Amazing Tanzania experience with checking everything off the list we wanted!
My wife and I had our Africa safari experience with Get Together adventures and it was fantastic! We arrived in Nairobi (first time in Africa, we are from the USA) to check out the city and nurse our jet lag. Then Get Together arranged a flight from Nairobi to Arusha and dropped off at a luxury resort. We then had a fantastic tour guide named Joseph be our personal driver and guide for eight days from Arusha > Tarangire NP > Central Serengeti NP > Northern Serengeti NP > Ngorongoro crater > Arusha. We got to see everything we wanted and more! Mara river crossings, the big five, etc. Joseph was a great driver and it was obvious when we saw how he drove/navigated compared to other providers whilst we were in the parks. Joseph knew the right places to go, who to communicate with in the bush, and how to get around the parks to see what we wanted and help us check off the boxes we wanted. We also asked him some side quests in villages and he had no issue accommodating. My wife had her birthday during our safari and Get Together arranged something special at one of our resort stays. I would HIGHLY recommend Get Together, Joseph, and all staff we interacted with. I’m writing this as we will be dropped off at the Arusha airport tomorrow and chapter two of our Get Together adventure starts with a flight to Zanzibar, which they arranged everything from flight to Zanzibar, stays, tour, and drop off at the airport to head back to the USA. Emmanuel was the perfect guide and we could not have asked for a better person to join us!
Get Together Adventures gave us the trip of a lifetime, and I don’t say that lightly — this was our honeymoon, and they made every single day of it effortless.
Start with the wildlife. We saw all of the Big Five: leopards, lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo. Then hyenas, gazelles, and more species than I can list here. The highlight was an aardwolf, which almost nobody gets to see — our guide Emmanuel spotted it and knew immediately what we were looking at.
Emmanuel is the reason this trip was what it was. His knowledge is genuinely extraordinary: animal behavior, birds, ecology, culture, history. He read the bush better than we thought possible and always seemed to know exactly where to be and when. Beyond that, he’s warm, funny, and endlessly patient. We could not have asked for a better guide.
The logistics were flawless from the moment we landed. Airport transfers, every game drive, every lodge from Lake Duluti onward — all seamless, all on time, with zero stress on our end. That’s not easy to pull off over two weeks in Tanzania, and they made it look easy.
We would do this again in a heartbeat. If you’re considering a safari, book with Get Together Adventures and ask for Emmanuel.

Fantastic week-long great migration experience
I recently returned from a week-long safari as a solo traveler and photographer, and it exceeded my expectations in every way.
From the very beginning, the office was fantastic to work with. They responded quickly to every message and were incredibly helpful in accommodating all my customization requests. The lodges they arranged were consistently good quality throughout the trip.
The vehicle itself was like-new and in excellent condition. It came equipped with cold refreshments, snacks, and even internet access — but as a photographer, what I appreciated most were the bean bags!
A huge part of what made this trip special was my guide, Makundi. He was punctual every single day and flexible whenever I wanted to adjust plans or chase a particular shot. Beyond that, he's simply an excellent driver and clearly very experienced in the field — his knowledge of both animals and plants was impressive, and I loved the facts and fun facts he shared along the way. He knows the parks inside and out, and it was obvious he's well-liked and respected among the other guides too. Some of my favorite moments were the storytelling during dinners, the bush lunch and coffee breaks, giving the days a nice rhythm.
What really stood out, though, was how much Makundi cared — not just about me as a client, but about the vehicle too. When one of the windows malfunctioned, he addressed it right away and got it fixed. He also cleaned the car every single day, which spoke to his overall attention to detail and pride in his work.
Overall, this was an outstanding safari experience, and I'd highly recommend both the company and Makundi as a guide to anyone planning a trip — especially photographers who'll appreciate the thoughtful touches like the bean bags or internet in the car.

Unforgettable trip - Tanzania combined with a stay in Zanzibar.
We booked an 11-day safari in Tanzania followed by seven relaxing days in Zanzibar with Get Together Adventures as a married couple in August 2026, and we were extremely satisfied with the entire experience.
The organization was excellent from start to finish. The itinerary was planned flexibly according to our wishes, and all our questions were answered very quickly. The booking process and overall arrangements went smoothly, and communication was always easy and reliable. When one of our transfers did not arrive on time, the team was immediately reachable and found a quick and effective solution.
All of the accommodations were comfortable and well located. Our safari guide Joseph was particularly outstanding: he was flexible and attentive to our needs as hobby photographer, highly knowledgeable about the wildlife, and well connected with other guides. He was also a very good and reliable driver, which made us feel safe throughout the safari.
We had an unforgettable trip and would gladly recommend Get Together Adventures to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania combined with a stay in Zanzibar.

Get Togethers was fantastic
Get Together was great. I'd highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. Emmanuel and the rest of the team were always very responsive and were able to tailor our tour exactly how we wanted. Our driver/guide Sifael was the best and was able to find the animals we wanted to see and find ways to fit many amazing experiences into each day. Definitely go with Get Together if you are considering a safari in Tanzania.

An unforgettable honeymoon in Tanzania
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Get Together Adventures, who organized our entire honeymoon in Tanzania, from our safari to our stay in Zanzibar.
We spent 4 days on safari, visiting the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire, followed by 6 relaxing days in Zanzibar. Everything was very well organized, especially the transfers between each destination, which made the whole trip completely stress-free.
The team was also incredibly responsive and available whenever we had a question or needed anything. We really appreciated knowing that someone was always there to help.
We also received several thoughtful little touches and surprises during our safari, which made the experience even more special and truly added to the magic of our honeymoon. These personal attentions really made us feel cared for throughout the trip.

Best Experience of my life
We had the BEST safari experience this company and our guide Joseph! He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, patient, and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. He took the time to understand our personalities and our interests in the animals, and he was so patient with us as we took endless pictures and videos.

great value, private experience, great driver
Get together made the safari so easy. once it was booked we didn’t have to do anything else. our driver met us right at the airport and was with us the entire time. our driver was joseph . he was kind, knew exactly what to do, and handled all check ins. all we had to do was show up. joseph was excited to make tiktoks when we asked and was very pleasant to be around.

An Unforgettable 5-Star Family Adventure
We had a really great experience with Get Together Adventures. They helped us plan a custom trip months in advance and were always helpful and easy to communicate with.
Things didn’t exactly start according to plan, as we missed our connecting flight in Frankfurt on the way to Zanzibar. But the team was fantastic and helped rearrange everything so that it had almost no impact on our trip. We really appreciated how flexible and helpful everyone was.
Both of our guides were great — very knowledgeable, friendly and kind, and also really good with my kids. We stayed in a mix of tents and lodges and saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and much more. The Serengeti was definitely one of the highlights.
After the safari we spent a couple of days relaxing at a nice resort in Zanzibar, which was a great way to end the trip.
Overall, a real 5-star experience for us. Great people, great guides and a trip we’ll remember for a long time. Definitely a company I would recommend and use again.

GetTogetherAdventures and, especially, our guide Joseph, made this trip an amazing family adventure! I was shocked at how many wild animals we were able to see up close in less in just a few days. Joseph was able to spot and point out every species we had hoped to see on this trip, and answered all of our questions about the wild life and culture of Tanzania. There were one or two questions (out of many) that he didn’t know on the spot, and he took the time to find the answer that day. Joseph was also a very skilled driver and adjusted the itinerary to our preferences throughout the trip. We would love to come back some day!
