Gorilla Trek
5/5

We had a great time on the tour trekking for gorillas, which was organised through Kombi Nation Tours. The planning process was fairly straight forward, with lots of useful information provided. The staff were excellent at answering questions and providing prompt email responses. The driver for the tour was friendly and safe, which was reassuring! Overall a very professional operator, which is reasonably priced and provided a good service.

Professional, friendly and knowledgeable service with excellent attetion to detail
5/5

We had a fantastic experience with Kombi. Right from the outset, Steve and Rachel were helpful and attentive, taking on board our requirements and budget and coming up with an itinerary that suited us. There was no question too big or small and the pre-departure information was very thorough. Our guide, Archie, and driver, Robert, were knowledgable and friendly and made everything very easy for us from the moment they picked us up. We knew they were always there if we needed a hand and that they were also happy to give us some space which suited us as that is how we like to travel. The itinerary ran smoothly, nothing was left to chance and no corners were cut. Accomodation and food far exceeded our expectations and we felt that we got real value for money. The gorilla trekking was spectacular, once in a lifetime!
I would wholeheartedly recommend Kombi for great value for money and high professional standards. I've been on alot of tours all over the world and this one in Uganda really stood out for all the right reasons. We only had a short time in Uganda so it really made all the difference to have all of the details looked after for us so that we could enjoy the beautiful country that is Uganda. Travelling with a small company who are very invested in their work and in the communities was very important to us - it felt as much like a friendship as a client-customer relationship. We felt that we were saying farewell to true friends when Archie and Robert dropped us off at Entebbe.

Far exceeded all expectations.
5/5

From the moment we contacted Kombi Nation Tours until the time we were dropped at our hotel at the end of the safari, our experience with Kombi Nation Tours was unprecedented. We had done some previous research and were immediately impressed by the prices Kombi Nation Tours quoted us, in comparison to other tour operators.

The personalized customer service we recieved during the planning phase was remarkable. The represenative we worked with was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough; she was very precise and was committed to ensuring that our itinerary included all of the aspects we wanted.

Our guide was extremely experienced. His attention to detail, demonstrated compentence and friendly demeanor added so much value to our trip. We were able to sit back and enjoy, without having to worry about a thing! All of our accommodations, activities and excursions were outstanding and very well organized. This was my third safari trip in Africa and it was by far, the best!

Kombi Nation Tours Highland Lakes Tour
5/5

From our initial enquiry, right up to the tour, and beyond, the communication and planning with Kombitours was efficient and hassle free. They gave excellent advice on what to bring and what to expect. The tour itself more than lived up to our expectations.
Our driver Isaac was friendly, reliable and knowledgeable, and went out of his way to show us interesting sights along the way to our destinations. He made sure we stopped regularly on our long journeys and always chose great places for meal stops. The vehicle was comfortable and well maintained.
We went for the budget tour option, and were pleasantly surprise by the lovely places we stayed at both Lake Bunyoni and Lake Mutanda. The community eco lodge at Lake Mutanda was really special- beautiful wooden bandas raised up above the lake, with great views from the balcony, wonderful food, and a campfire every night. The staff there were particularly friendly and we loved that 40% of the profits go back into the local community.
The activities on the tour were great, with just the right mix of things to do, and downtime to swim, relax and explore on our own. We particularly enjoyed the tour of the islands of Lake Bunyoni, and birdwatching on Lake Mutanda.
Overall we had a brilliant time, Uganda is a beautiful country with alot to offer for a holiday, and we would recommend Kombi Nation Tours unreservedly.

Nothing left to chance
5/5

If you want to go on a safari that doesn't pay attention to detail then don't choose Kombu Tours because they plan for everything. We went to the Mucheson Falls National Park and had an outstanding time. Our guide Isaacs was brilliant and showed us all the animals we wanted to see and some like the snake that we weren't! Our 4x4 was ideal and offered great views and our 5 year old daughter really loved being close to the animals especially the lions. We chose the tent option at the lodge which was fun (apart from the mossies) and the other guests were really friendly and the staff superb.

Great 3 day trip to Murchison Falls
5/5

The trip was well organized and even the "budget accommodation" was excellent. Kombi was very easy to work with and quick to respond to questions. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Kombi Tours. 8 wonderful days in Africa!
5/5

We did the works - from Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth to see the Gorillas. Prior to the trip, I was able to get timely and accurate information as I adjusted and personalized our trip. Steve and Rachel were very helpful and did not nickel and dime me for the changes. Having the meals included was wonderful. I would honestly, skip the packed lunches unless you check them out first. Other than that - the food was great. On the first day that we met Isaac, he was 10 minutes early!!! That was a great relief. The entire trip he was exceedingly prompt. Uganda is very different in many ways including the roads and driving. Isaac - a very skilled driver was very good at navigating the traffic quickly and safely. His knowledge and humor really added to the experience. Uganda is definitely a place to visit and Kombi is a great company to travel with.

Nat-Geo but close encounter
5/5

We would like to thank you for this awesome experience we had. you made it possible for Jonelle and I to see the true Africa and fall in love with Uganda. We liked it very much and also we would like to thank Isaac for his patience and perfect management of our trip. It was truly Nat Geo experience but closer to over 10 animal species.

For sure this won't be our last safari tour with Kombi Nation Tours. I would recommend Kombi Nation Tours to everyone that wants to experience Pearl of Africa Uganda and become one with nature

The Pearl of Tour Operators - a fantastic roundtrip in a wonderful country
5/5

Last September two friends and myself went to Uganda for 15 days with Kombi Nation Tours. It's been one of the most exciting trips of my life, also thanks to this wonderful organisation.

Pre-departure: setting op the itinerary. I completely read through two travel guides on Uganda so I more or less knew what we wanted to do. I gave them the info on how many days I would want to spend in which National Park / ... Rachel and Benjamin returned very swiftly with a very detailed itinerary and advise on which extra options we would like to take. We negotiated a bit about the itinerary, as they were very flexible, understanding about our budget and always extremely friendly in their mails. 5/5

Our driver Frank was a very skilled driver (which is required on the difficult terrains) and a very friendly and funny guy, who really wanted to get the most out of the trip for us. We also didn't have any problems with the car (except for one flat tire, which Frank repaired), and it was very comfortable and spacey (and pop-up roof, requirement for safaris!) During our trip Rachel & Benjamin also called us to see if everything was going OK, if we liked the activities, etc. 5/5

The housing they provided was above expectations, and the food even more. The activities we did were all very unique and enriching. We started off by going to Queen Elisabeth NP, where we did some game drive, crater drive, boat trip, Kyambura Gorge walk. After that we went to the Rwenzori Mountains for five days (with the organization Rwenzori Trekking Services, which I really recommend as well), to take a stop near Kibale afterwards. The last we did was Murchison Falls, again with some boat trips, game drives and walks. 5/5

All this we got for a very acceptable price (especially when compared to other tour operators). So if you're looking for an affordable, flexible and fulfilling journey through Uganda, I can fully recommend Kombi Nation Tours.

Fantastic!
5/5

I wanted to do something special for my partner’s birthday who was flying in from France to spend a couple of weeks in Kampala. Murchison seemed like a relaxing option to spend away from the hot dusty city. Having organised a stressful trip to Kidepo National Park in 2012 by myself, I wanted someone else to do the planning this time. We had a budget in mind and some rough ideas of how we wanted to spend the two days. Once we communicated this to Kombi Nation Tours, we sat back and relaxed as they took care of everything.
From start to finish, everything went like clockwise. Steve our tour operator kept in constant contact with us prior to the trip. He gave us several price options within our budget and managed to include all the activities and game drives we wanted to do. The driver provided by Kombi Tours was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Murchison River Lodge, where we stayed, was an absolute dream. The food, accommodation and vista were excellent. I wanted a relaxing trip where I did not have to plan or worry about anything. Kombi Nation Tours delivered this and much more. Thank you Rachel and Steve for organising such a wonderful trip!
