The SEMADEP Safari camp is located in the Masai Mara and run by the Masai Community. Visit us and enjoy the greatest migration on earth, explore the rolling plains of the world’s finest game park, spot the diverse range of wildlife the Mara has to offer and learn about the way of life of the local Maasai community.
Our camp has two main roles;
Firstly as an income generating project for the SEMADEP NGO. The revenue raised directly benefits the Maasai community of the Sekenani area, as well as sustaining and expanding the camp itself.
Secondly the camp offers the opportunity to see the Maasai Mara with the benefit of experiencing it with the people who have lived in harmony with this amazing area for centuries, who know the animals and terrain as no one else can and who are so comfortable in their environment.
Whether you are on a game drive, experiencing a nature walk or relaxing while reading a book in the campsite you are surrounded by the wonderful sights and sounds of a truly remarkable country.
