Trip of a Lifetime
We recently travelled to Kenya with Kenan Travel, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the very beginning, the trip was carefully tailored to our needs, with a personalised itinerary that maximised our safari time, perfectly matched our flights, and included a relaxing stay on Diani Beach at the end. Every element felt thoughtfully planned, making the entire journey seamless and stress-free.
The pricing structure was another highlight. It was clear, transparent, and flexible, with multiple options provided so we could tailor the trip to suit our budget. This made the planning process straightforward and gave us confidence that we were getting exactly what we wanted.
A special thank you goes to Jane, who managed the trip overall. She was incredibly attentive and responsive, always available on WhatsApp to resolve even the smallest queries instantly—even over the weekend. Her support throughout made a real difference and ensured everything ran smoothly.
Our safari driver, Bill, was absolutely outstanding and deserves particular recognition. His knowledge, professionalism, and passion for wildlife were evident throughout, and his expert driving and positioning played a huge role in us being able to see all of the Big Five. He was also a very safe and reliable driver during transfers between parks and locations, which gave us great peace of mind.
The highlights of some of the animals we saw thanks to Bill’s navigating were black and white rhinos, cheetahs, the great migration in Maasai Mara, two leopards, lion cubs, and lots of elephants!
This trip was especially meaningful for us, as we got engaged during the holiday—and Jane and Bill went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. Jane organised private meals and special evenings at the resorts, adding a real sense of occasion. On the day itself, Bill played a huge part in making the proposal perfect: he helped find a beautiful, secluded spot, kept everything a surprise, and even set up a table with sparkling wine of his own initiative. It was a moment we will never forget.
We cannot recommend Kenan Travel highly enough. Their attention to detail, personalised service, and the exceptional people they have on the ground made this a truly special experience.
We originally found Kenan Travel and Tours through various internet searches, their Tripadvisor, and on various forums. Committing to private companies can sometimes be daunting, particular with such a big purchase, but Kenan are one which you can trust.

Simply Perfect – Look No Further for Your Safari!
There aren't enough words to describe how great the Kenan Travel and Tours Team is! I contacted several operators before booking, and this team was outstanding in every single way. Faith, my contact person, was lovely! She helped me create the perfect itinerary across Nakuru, Mara, Naivasha, Amboseli, and Tsavo, and she did so with endless patience and kindness (100+ emails). The lodges she booked were amazing, with great food and breathtaking views! The safari tour itself was unforgettable thanks to our driver, Paul Juma. He is highly experienced, knowledgeable, very kind, and absolutely amazing at spotting wildlife. Thanks to his expert tracking, we saw not only the Big 5, but also so many other incredible animals, including cheetah, which was the highlight of our tour. I cannot recommend Kenan Travel and Tours highly enough!

Excellent, Flexible Safari with Outstanding Service
I travelled with Kenan Travel on a 9-day group safari in April 2025 and had a fantastic experience from start to finish.
I'd struggled to find a scheduled group safari that matched my dates until I contacted Kenan Travel. Jane was incredibly responsive and arranged exactly the itinerary I was looking for, covering Lake Naivasha, the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Nairobi.
Jane met me in person both before the safari and again afterwards, which was a lovely personal touch. The accommodation was comfortable, the food was excellent, and everything was very well organised.
Our guide, John, was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and always worked hard to make sure we had the best possible wildlife viewing. We saw elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes and many other animals, and he also went out of his way to help me visit a place of personal significance near Nairobi, which I really appreciated.
I felt safe and well looked after throughout the trip, and really enjoyed travelling as part of a small group.
I'd happily recommend Kenan Travel to anyone looking for a friendly, professional and well organised safari in Kenya.

Don't overlook this excellent Tour Operator
I first found this Tour operator on safaribookings.com when searching for a good value tour several years ago and after many email exchanges with Tour manager Jane she came up with exactly what I was looking for which resulted in a memorable fly in safari to Eagle view in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy. It was going to be our final visit to Kenya but within a few years it was obvious the safari bug was still biting so after such good service we once again got in touch with Jane who again came up with an excellent value for money tour, this time with a Nairobi hotel stay and beach extension which we had previously booked ourselves. Eagle view has been renovated for the better since our last visit with luxury facilities added but one thing that hadn't changed was the amazing wildlife. Jane doesn't advertise tours on safaribookings.com at the moment but I would certainly not overlook getting in touch with her for quotes.

Friendly, responsible and committed to quality and customer satisfaction!
Hello we are from Costa Rica and recently we used Kenan Travel for the design of our Safaril. We are so happy that we choose them. I am going to divide the review in two (Jane and Paul).
Jane was our contact in kenan, and she was amazing, excellent communication skills, very patient and she always explain with every detail all the proposals, and very good reponse time.
Paul was our guide in Kenya, he was very friendly, he knows the Parks, and he knows how to find the animals ans get to the best Spots.
He is constantly trying to give you a Good service and trying to usderstand what are your goals for the day.
If I ever comeback to África I Will definetly contact Jane and I Will ask for Paul as a guide!!!
One last thing Kenan not just give us all than they promise but at the end the gave us a very nice and unespected upgrade in our last park!!
We are so happy, our Safari was all that we wished!!

Amazing experience!!
We used Kenan Travel and Tours for our honeymoon trip and we are so glad we did! We were able to visit the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli, finishing our trip at Diani Beach. Kenan took care of everything. We originally decided to go with this company due to the itinerary they put together for us, their prompt responses via email, and the abundance of 5 star reviews. They were so easy to work with when planning our trip, making sure we had the best itinerary. They offered us 2 different hotel options for each location for us to choose from. When doing research on the hotels, I found that one offered a hippo breakfast and a romantic dinner. I asked Kenan about adding those to our trip, and they did so without a problem; we were also able to request a suite at one of the hotels that Kenan booked for us. They also helped answer all of my questions (I had many) between when we booked our trip last summer and when we went on our trip this July. They were super responsive via email, usually responding to me the next day. They shared information on what to pack, how to tip, and more.
When we arrived in Kenya, we were greeted by Jane who also met us at the end of our trip. All of our transfers were smooth and everyone we worked with was fantastic. Everything was a breeze working with Kenan! Our guide, George, was phenomenal! He has a great eye for spotting the animals and made sure we had the best opportunities to see the animals. George also took the time to teach us about Kenyan culture and answered every question we posed. We couldn't imagine our trip with any other guide!
Overall, we highly recommend anyone visiting Kenya to use Kenan for their trip. In my research, I did not find any itineraries as varied as the one we had with Kenan, being able to visit 4 distinct areas in Kenya during our 8-day trip. Communication was easy and smooth, and they were a delight to work with! Thank you, Kenan Travel and Tours!
A Truly Incredible Safari with Kenan Travel and Tours
We had the most amazing experience with Kenan Travel and Tours. From start to finish, everything was seamless, professional, and full of personal touches that made the trip truly unforgettable.
Jane was our main contact and she was outstanding. From the first WhatsApp call to helping with payment, meeting us at the airport when we arrived, and even coming to see us off before we left Kenya, she went above and beyond.
Our itinerary took us to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara. We chose a budget package, so we expected basic accommodation, but every place we stayed was clean, comfortable, friendly, and had plenty of good food. As a lovely surprise, we were upgraded for one part of the trip, which added a bit of unexpected luxury.
Our safari driver John was another highlight. While other drivers rushed around and got too close to the animals, John took a calmer, more experienced approach. He knew exactly where to position us to get the best sightings without disturbing the wildlife. Thanks to him, we had unforgettable close-ups with lions, elephants, rhinos (black and white), leopards, hyenas, and so many others.
The safari vehicle was spacious and perfect for game drives, with big windows, a pop-up roof, and cold water available whenever we needed it.
Paying was easy and secure. We sent a small test transfer first, Jane confirmed it instantly, and then we sent the balance with total confidence. Everything was handled professionally.
Kenan Travel and Tours are certified by the Kenyan Tourist Board and they really do go the extra mile. We’re already planning our next adventure with them in 2026, including gorilla trekking in Uganda and beach time in Zanzibar.

Jane went above & beyond our expectations!
We had an incredible experience working with Jane from Kenan Travel in Nairobi! From start to finish, Jane went above and beyond to make sure our trip was seamless and unforgettable. She arranged everything for our safari in the Maasai Mara as well as our beach getaway to Diani, and every detail was handled perfectly.
Jane was always available to answer our many questions, and when we decided to extend our stay in Diani, she was incredibly flexible and helpful in rearranging our plans. What truly stood out was her personal dedication—she stored our extra luggage and even hand-delivered it to our hotel after the safari!

A trip of a lifetime
I cannot say enough good things about Kenan Travel and Tours. My interest in taking a Kenyan safari was triggered by a reasonably priced tour I saw, but upon researching the company I found their reviews lacking. A search for a Nairobi-based company led me to Kenan, whose reviews were outstanding. I was not disappointed, and I can say everything involved with the eventual safari I took with them was top-notch.
The planning stage was professional and smooth. When I contacted Kenan by email, I gave them a rough idea of what I would like to do. They responded in a timely fashion with an itinerary for a 10-day safari with some options in lodging and with a cost for my private tour that was very reasonable. For all the questions I had leading up to the trip (mosquitoes, vaccinations, tipping, etc), Leah was very timely with her responses. When time came for the safari to begin, I was met at the airport by the owner Jane, who gave me a rundown on how the trip would go. Jane also met me at the airport when the safari was completed to get my feedback on how the safari went. All very friendly and professional.
I also cannot say enough good things about my driver Nelson. I was at ease with Nelson from the get go. He had a good sense of humor, and proved experienced, knowledgeable, and informative. Above all, he had a strong desire to see I had the best safari ever. We started off down the road as he was my driver and I was his guest, but in no time we were traveling as friends. The animals we saw, the conversations we had, made this an incredible adventure and I cannot thank Nelson enough.

Superb Service
The agency gives great experience in safaris. We connected with Jane and her speedy response to everything is one of the best things about her. She booked best of the properties within limited time given it was December. All our requests and expectations were met. Paul the guide provided is an expert in safaris, very knowledgeable and kind. We had a wonderful time exploring the jungles with Paul. I would definitely recommend this company for a great adventure.
