Our story began in 2023, when Silas, who as a young guide learned all about the nature,
animals and birds of Tanzania, shared his dream with Jean-Pierre, a Belgian safari guest.
Silas dreamed of his own safari business that would not only provide a future for his
family, but also support his native village of Miririny, in the Meru district.
Together they founded Luwai Tanzania Safaris and the Luwai Foundation. Since then,
the company has stood on its own feet and the foundation has already realized several
projects in Miririny.
