Best safari experience in savuti and chobe national park with moonlight safaris. Saw all of the cats and all the animals you could think of from elephants to lions to leopard and even found a pride of lions feeding on an elephant .Mr BG was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to accommodate us and all our needs. If you are ever in botswana or the chobe area don't miss the opportunity of using moon light safaris you won't be disappointed

It has exceeded our expectations - the perfect Tour !

In August I did a daytrip in Savute with my wife and two daughters 14 and 10 with Moonlight-Safaris and the very experienced Guide Bogosi Kakambi.
The drive itself through the deep sand was an incredible experience.
We were lucky to observe a leopard stalking an impala herd. We stayed with the leopard for a long time before finally disappearing into the bushes.
Bogosi Kakambi drove through the Savute Marsh. When we discovered a buffalo carcass, he explained the importance of the interaction between animal and nature.
Behind a bush in the shadow, Bogosi spotted two lionesses. We could take phantastic photos.
It was an exciting game drive especially by the super nice and very knowledgeable Guide.

Then two days later we made a day trip to the Chobe, of course again with the best guide ever “Bogosi Kakambi”.
We saw big herds of elephants and again our guide could explain a lot about these wonderful animals.
He tirelessly searched for animals and tirelessly answered our questions about animals and nature.
From the morning at 7.00 to the breathtaking sunset over the Chobe he accompanied us with joy and patience.

We had two wonderful enriching and exciting days that we would never dream of.
Thanks a lot to Moonlight-Safaris and Bogosi Kakambi.

Reliable and knowledgeable safari operator for all of Botswana parks and reserves.

In August/ September, 2021 I and 7 other friends of mine had the privilege to do with Moonlight Safaris 6 nights moible camping safari in Savuti, Khwai Concession and Moremi Game Reserve.

The owner of the company, B G, was guiding and in charge of the trip. Amazing experience in every aspect. We used public campsite in Savuti and Moremi, in Khwai - accommodated. B G is a very experienced wildlife guide with great knowledge of the animals, including birds and an excellent driver, as well (roads are mostly deep sand and quiote challenging to negotiate).

We had fabulous sightings in all the parks/ reserves. In Khwai Concession, BG found a large pack of wild dogs and we spend more than an hour alone with them before other vehicles started to join us. Huge prides of llions in Savuti, lots of mamals and birds everywhere. B G knows how to position the vehicle for optimal light for photography, finds great spots for sunrise and sunset shots.

I have done many safaris in Africa and do have a broad basis for comparison and I would recommend without hesitation B G and Moonlight Safaris for any type of wildlife trip in Botswana.

I and a number of friends are goint to do with them combination of the above itinerary plus Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, the Chobe River area of Chobe National Park and Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.

Thank you, B G and see you again soon!

What an incredible experience. Truly one of the best times of my life.

What an amazing trip. It started with a boat tour of the Chobe River. We saw so much from the boat and it gave us a unique perspective. We then took a drive through the park to see a large variety of wildlife. Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Impala, and on and on. The guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. He knew where to go and exactly what to look for. We then camped under the stars and enjoyed delicious food cooked over the camp fire. Never have I slept so soundly. Morning we woke to an amazing breakfast and out into the park for more wildlife. A few lions made it a perfect trip. I will be back and encourage anyone considering to check out Moonlight Safaris. You won't regret it.

It is possible. Extraordinary safari experience without luxury and WiFi thanks to Bogosi

Booked the safari for 2019, but due to corona started in 2021 with 2 teenagers aged 13 and 15. We actually wanted to book a self-drive safari and were glad that we chose Bogosi, who has contributed to the success of this tour through his many years of experience. A tour with a guide also gives the driver a holiday feeling. We're talking about 6 days of African massage, as Bogosi used to fondly say, since there are no paved roads from Maun to Chobe. Bogosi drove with us over paths that we didn't even recognize as such and would not have dared to drive alone for fear of breaking an axle, always looking for the best spot, of course. We saw all the animals that the national park has to offer and there were a lot of them. Whether it was giraffes or elephants in the middle of our path, herds of lions gathering strength for the next hunt, leopards sharing pumba or the lazy cheetah resting in the tree, Bogosi always had the right nose. His open safari car with three rows of seats made the trip even more enjoyable than in the closed, air-conditioned pickup. We slept the 6 nights at 3 locations in large, high-quality igloo tents that were very quick to set up and take down. Also the sophisticated mattress system. One of us wouldn't recognize the campsites as designated campsites, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but that was the charm of the trip. Although hyenas and anteaters frequented our camp in search of our kitchen supplies, our chef Timo always guarded our camp well. Timo is a real bushman, who conjured up real miracles on his small lattice over the fire and always gave us security. We didn't know what we were getting into and when Bogosi picked us up with the car and trailer we weren't sure if this could be really great, but it was and we would do it exactly the same way again and again. Thank you, a great experience - also for teenagers!

Outstanding Tour Guide and Host
5/5

We arranged an eight-day camping safari from Maun to Chobe, Botswana in January 2021 for our group of seven friends (Six are in our late 70s). Four are residents of Colorado and three from Canada. Bogosi Kakambi ("BG") and his staff gave us a terrific tour. My wife and I have traveled frequently to many southern African destinations since 1996. This was one of the best safari experiences we have had and certainly exceptional value for money. BG is an exceptional man and an exceptional guide. He and his team (Timoth and Gift) responded to our every request. The meals were excellent. The vehicle was perfect for our group, even on the roughest January, rainy season, roads. Game viewing was outstanding as well. We have never seen so many elephant. And on our last day in Chobe National Park, we were treated to a pack of Wild Dogs around our vehicle. A morning mokoro (traditional canoe) excursion in Khwai and the Chobe River boat excursion were memorable as well. At the end of our tour BG personally drove us to Victoria Falls for the final stop on our tour. We would not hesitate to recommend BG and Moonlight Safaris to anyone who is looking for a first class African Safari Adventure.

My wife and I returned to Chobe the following year (August 2021) and went on a memorable day-tour from Kasane to Savuti. BG was our personal guide on that trip and he gave us another excellent tour.

First class service
5/5

As a family of 4 we booked an overnight stay having enjoyed numerous day trips in the past so we knew a little of what to expect.
We were traveling on a budget so were expecting a typical ‘much promised, little delivered ‘ experience that seemed commonplace on the continent. But the whole trip was very professional and of the highest standard - I’m sure we stumbled on a great find.
Bogosi met us on time at the pick up destination with everything ready to go.
Instead of just a tour guide, Bogosi became a friend to us, tailoring the Safari to the animals we wanted to see the most, and enjoying his company around the camp fire learning many things about our environment and African living along the way. A very valuable insight was surprisingly gained here.
We stayed in comfortable and safe tents with a fantastic meal in the evening provided by his chef who was the only other member of the party.
We rose early in the morning as we had never seen hyenas and Bogosi had a hunch as to where they would be - and he was once again spot on with his judgment and knowledge- something that if your tour guide has, impacts greatly on what you can get to see. Our expectations being fulfilled, we headed back to camp where a beautiful meal was ready for us and camp was packed up for departure.
On the return trip home we were treated to our best lion pride experiences just to top of a wonderful tour.
Moonlight Safaris delivered a beautiful family holiday highlight that as a family we knew was going to be a one of a lifetime event and will be fondly remembered and treasured for the unique opportunity Botswana offers as to accessing the wildlife but also due to the great service provided.
Purchasing the booking directly through the owner I think was good, as it meant we got the best value for money and a company small enough to give a personal touch.
If things have remained the same with this business since our adventure in 2019, certainly use Bogosi and book Moonlight Safaris.

I have never camped before and came on this trip with skepticism. But to my surprise, it turned out to be a tremendous experience.
As a senior,I was comfortably accomodated throughout the trip and given good care by BG.Without doubt ,I would recommend other adventurous seniors to use the Moonlight Safaris Tour services.

Took 3 trips. Victoria Falls, a cruise on the Tsiwa River and a cave safari in the Savoti area of the Tsiwa National Reserve where we spent time camping in tents at a high level of comfort. We were exposed to a large variety of wild animals on these trips. Patience, generosity and a very warm face and made sure that we were seen and didn't miss a thing. In this way we experienced an adventure that we will never forget. I highly recommend using his services.
