Uwezo Adventures – Standard Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By booking a tour with Uwezo Adventures, you agree to be bound by these terms, which outline the rights and obligations of both parties.
1. Booking and Payment
• A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your booking.
• The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the tour.
• Bookings made less than 30 days before departure require full payment at the time of booking.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer or other methods as agreed.
2. Cancellation and Refunds
• Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation charges apply:
• 60+ days before departure: Full refund minus admin fees
• 31–59 days: 50% of deposit forfeited
• 15–30 days: 50% of total cost forfeited
• 0–14 days: 100% of total cost forfeited
• No refunds will be given for unused services once the tour has commenced.
• Uwezo Adventures reserves the right to cancel any tour due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, full refunds will be issued.
3. Alterations to Itinerary
• While we strive to operate tours as described, we reserve the right to make changes due to weather, safety, accommodation availability, or other circumstances beyond our control.
• Any such changes will be communicated in advance where possible, and we will aim to provide a similar or better alternative.
4. Travel Insurance
• Uwezo Adventures is not liable for any costs arising from incidents not covered by your insurance.
5. Health and Safety
• Guests must inform Uwezo Adventures of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or special dietary needs.
• Participants should be in good physical condition and must follow the safety instructions of guides at all times.
6. Responsibilities and Liability
• Uwezo Adventures acts as an agent for hotels, lodges, transport companies, and other service providers. While we take every care in selecting partners, we are not liable for injury, damage, loss, delay, or irregularity resulting from acts or defaults of these third parties.
• Participation in any tour is at the client’s own risk.
7. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
• It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that all necessary travel documents (passports, visas, vaccinations) are valid and in order before departure.
• Uwezo Adventures is not responsible for delays or additional costs due to incomplete travel documents.
8. Complaints
• We value your experience and feedback. Any complaints must be reported to your guide or tour manager immediately, so we can attempt to resolve the issue promptly.
• Formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the tour’s conclusion.
9. Use of Photos and Videos
• Uwezo Adventures may use photos or videos taken during the tour for promotional purposes unless the traveler specifically objects in writing before the tour begins.
10. Governing Law
• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising will be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
