Excellent experience
While booking our own safari we were frustrated by the lack of reviews on many operators so we wanted to share our experience with Kenan Tours. Overall we give 5 stars as the trip was excellent. The logistics were very well managed and our guide / driver worked extremely hard to make sure we were able to see all of the things we wanted. He literally went the extra mile to ensure we had a great holiday! His experience as a guide made a huge difference throughout the trip in terms of making sure we were in the right place at the right time on the game drives and teaching us about the culture. We also appreciated the flexibility as they were able to modify the plans depending on our timing and the weather (e.g., starting a bit earlier or later, working additional sight seeing into the schedule). Another thing we liked is that Kenan is a Kenyan owned and operated company so there are no middle men and they take great pride in their business. The main people at the company have many years of experience with tour operators and started their own company. They were frequently calling each other and checking in with us to be sure everything was satisfactory. We also noted they had other trips ongoing at the time and after we had left so they are clearly getting some word of mouth references.

amazing safari with experienced guide
we are a french/american couple in our late thirty. we have spent 6 days in kenya for our first safari. we are really happy with our experience with kenan travel & tours.
Everything was really well organised. they even have customised our trip to get the best from the weather (we went to masai mara first, and then lake nakuru and amboseli). our guide/driver was really good, with more than 22 years of experience. He knows all the right place to see the best animals and he is very well connected, which gives us some really good tips to go to the right place.
Lodges and food were excellent.
We are strongly recommended you to use this kenyan operator.

A pleasure with Kenan Travel and Tours
We contacted Kenan Travel and Tours approximately 9 months in advance of our travel dates and requested a quote for a van and driver service for 9 days whilst we travelled to several parks in Kenya.A price was accepted and we made all other arrangements, accomadation and flights, as we had previously travelled in Kenya and felt confident in this format.The Company offered assistance with any queries and at all times responded quickly and was informative in our planning.
We were met at our Hotel in Nairobi at the agreed time and met our representitive from Kenan and our driver for the trip.All arrangements were in order and we travelled to Meru National Park where we spent 3 nights,at Ikweta Camp which is highly recomended.Game drives in Meru were excellent with the Kenan driver beiing very knowlegable and really acting in a guide capacity as well.We also travelled to Lake Nakaru and then on to Masai Mara staying 4 nights at Keekorok Lodge which we would also recommend.Game drives over 3 days proved excellent as we had good sightings of all the big cats plus a number of animals we had not sighted on our previous trip.Again our drivers knowledge was invaluable.
We have found Kenan Travel and Tours to deliver on their agreeemnt and we would highly recommend anyone travelling to this part of Africa to contact them and consider using their services.

Joyful, Powerful and Life Enhancing
Whilst there were a few finance/admin hiccups which proved to be very upsetting and challenging, the safari itself was amazing! 8 different lodges in 16 days. From Nairobi, Loita Plains, Loita Hilla, Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Amboseli, Kilimanjaro, Tsavo West, Tsavo East, Mombasa, Back to Nairobi. Thousands of land miles were covered with complete awe and joy. Elephants, Lions, Wildebeest, Zebras, Buffalo, Rhino, Crocs, Girrafes, Leopards, Cheetahs, Gazelles and, and, and.... birds, the most amazing vegetation, landscape which went to infinity. All breathtaking. And the sky - wow! Day / Night - stars, moon, sunset, sunrise heart lifting.
The safari guides / drivers passionate and knowledgeable about their countries and their animals and land. Kirimi - safari guide/driver was so kind, thoughtful,caring and delighted in sharing his passion and knowledge. The safari lodges and hotels were extraordinary- with the exception of one - I would stay in all of them again. Maji Moto - the cultural eco camp has to be experienced.
When in Kenya and Tanzania - Kenan travel checked that I was okay and made sure that the safari was going well. I was collected on time from the airports and taken to all relevant glorious locations on time and stress free.
The whole experience has been life changing and life enhancing. An authentic adventure.

The ultimate safari experience thanks to a great guide
Our 6-day safari tour wih Kenan Travel & Yours was wonderful. We left from Diani and visited Ambroseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. The different accommodations were lovely, although the lodging at Masai Mara did have a more 'mass-production' feel to it due to the amount of guests. What absolutely defined our trip was the great driving and know-how of our driver Bonnie, who did not only know a lot about the wildlife we encountered, but was also very attentive throughout the trip. (5 stars out of 5)
Our one bit of advice would be to renegiotiate the itinerary if it features a midday lunch in Nairobi with one of the office staff members. With Nairobi traffic we strongly advise you to to steer clear of the city on your way from one park to the next (in our case from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara). You will lose precious time for a potential afternoon game drive; we missed ours (hence the 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5).

Spontaneous one-day trip to Nairobi NP and Elephant Orphanage
I submitted a very spontaneous tour request for the following day to visit the Nairobi NP. Within an hour, everything had been settled for the next day: trip to Nairobi NP and the Elephant Orphanage. The really fair price included pick-up and drop-off at my hotel. As I was the only tour guest that morning, I could enjoy the tour with only the driver and I in the car. Kenantravel even came to my hotel to pick up the money the same day of the request as pre-tour payments are required but it was already too late for a bank transfer.
