Amazing. Could not have asked for a more perfect time.

Our tour guide David was amazing. He was very quick to respond to any of our questions and tailored the tour to suit our needs. He went above and beyond to ensure our trip was the best it could have been. It was the best value for money I have come across from all my research. The accomodation was outstanding also.

We had the most amazing trip with Native Africa Trails! Our tour guide David was fantastic from the moment we booked, suiting our trip to our needs! We had a brilliant safari experience seeing the big five followed by a great visit to Lake Naivasha. Couldn’t recommend David enough!

This was the trip of a lifetime! Zebra Plains camp was stunning and we were very comfortable staying there. Food was provided in the form of picnics during our safari drives and set meals at the camp, we were very happy with this. David, our tour guide, was fantastic. He was easy-going and looked after us so well throughout the tour. He was so determined to help us find the Big 5 it was lovely to know he tried so hard for us, and it was a huge success!! We saw the big 5 and it was thrilling! David was so accommodating, changing times and plans to suit our needs and we always felt safe when with him. He had great knowledge of the animals and shared this with us. It was clear that David’s knowledge was gained from experience and he was not just rattling off facts that he had learned for the tour. The jeep was very comfortable and we were content driving around during the safari. Be sure to bring plenty of bug spray as it was really needed!
We visited the Masai Mara and brought lots of materials for the children (the school was closed for holidays at this time so we shared the materials with the children at the village). It was great fun dancing with the locals. We were so glad that we brought so school books, pencils, etc. as the children had lined up in the hope of receiving these gifts. The hotel that we moved to for the last night was acceptable but we missed our lovely Zebra Plains camp. The boat trip on Lake Naivasha was amazing! We were brought to a small peninsula where we walked with free-roaming zebras, wildebeests and giraffes! It was incredible to walk so closely to them having seen them from the jeep on our safari. We added the Giraffe centre to our trip on the last day and it was so lovely. David organised PCR tests for us and made sure that we had everything ready for the next part of our trip to Zanzibar.
Overall, it was such a memorable experience. We have so many funny stories, amazing photos from the safari and I would highly recommend this tour as we were so well looked after, happy and comfortable throughout.

Just amazing, so informative, helpful and great fun!

We were a group of 6 friends and we really enjoyed the tour.
We were picked up from the airport by David and he was just so helpful for the 4 nights and 5 days of the tour.
He accommodated our every request, dietary requirements and organised Covid tests for our return flight.
We saw all of the "big 5" animals and this was due to David's patience and knowledge of where the animals would be located.

Great value for money - the Zebra plains hotel was fantastic.
Would recommend the entire tour to anyone!
5 out of 5 stars!!!!

Reliable, flexible, knowledgeable service
5/5

Incredible holiday - adventure and wildlife. Native Africa Trails organised a superb trip for us. After two years of covid restrictions we wanted something exciting but it was hard to choose a safari company. After reading a lot of reviews we picked Native Africa Trails because if a recommendation and we are very happy we did. David, our guide, accompanied us from landing at the airport to dropping us back there after our trip. We visited multiple sites and stayed in two lovely hotels, recommended by our guide. For me, the highlight was the for days we spent in the Masai Mara. The variety of birds was astonishing (I am a keen twitcher) and the chance to see so many wild animals in their natural habitat was truly special. David's local knowledge allowed him to find the best spots to find everything we expected to see: lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, Thompson's gazelles, impala, waterbuck, hartebeest, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, water buffaloes, zebra, serval cats, jackals, and most special of all, two white rhino. David took us off road quite often to drive across the plains to help find the cats and his jeep can safely cross some challenging terrain. It was a magical holiday because of David's organisation and flexibility - he built a unique bespoke experience for us. He speaks English, Spanish, Swahili and a local tribal language fluently, communicates clearly and responds rapidly to any questions. We felt completely safe and looked after at all times. Highly recommended for excellent, reliable service.

Native Africa Trails offer a fantastic service. David is very helpful and flexible.

We booked a trip from the UK for 5 people, 3 generations of one family. David helped us choose the destinations, hotels and itinerary, to suit our wishes. He picked us up from Nairobi Airport and stayed with us for the whole 9 days, communicating smoothly with locals to gain us the best prices. We stayed in Lake Naivasha first, in a good hotel (great food and beautiful gardens) taking trips out every day. This part of our holiday was quite active 1) a boat trip to Crescent Island National Park, where we walked among the zebras, antelopes and giraffes, and watched hippos, fish eagles and stalks up close 2) a 7 km cycle ride through Hell's Gate National Park seeing more wildlife, the spectacular scenery, geothermal hot springs and a view of the gorge 3) a hike up Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano to look into the crater. This was quite hard work for some of the party but the views were spectacular. There was the option to walk around the rim, an extra 7 km but we decided against that. Next we drove to the Masai Mara where we stayed at the luxurious Masai Serena Lodge, cleverly hidden on the top of a hill, surrounded by trees and bushes. The views and the food were great. Each day, our guide David took us out on a morning and late afternoon game drive in his amazing jeep. He knew where to go looking for the animals we were interested in seeing and during our 4 day stay we saw lions for times (including a pride feasting on a carcass, and a lioness with 4 cubs), three different leopard sightings, three cheetahs together, two serval cats, a herd of over 200 elephants, some very close by, hyenas, jackals, gazelles and antelopes, many giraffes, zebras, ostriches, eagles, storks and many other species of bird. My 5 year old grandson particularly enjoyed our encounters with hippos, especially the morning we had breakfast with them on the banks of the river. There were even some crocodiles. David was a skilled driver who took us off road through terrain that looked impossible in order to get really close to the animals, but in a way that respected their space. It was the holiday of a lifetime and I have no hesitation in strongly recommending Native Africa Trails as a safari company you can trust to deliver very good service with excellent local knowledge. He is reliable and honest.

An effortless adventure into the wild
5/5

From conception to completion David was a total professional. He was attentive throughout answering messages and emails quickly. When we arrived in country David was timely and organised. We spent the first four days in Naivasha. All of the excursions were well planned from our bike ride through Hells Gate, to an afternoon walk on crescent island or walking up Mt Longonot. I would throughly recommend all.

After our time in Naivasha we drove to the Mara. David completed the 5/6 hour drive with effortless competence. My young son was sat in the front with him and they chatted throughout. David has a young family himself meaning he knows how to talk to young children, keeping their interest and showing genuine interest. Upon arrival to the

Mara I was stuck by it’s beauty. We stuck to Davids itinerary completing two game drives a day, this allowed for lunch and a swim at the hotel each day. I would suggest this if you have a child with you, a full days game driving might prove difficult for a little one!
The Serena hotel was beautiful and the staff were lovely. We saw everything you could want to see. Rhinos, cheetah, lions, lion cubs, elephants, a number of leopards, servals, hyenas, antelope , birds…. Everything. David can answer questions and identify any animal.

David arranged for us to have the hippos breakfast, I can honestly say that was one of the most magical moments of my life. The atmosphere, food and views were spectacular. He also surprised us with sundowners on the last night whilst out in the Mara. We watched the sun set whilst drinking cold drinks and chatting. A magical experience.

I really cannot rate David enough. From start to finish he was excellent. A real gent and a total professional. Thank you David.

Motivated
4/5

Hello, we took a 3 days Safari with this organisation a few weeks ago. The communication before the trip was very fluent and clear so that def. comforted us :) Than on the day itself we had a 6h drive to the Masai Safari-hotel, so please be aware of that… This came a bit unexpected for us since it was a long day to go trough. Although when we arrived everything was great and the staff was super helpful and kind. Also the hotel itself was soooosooosoo unreal (the food, the room, the environment), a dream. David and Cyrus, the guides, are native English speakers and know a lot of the animals. I can assure you’ll have a good trip and being in good hands :) The only thing that bothered us enormous was the fact that beverages are not included. We had a lunch but needed to pay for the drinks, not being aware of this can bring you in awkward situations as not heaving enough Kenyan shillings f.e. Also at the end of our stay we needed to pay for the drinks we consumed during breakfast, lunch, dinner. So if this can maybe be calculated in the price, it will be much more pleasant. Buuuut to be extra clear, thank you for all your wisdom and your safe safari rides, where we saw a lot of pretty animals and nature. If you want to see the 5 five I need to tell you, you should add a Nairobi city Safari to your trip to Kenya too, because seeing a rhino is much easier there than at the Masai Mara. :)

AMAZING! Professional and personal experience with David
5/5

David from Native Africa Tours was nothing shy of brilliant. He had everything planned out and from the second we landed and everything went very smooth.
This trip exceeded my expectations from the safari tours seeing the animals, to a lovely lunch and chats in the Savannah.
I would recommend Native Africa tours to everyone and would love to come back again!
