We found RA Safaris to be attentive, caring, diligent and professional.
Our friends who were knowledgeable about Tanzania provided a couple of safari companies for my wife and I to choose from and we were quite pleased with RA Safaris. The owner Zeph takes a strong interest in his business and made sure all was in order prior to, during and upon tour completion. This was a private tour 1 day Tarangire, two days Central Serengeti, 2 days northern Serengeti, 1 day Ngorongoro and one at Manyara. Accommodations at the camps and lodges were great. Pickup at the airport 5AM was terrific and transport to the airport well done.
Many animals seen including and beyond the big 5. It is amazing how the animals pay little to no mind of the Safari vehicles - especially the lions. In fact the lions prefer to use the shade of the Safari vehicles.
A herd of elephants chose to move from their chomping of grass and passed in front of our vehicle. The matriarch stopped about 10 feet in front of our vehicle, turned and faced us with a slight foot stomp. After studying us and determined all was good, she turned and moved with the herd.
Giraffes, zebras, antelope, gazelles, wildebeests and others were quite plentiful and beautiful to behold in nature.
We were exceptionally fortunate to witness three migration wildebeest crossings in a single day. A crocodile did take down a rather large wildebeest. That was fascinating to see but of course with mixed feelings.
If you select RA Safaris you will have choices for your first night stay before the safari. We strongly recommend Moivaro Lodge. Great food in a rustic setting. Wonderful place.
All in all, we give RA Safaris a 5 star rating. Wonderful caring owner and Staff.

Though, great communication, we were definitley taken care of, amazing adventure
We want to praise RA Safari for a life-changing experience!!
We just got home from a personalized 23day safari visiting Kenya and Tanzania that was coordinated by RA Safari.
We saw the big 5 multiple times in the Massai Mara and northern/central Serengeti, watched the wildebeest crossing of the Mara, saw pink flamingos and Rino at Lake Nakuru, got up-close with hippos in Lake Naivasha, and observed Jane Goodall’s chimps in Gombe. We concluded with a “blue safari” and swimming with dolphins in Nungiwi, Zanzibar. AMAZING!!
Zeph(owner) and his son met us on the first night in Nairobi. They welcomed us with traditional Massai blankets/dress wear. Eric(coordinator) and his crew helped us through customs/proof of vaccinations/proof of Tanzania insurance at the Kenya/Tanzania border. At the border, there were multiple lines we had to go through; Eric’s help made the process seamless. Eric and the driver took us to the hotel, and the next morning Zeph and our new guide met us at breakfast.
When we got to Zanzibar Island the RA representative, Misamidi, was constantly checking in with us and he met us multiple times along the way
RA Safari was not going to let us get lost
I can not say enough about our fabulous guides.
Dunkin took us all through Kenya. He is an amazing kind man. He knew roads and locations in Massai Mara and Lake Nakuru that seemed to be private. He also arranged a boat ride on Lake Naivasha (it was not part of our original tour). We totally enjoyed the hour boat ride around the lake learning about the wildlife and culture of the local people.
Our second major guide was Johnson. Johnson is an excellent teacher. He taught us about the animals, culture, and history of Tanzania. We were with Johnson for 7days and we enjoyed every moment with him.
It was obvious that each of our guides (two major and several minor guides) loved their jobs and countries. Each of them wanted us to enjoy our safari and their country while in their care. Zeph(owner) and Eric (coordinator) had everything planned meticulously.:
Lodging: Each of our locations had unique lodging. Lodging varied from bush tents with animals roaming the grounds, a tree house tent, a quaint little historic hotel, and a very nice resort hotel. We always had great food, a real bed, hot water, shower and a toilet. Most had spectacular views. We always had beautiful sunrises/sunsets.
Highlights of our trip: wildebeest crossing the Mara, 75-100 elephants crossing right in front of our jeep in Amboseli, boat ride on Lake Naivasha, proximity to so many cats (saw a pride of 24+) in the Serengeti, snorkeling and swimming with dolphins, beautiful beach time in Nungiwi Zanzibar. All of it was amazing and life changing!!
. Asante sanas!😊
