Stainbok Adventures Limited is owned by a native Tanzanian, Mr. Gideon Ole Makara. He has a long time experience in tourism industry since 1992 to date. We are based in Arusha and our Offices are located at New Safari Hotel Building which is along Indian Street, 1st Floor Room No: 201.

Gideon Ole Makara has been working as a Mountain Porter, Walking Safari Guide, Mountain Guide to Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru, Oldonyo Lengai (Mountain of God) as the active volcanic mountain at Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Longido Mountain since early 1992. He has also been working towards Walking Safaris to Ngorongoro Highlands, all known Maasai Steeps and Most Town/City Tours including Arusha. Working as a Tour Organizer for different Safari Companies and a Tour Leader in all Tanzania National Parks and Zanzibar is a great experience, he is one among those worked hard towards doing a documentary in 2005 about the Maasai Tribe in Longido, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, as well as guiding a charity group to Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2007.

With his full of experience in flora and fauna and his passionate for his country, he would like to welcome all the tourists intending to visit his lovely country Tanzania, to share with them his experience, the culture of his people “Maasai”, and many more other tribes together with all their tribal adventures.

Stainbok Adventures are specialized in Mountain climbing, Safaris/Tours to all Tanzania National Parks with other not included tourists’ attractions, Zanzibar, Cultural Sites, Major City Tours, Museums and Historical Sites visits. We can always arrange Safaris/Tours to all other attractive site within east Africa on request. Stainbok will also bring you to the coastal part for diving, fishing and boat trips, Snorkeling and many more.

With his excellent knowledge of flora and fauna Gideon will make sure that you will have a trip of life time with a lot to remember and an endless joy, Stainbok will bring you to the beautiful country of Tanzania, makes it easy and brings you closer to meet the lovely people of Tanzania, Maasai, Meru, Chagga and many others whom you will be able to learn their cultures and share their daily life experiences.

Stainbok Adventures supports several local community development projects; please refer to our tree planting project in Iringa Tanzania, as our efforts to conserve environment. It is advisable, where possible to support local people or the projects if any exists, a close stay and experience sharing will always bring such a possibility. Support to these local tribes will always make it better for a next tourist. Along these, the Company supports local primary schools and orphanage Centers.
