Adventure made easy with Speke Uganda Holidays
5/5

This was our second time using Speke Uganda Holidays and once again they did not disappoint. We typically don't use tour operators when we travel, except when doing wildlife/safari tours. But we were greeted at the airport by our guide and he made sure we had everything we needed from that point until our tour was complete. The safari tour was fantastic and we learned a lot about the culture and history of Uganda from Husein. He anticipated our needs and stopped along the way to pick up local delicacies for us to try - fruits, grasshoppers, etc. And the accommodations selected by Speke were top-notch. We fell in love with the country on this trip. We'd recommend the company to anyone traveling to Uganda.

We got more than we expected!
5/5

Me and my husband spent 10 days travelling around in Uganda with our fantastic guide David (the master of avoiding potholes and bumps). He took really good care of us and he taught us a lot about the Ugandan culture, politics and lifestyle. Everything went smooth without any problems. We saw all the animals we expected to see and maybe a few more. We can warmly recommend Speke Uganda Holidays!

Unforgettable journey with best organisation - we will never forget it!
5/5

We visited Uganda for three weeks over Christmas and New Year. We had a great time there with Speke Uganda Holidays and our different guides. It was a combined tour: We hiked through the Ruwenzoris during the first week and then enjoyed the country for two weeks on a leisurely safari through the beautiful national parks. Johnson and Andrew were our guides on the trek through the Rwenzori Mountains, which was culminating in the successful ascent of Margherita Peak. Without these two, we would not have reached the top. Many thanks to them and to our great chef and our helpful porters.
Our safari, which we did with friends, was super organized. We had wonderful accommodations. The gorilla trecking was one of the best experiences ever! Our driver guide on safari, Hamidu, told us a lot about life and people of Uganda. He was more a friend then a guide for us and we had a lot of fun together.
Many thanks to Speke Uganda Holidays for this wonderful trip! We enjoyed it very much and we will come back - to climb the Mount Elgon with Hamidu :-)

Totally worth it
5/5

We did a two week tour of 6 of Uganda's National Parks with Speke Uganda in Dec'17 and would totally recommend them.
Prompt replies over the e-mail, Mitze made sure she addressed all our queries in a timely manner and addressed all of our concerns.
Our guide and driver , Hamid was very knowledgeable and was an excellent "animal spotter" - He knew his way across these parks and went out of his way to ensure we had a good time.
Thank you Speke Uganda for showing us your beautiful country.

Thanks,
Yuvi & Kim

Incredible!!
4/5

Speke Uganda Holidays was very easy to work with and they were able to accommodate my aggressive itinerary. They were always quick to respond to my questions and concerns. My guide Peter was amazing and he went out of his way to make sure that I saw as much as possible. He was very knowledgeable and I had a great time! All but one of the lodges were fabulous with all of the amenities and they were located in beautiful locations. There was one issue, but Tony the owner of company, made sure he personally took care of it.

I would highly recommend this company the are both very professional and reputable.

There was one issue with the transportation, but Tony was able to

Every thing worked how a tourist could wish it in a country like Ugand, Ruanda.
5/5

We had a very good guide with Paul and a very nice driver with Moses. Both gave us savety, help, informations, safarispots, fotospots, happy and friendly time together. Lodges were all very nice, but we wished to have good roomsaves available. Safari was wonderful, also off course the gorilla trekks. We hope they have a good future and also the whole nationalparks with landscape and other animals alwell. But also we wish the best to all the lovely people we met in Uganda and Ruanda. It was a wonderful holiday. Thank you all!

Great experience in Uganda and Ruanda
4/5

We had a great time and lots of interesting and amazing animal encounters in both countries. The tour plan is super. We have never been so close to Rhinos like in Ziwa. Murchison Falls is a must - especially the walk up the falls is amazing. Queen Elisabeth NP also had some surprise – a herd of elephants at Kazinga channel and tree climbing lions very close. Our first Chimp trekking in Kibale was not successful, but we got a second chance and the encounter was amazing. We also had good luck in two Gorilla trekkings. Although the first one in Bwindi was quite hard (7 hours and very steep slopes) but impressive. Contrary, in Volcanoes it was like a Sunday afternoon stroll. We met the gorillas in a clearing playing and eating all the time – amazing to observe!
Due to our local guide who spoke excellent German we had the possibility to get in contact with local people and their culture and traditions easily. So we learnt a lot about the daily life in Uganda.
Both countries are a great spot for safaris and not so crowed. They can easily compete with Kenia, Tansania and other hot spots. I prefer these smaller places!

Uganda Tour
4/5

Very well organised. Hamid, our driver, was excellent. Very polite, well spoken, considerate and always on time. He tried to accomodate any small changes we wanted to make en-route and was very familiar with the roads, almost to last pothole. He seemed to have a very good rapport with other tour guides and with game reserve staff which made a big difference to our experience. The only slight problem we had was with the baggage. We probably had too much and some of it had to come in the interior seating area which made it a little crowded, but Hamid did everything he could to ensure our luggage was properly secured on the rood and protected with canvas and the rest was properly stored inside.
The itinerary was a little tight and we missed doing a couple of things which we would have liked to. Had Speke suggested a couple of extra days, we would have considered it.
Overall, would highly recommend Speke Uganda Holidays.

An unforgettable trip with loads of fun
4/5

Let me come straight to the point: I had a wonderful trip and enjoyed every minute of it! I loved the scenery and the wildlife and I loved life unfolding itself in the villages and small towns.
Even though - and, yes, I do have some reservations - we found that the programme was a bit too full, especially at the beginning of our safari. Here we were, pale Europeans, trying to forget about having to watch the time from morning till night - and what did we have to do?? Live by the clock - from morning till night!!!
Another criticism I would like to get off my chest is the fact that the trip was rather expensive. Just to give you one example of where we did not receive value for money is the packed lunches we got from the lodges which were way too expensive.
But - as I said before - I loved the trip, not least because of the great company I had in our car with our competent, kind and knowledgeable guide and driver, Michael, who took those long, exhausting days on the roads in his stride and made sure we arrived safe and sound. Thank you!
