Bavarian Safari: Terms & Conditions
1. Booking and Payment
Reservation: A booking is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a 30% non-refundable deposit.
Final Payment: The remaining balance must be settled at least 30 days prior to the tour commencement date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
Currency: Rates are quoted in USD (International) or BWP (Local). Payments must be made via bank transfer or approved digital payment platforms.
2. Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation by the guest, the following charges apply:
More than 60 days before arrival: Loss of deposit.
30 to 60 days before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
Less than 30 days before arrival: 100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.
Bavarian Safari highly recommends all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.
3. Itinerary Changes
By the Company: While we strive to adhere to the planned itinerary, Bavarian Safari reserves the right to change routes, accommodations, or activities due to weather, safety concerns, or changes in National Park regulations (e.g., Moremi/Okavango Delta water levels).
By the Guest: Any requested changes to the itinerary after confirmation may incur an administrative fee and are subject to availability.
4. Travel Insurance & Health
Mandatory Insurance: All guests are required to have valid travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and personal baggage.
Health: Guests are responsible for ensuring they are fit for travel and have obtained necessary vaccinations (e.g., Malaria precautions are recommended for the Okavango region).
5. Liability and Risk
Nature of Safari: Guests acknowledge that safaris involve travel in wild areas with unpredictable wildlife. Bavarian Safari and its agents are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property.
Botho Principle: We operate with mutual respect. We reserve the right to terminate a tour if a guest's behavior is deemed dangerous or consistently disrespectful to staff, local communities, or the environment.
6. Children Policy
Children are welcome; however, for mobile safaris and specific activities (like mokoro rides), age restrictions may apply based on safety regulations. Please disclose the ages of children at the time of booking.
7. Force Majeure
Bavarian Safari cannot be held liable for delays or cancellations caused by "Acts of God," including floods, fire, pandemics, or government-mandated park closures.
