Adventures with excellent tour guide
**5/5 Stars – Exceptional Safari Experience with guide Denis Ochieng!**
We had an incredible safari journey through Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha, and the Masai Mara, and special mention to the guide Denis was the absolute highlight of our trip!
Denis is an extraordinary driver and guide—exceptionally skilled, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes. His eagle-eyed ability to spot animals from afar made our game drives unforgettable. Beyond his spot-on tracking skills, Denis was always punctual, kept us safe on long drives, and brought wonderful warmth and humor to every single day.

August 2026 Safari Review
Overall, the tour was well organized and ran smoothly, and we had a very good experience. However, there were a few downsides worth mentioning:
1. Land Cruiser: The vehicle’s interior is quite old and could use some renovation. The windows were also difficult to open. Unfortunately, the vehicle broke down twice during our trip, which disrupted our schedule and reduced the time we had for our game drives.
2. Kibo Safari Camp, Amboseli: The staff at the front desk were quite rude and not very welcoming, which was disappointing. I understand that this was not the guide’s fault, and I have already mentioned this in my Google review.
3. Mara Serena Safari Lodge: The views were absolutely amazing, but the room was far too small for three people. We were squeezed into a twin room with an extra bed, leaving almost no space to open or store our luggage.
4. Maasai Village: The village itself was a nice experience and interesting to visit. However, toward the end of the visit, some of the villagers put quite a lot of pressure on us to buy souvenirs, which made the experience less enjoyable.
Other than these issues, our guide Ojema was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. Syprose, who helped arrange and book our tour, was also very helpful, responsive, and easy to communicate with.
Overall, we really enjoyed the safari and had many memorable experiences. Despite the issues mentioned above, we would like to thank the team for organizing the trip and helping make our Kenya safari a great experience.

Exceptional Safari Experience with Outstanding Guides
We were a group of 10, and Apodiformes Adventures organised a truly memorable safari for us. Communication before the trip was excellent, with prompt responses and a willingness to tailor the itinerary and arrangements to suit our group. A major highlight of our trip was our two driver-guides, Sebastian and Kevin, who were both brilliant. They were friendly, professional, reliable and had fantastic knowledge of the wildlife, particularly the animals and birds we encountered.
Sebastian deserves a special mention. He is clearly passionate about what he does and has developed an excellent network of contacts with other guides. He was constantly gathering information about wildlife movements and sightings, which helped us make the most of every game drive and gave us some wonderful wildlife experiences.
Both Sebastian and Kevin worked extremely hard to make sure that all 10 of us enjoyed the safari. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment added enormously to our experience.

Absolutely brilliant tour
Our recent safari in Kenya was absolutely unforgettable, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish.
A huge shoutout to our guide, Sebastian, who was the absolute star of the trip. He is incredibly experienced and has an almost supernatural ability to spot wildlife. Beyond his knowledge, he was incredibly accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and getting the best views at every stop.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located to make the most of the wilderness. I also want to mention the Silas, the organiser, who replied to every message with impressive speed and made the booking process stress-free.
We had a wonderful time and have come home with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you!

Amazing Safari
We did a 6 days tour and the experience went Beyond our expectations. Before
The trip everything was perfectly arranged by the operator and we didn’t need to worry about anything. During the safari our guide Songhe spotted all the animals and shared information about them and Made the game drive very fun. Our safari was pretty long because it covered samburu reserve, ol pejeta and Masai Mara but Songhe Made all the time spent together very pleasent.

Superb
Songe is our tour guide for 7 days, he is friendly, helpful and fun, he also managed to show us the Big 5 animals which we wanted to see. He always try his best to show us the best angle of seeing the animals. We had a wonderful time in Kenya, and would definitely recommend Apodiformes Adventures to our friends in the future.

Silas and team were Professional, Efficient, Responsive, Friendly, Amazingly Accommodating, and Reliable. They facilitated our custom itinerary which included Nairobi, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Amboseli, Diani Beach, Tsavo West & Tsavo East. It was just the two of us, and the trip was for 19 days in total. As we are professional photographers, we had some very specific requirements, but we also wanted to have a great experience. Silas and his team did everything possible to deliver everything for us, with fantastic value for money. Any questions were answered extremely quickly. Any issues or confusion that arose, were handled immediately and smoothly. Dealing with Apodiformes was an absolute pleasure! It was an amazing experience. Our guides, Dickson & Isaiah were truly fantastic. They were both brilliant at their job, but they are also lovely people, who it was a pleasure to spend the time with. The atmosphere while out on the game drives was really good all of the time!
For Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara & Amboseli, we had Dickson. Dickson is an amazing driver and guide, and he knows those parks VERY well! He managed to get us into fantastic positions based on what we were asking for to get the shots we had in our heads. He also had fantastic patience when it came to the times where we had to wait around for a scene to unfold, to mean we could get the best shots possible. We were first to multiple sightings, including, Cheetah, Lions, White & Black Rhino & Leopard, as they were sightings that Dickson himself made happen due to his knowledge of the parks. It's obvious that Dickson is VERY passionate about delivering sightings.
For Tsavo East & Tsavo West, our guide was Isaiah. The first thing that has to be said about Isaiah, is that NOTHING is too much trouble for him. He is so relaxed and patient, that we were very happy to just focus on what we needed to do to, and he helped us to find what we needed, and was very happy to get us into the positions we needed to be in. January is a quiet time of year for some of the famous animals in Tsavo, as vast numbers of them are gone to Tanzania, but we really wanted to focus on Tsavo's famous "red elephants". We also wanted to find and photograph some big tuskers, and with Isaiah's help & patience, we actually managed to find quite a few, including some extremely rare super tuskers - 2 that I could specifically identify, and a possible third.
One important thing that stood out about both guides was their respect for the animals. Under no circumstances did they allow themselves to end up in a position where we were causing stress or upset to any animal. We were all unanimously happy to leave any sighting where it looked like it was going to get crowded, as happens far too often in the Masai Mara. BRAVO to Dickson & Isaiah, and to Apodiformes Adventures! I highly recommend Apodiformes Adventures to everyone!

Attentive to detail, personalising our unforgettable safari
Every detail from pick up to drop off was managed so we could just sit back and enjoy our safari. Our driver, Songee, was extremely knowledgeable and was always keen to prioritise what we wanted to see on our safari drives. He knew when to wait and watch the animals and when we would be wasting our time, as the animals were hiding or would turn back from a migration crossing. He knew animal territories in the parks and where to go to see what, multiple times finding us animal experiences with just our keep and away from the carnage of 40 keeps trying to look at 1 sleeping lion. He advised us on our last safari drive to wait and watch a single sleeping lion, as all the other jeeps left, we waited and saw another 5 lions appear, hidden in the grass.
Highly recommend the operator and we had an unforgettable 5 nights away.
