Terrible experience
Attention! do not go to any of these safari agencies (Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club, Kima, Safari Moja Matata) especially not to Mister Thomas. I think they are scammers.
We paid Mr. Thomas 3800 USD to have a 8 days safari, at the end of July 2023: Serengeti, Lake Natron, Olduvai Gorge, lake Maniara. Starting from Arusha. He promised us the new car which pics he sent us by whatsapp when we contacted him, but a very old Toyota was used for our safari. The car was very very old and dangerous and Mr Thomas put us in a very serious DANGER and RISK for our LIVES! AND HE KNEW IT. That was a criminal way to work with people.
First of all, we paid Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club; the safari program was by KIMA company, and to enter the parks the name of the company was Safari Moja Matata. We don't know what happened.
The Toyota Prado sx 30 turbo (plate T457 ANR) had very worn tyres, left windows and doors didn't work (we can't get out of the car, we can't close the windows when the road was dusty), brakes didn't work and produced smoke and bud smell, brake fluid came out from the left front wheel, rear shock absorbers didn't work so the car skided dangerously and the engine made strange noises. The car was very very dirty and rusted. The driver (Juma) had to drive very slowly because the car swerving when improved the speed, so we lost a lot of time for visiting the parks. We were very afraid for our safety.
After a day driving, we wrote and phoned to Thomas to ask him for changing the car for a better one as those in the picture he sent, but he said it was the only avaible car. He said the car was ok, but it wasn't at all.
In fact, on 25th July one of the bald tyres broke. They mount the spare wheel but he broke after 20 meters! The spare tyre was very bald too.
We stand on the road for hours to wait for new wheels. I called Thomas to protest, he said we was right and he would refund us for that day, but he didn't it. That was the last time he answered at calling or sending messages.
Finally Thomas sent a private car that carried us to Lake Natron but we arrived in late and we had only 2 hours to visit the side in a great hurry.
By night, the driver Juma arrived to Natron with the same old car again and 2 new tyres and we continued the safari on the same old car.
The safari continued driving always very very slowly and we always must wait 2/3 ours for the payment for entering the parks because Thoms were always in late in that. We lost a lot of time every time.
On 27th July in Serengeti the brake fluid came out from a wheel that made bad noises. So we couldn't arrive to Serengeti Central and we had to pass the first night in another camping near the border of the park. Because of the slow driving and the in late payments we arrived on 28th July to Olduvai Gorge only 1 our before the closing! INCREDIBLE! We have no enought time to visit all we wanted.
On 29th July, during descending Ngorongoro slope, brakes caught fire! The company put us in a great danger! We could have a serious accident during the deep descent. A lot of other drivers stopped to advise us about the dangerous situation.
On the way back, climbing the Ngorongoro slope, the car stopped because the engine produced smoke. We all pushed the car trying to restart the car unsuccessfully. Another car gave a ride to the top of the slope. The old and dangerous car broke definitely and our driver left it in Ngorongoro.
We remained with no safari car, and we continued our safari changing different private cars for the remaining 2 days with great discomforts and delays, while you disappeared at all!
On the way back to Arusha we went to the Arusha Tourist & Diplomatic Police station to make a report to the police.
The police said that surely one of the three safari companies was a fake.
Our safari and our holiday are ruined, and we risked our lives!
After the report at the police, Mr Thomas promised to refund us 1500 USD, but he disappeared without doing it.

Nice
We had a very nice safari trip with our guide Amani from KIMI adventures. The tour was very well organized with lunch and bathroom breaks timed perfectly.
Amani taught us a lot about the animals and was very respectful to our needs.
Between safari drives we stayed at Bastian camp lodge, wich was really nice!
We saw a lot of cool animals.

Amazing Safari
We had the best time with our safari guide Thomas from KIMA adventures.
We felt very well taken care of in a brand new safari car with air conditioning and a fridge with cold water.
The tour was very well organized with lunch and bathroom breaks timed perfectly.
Thomas was very attentive and respectful to our needs, wich made us so comfortable the whole trip.
It was also not difficult to understand that he has been guide for many years, he taught us a lot about the animals in the park and could answer any questions we had.
We felt really lucky to be able to see all the animals in the national park, and maybe it was a bit of luck, but Thomas definitely had the knowledge to find them for us as well!
Between game drives we stayed at Bastian camp lodge, wich was really nice!
The highlight from the tour was the first evening, standing by a waterhole with crocodiles, hippos and elephants in the sunset and our guide came with beers for us, because “when the elephant drinks, we also drink”.
Thank you so much for an experience of a life time! 100% recommend!

Wonderful
I was visiting Tanzania for the first time with my friend. We were going to meet my sister who was on exchange in Tanga (TICC). We were three girls in our mid- and late 20s and got Kima Adventures recommended from TICC. We sent them an email and Thomas answered quickly and gave us a programme that fitted our needs, wishes and amount of time.
I have a hard time describing how an amazing experience this was. Thomas is such a wonderful person. He picked me and my friend up in Dar es Salaam and they sent a female driver to pick up my sister in Tanga. We met in Chalinze and my sister joined the car before we all drove to Mikumi. We slept in Camp Bastian (which was included in the price together with all the meals) and went on safari the night we came and also the day after. I felt it was perfect amount of game drive (in the end the eyes are a bit tired and in our case we got to se so many animals in different situations, so after the second day we were really satisfied!) On the last day Thomas drove us all back to Tanga with a lunch stop on the way.
Thomas gave us briefing on the plan all the time, had patience for the nature and told us a lot about the animals and Tanzania in general. We felt both safe and so happy to find this safari company!
tl;dr:
* Three girls in mid and late 20s.
* First time in Tanzania.
* Got picked up in both Dar es Salaam and one of us in Tanga (female driver.)
* Went to Mikumi, slept at Camp Bastian.
* A lovely experience.
* Thomas (our guide) is wonderful.
* Felt safe and so happy.
* All my warmest accommodations!

Very efficient, was able to set up the tour within two days.
The provider was very flexible with the planing. We able to find something that worked within my budget. I got more than enough food and water and the hotel was clean.
I had an amazing Guide (Amani), who was great at spotting animals. He knew alot (especially where the animals like to hide) and was passionate about his job.
I love taking pictures and was able to take alot. Recommend bringig a proper Camera that can zoom in a bit. Some animals will be far away but many will be quite close. There also were alot of cute baby animals, especially monkeys. I would definitely do it again. You'll make memorys for a lifetime

Thomas was a very flexible and attentative tour organizer. Thank you very much!
Thomas and the whole Team of Kima adventures organized an unforgettable trip for us to Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountain National Parks. They were very flexible in organizing the trip according to our wishes and were always ready to adapt plans if necessary. The guides booked in Mikumi and Udzungwa were both very knowledgable and explained us the wildlife and nature in all details. We also liked our accommodation at Camp Sebastion a lot, with the option of swimming in the pool after long days and excellent food options. Overall, a great and smooth trip. Thank you very much Kima Adventures!

Everything was perfectly organised.
The communication was super quick and easy. Thomas organised everything exactly in the way we wanted. Emanuel was the perfect tour guide who could spot animals from far away. He answered all our questions and made the trip unforgettable. If we would do another safari, we would for sure book it with them again. Thank you so much for the great time in Mikumi!

Very Nice Tour in Mkomazi National Park
The organization was easy and efficient and it was possible to book the trip on short notice.
The two travel days were long, but the comfortable car and caring driver made up for it. The day in Mkomazi was astounding. We visited the rehabilitation site for the black rhino and Thomas even offered to take us to the wild dog project, which we gladly accepted. In the evening we got to travel along with an elephant herd to their water hole, it was magical! On our way we saw many other animals which took the same route.
It was an amazing experience in a very authentic and beautiful landscape.

Mkomazi National Park
The tour guide Thomas was so nice and we had a really good time with him!
Sadly we were not informed before we paid that the animals in Mkomazi are very shy. Therefore the animals were far away. That wouldn‘t have been a problem if the tourguide had provided a binocular, but on both days we had none eventhough we asked…
But to see the rhino was a once in a lifetine experience!!
