Dear Hans, Derrick and other staff members of High Peaks Expeditions. We again had a pleasant stay in your beautiful country during three weeks exchange program. We found out that you do a hell of a job to make it your visitors as comfortable a possible. Thank you for helping us guiding us and oh, Bashiri the food was excellent.
Keep up the good work, till next time.

Excellent three-day safari to Ngorongoro Wildlife Conservation Area
5/5

My short safari with High Peaks was perfect from all points of view. I arrived in Tanzania in late April and was met by my High Peaks driver, Livingstone, who speaks excellent English and was an informative guide to the flora and fauna we encountered. Because archaeology is one of my interests, we first drove to the Olduvai Gorge where our guide, Ms Chalangi, a university graduate student, gave a thorough explanation of the site first excavated by Louis Leakey and where some of the first traces of early hominids have been found. Then we continued to the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, my hotel for the next two nights, a very good choice for its courteous staff and fabulous views over the Ngorongoro Crater. The next day we visited a Masai village where we were warmly greeted and I was shown the kindergarten building of which the village is rightfully proud. From there we descended into the Ngorongoro Crater and, because the day was sunny and warm, were treated to sightings of nearly all the birds and mammals that romp there, including, I counted them, thirty lions! The last day we drove slowly back to Arusha, passing by the park at Manyara Lake. My guide was always patient with my questions and requests and deserves much credit for the pleasure I got from this safari. The rest of the credit goes, of course, to High Peaks itself and to Hans Kitungu for his clear and prompt responses to all my questions before the trip. He always listened to me and respected my preferences so that we could design a fully satisfying safari according to my interests.
This is what every visitor wants, a flexible, communicative, attentive, and respectful tour operator and staff. I am very happy I found High Peaks.

Just wonderful
5/5

Everything was excellent. The guides the food, the promptness, comfort, communication etc. We climbed MT Kilimanjaro then did a safari with them in Tanzania. The price is good too as they are a local company and don't have the layers of admin costs that they have in Australia US or UK. Thoroughly recommend them.

Excellent
5/5

The communiccation with Hans was good, he made us an excellent offer. We travelled with a very good guide and visited Lake Manyara, Nogorongoro, Serengeti and Tarangire. It was a beautifull week. The lodges were good and our guide pointed out what we missed. Seen such beautifull animals. Excellent. Later we were in Selous and had some wonderfull days there. We think, we are convinced that Hans is well organized and is able to make a difference organising a trip. He is certainly trustworthy. In Zanzibar we made our own choice and he respected the choice, gave free advice. Hans, Thank you for making a dream really true.

Reliable
5/5

We made a great trip to a number of National Parks in September. Our guide Livingstone spoke good English, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Everything went according to plan, nothing went wrong. The financial part was also carefully handled. We can definitely recommend High Peak Expeditions and organizer Hans Kitumbu.

High quality experience
5/5

Communication is key. High peak understands this. Their staff understands this. Everything can be asked and they think in possibilities. In this way it makes the tour bring people together. After the tour it felt like I had a new family. It was a very good experience.

Perfect organization
5/5

We have made a 7 days trekking on the Kilimanjaro following the northern Rongai Route.
We have organised the excursion with the local agency High Peaks Expeditions and everything was perfect organized.
Our guide Dismas Urio has really been a wonderful one: his kindness, professionalism, his sense of leadership, his knowledge, his organization from our arrival at the airport to our departure has made our trekking to the Kilimanjaro a wonderful and an unforgettable experience.
We have appreciated every single moment with him and he has made our experience not only a climbing but a magical trip in the region.
We would like to thank him and the wonderful Team he has organized for our group of 4 people.
Everybody ... everybody of the 17 Staff has really done their best to pamper us, from the wonderful Chef de Cuisine to all porters.
The Rongai Rute is longer then the others routes but has the advantage that there is less people and to give you a good prospective of the region walking up to the Mawensi mountain. The countryside changes every 100 meters of altitude, starting from the raining forest to the alpine desert.
Difficult is the final climbing from 4700 mt to the 5895 mt during the night but … once arrived to the top you can enjoy the view on the top of African continent.

Great tour, lovely people
5/5

Our tour guide was amazing, and knew a lot about the environment and the animals. The tour was exactly what I expected it to be, which is a very positive experience. I would book a tour at High Peaks again for my next visit!
