlife wake up for the day ahead was such a peaceful and beautiful way to start the morning before heading back for breakfast. The rest of the day was filled with an enriching visit to a Maasai Boma and a local village tour before our smooth transfers back to Zanzibar.
The vehicles were comfortable, fully stocked with cold drinks, and all meals were great. We honestly have absolutely nothing to fault—the entire team went above and beyond for all 9 of us.

Amazing
Prompt and considerate communication and service. Flexibility, reliability. A kind, helpful and knowledgeable guide in Jafari. He had so many thoughtful observations about the animals, and how humans have adapted to live around them. We saw 18 animal species such as hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, buffalo, antelope, elephants including their young remarkably close plus countless birds.out friends saw a pride of 7 lions the day before. The sunset boat safari was just as wonderful in its own way. We noticed that the whole network of guides, drivers, lodge and restaurant staff create a sense of joy, security and care with everything they do. We would recommend this company to anyone.

Good safaris and people
We went on a safari with Jafari as our guide. He did a really good job on trying to find the animals we told him we wished to see. Unfortunately no lions!
It is a very long day and the food for breakfast and lunch won’t keep you going all day so pack extra food, especially for the trip back to Zanzibar.
All in all a good experience, we were picked up at the exact time they said on Zanzibar (4am) and back late (around 9pm) so prepare for a long day.

He was very friendly and always went above and beyond to show us as much as possible.
We had an amazing safari experience! Everything was well organized from start to finish. Our driver and guide, Sebastian, was outstanding – very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wildlife. He always made sure we had the best possible views and took the time to explain everything. Thanks to him, we were able to see so many incredible animals and truly enjoy the experience.

Incredible
We had the most amazing experience with Plex Africa Safaris on the one-day safari from Zanzibar, and it exceeded all of our expectations.
A huge thank you to our guide, Joseph, who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely determined to give us the best possible experience. He went above and beyond trying to track down lions throughout the day. Although we didn’t manage to spot any in the end, that was simply nature taking its course, and it didn’t take away from the experience at all. We saw so many other incredible animals, and Joseph made every sighting exciting with his knowledge and enthusiasm.
The biggest thank you has to go to Joseph and the entire Plex Africa Safaris team for helping my now fiancé organise the most unforgettable proposal. They put so much care into making it happen, and it was even more special than we could have imagined. Everything was planned perfectly, and they made the whole moment feel relaxed, fun, and truly magical.

Absolutely amazing experience!!!
We had an amazing safari experience with Plex Africa. The organization was highly professional, making us feel completely safe and entirely stress-free. Jafar was a fantastic guide, thanks to him, we managed to see lions, hippos, crocodiles, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and many rare bird species. He was also incredibly supportive and shared a wealth of information about the wildlife and their habits. The driver of our vehicle was wonderful, and we felt absolutely secure with him. The safari itself was a great experience, and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the guide was a disappointment, as was the driver. They were not as engaging, informative, or attentive as we expected, which took away from what could have been an excellent experience.

Our safari with Plex Africa Safari was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania. From the very beginning, everything was organized, professional, and stress-free.

They were knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best safari possible. We booked a private safari, and they made the experience feel very personal by taking the time to search for every animal we hoped to see. They exceeded every expectation we had.
Communication was excellent from start to finish. The team kept us updated every step of the way, arrived on time for hotel pickup, and made the entire day run smoothly. The pricing was also very fair for the quality of the experience we received.

We lived a Safari dream
From the crew: star boy (1st driver), Jafar (safari guide), Edward (our contact), Shabani Aka Lewis Hamilton (best safari driver), Kennedy, Kassim and the guides we had, to the experience we have lived everything was so nice.
We were stressed because we never booked something like this and have a contact via WhatsApp, but if you’re booking with plex you don’t need to worry, Hakuna Matata☺️
The safari was so nice, we have seen a lot of animals: giraffes, elephants, a lion, impala’s, crocodiles, hippopotamus,…
Jafar was always there to tell us a bit more about the animals, you could really feel his love for the animals and Shabani was an incredible driver who was cautious about the animals well being also. We never chased the animals, they always took care about that and that was for me a priority! We were a little sad we didn’t book a second day!
Starboy picks you up in the really early morning with a big smile. The sun is already up with him, even if it’s still dark!
The guides we had for the second day (bush walk, Masai and village tour, boat safari) were also very lovely! Special thanks to our guide for the bush walk who was so interesting to listen to, we could listen to him for hours.

Exceptional Service
This safari tour was the highlight of my 40th birthday. The tour company outdid themselves, from punctuality to the flight to Mikumi and back. The food, the tour guide, everything was 10/10. I had initial phobia for small planes and the wild life in general but this was amazing. The communication was clear and professional. Thank you, I will highly recommend.
