No detail spared! Excellent work from planning to professional to outstanding accommodations.
5/5

It's rare that I have no reservations about a trip plan. Kombi tours made all organization here seamless, gave us a clear run-down of all options we had, advised us well, then ran the trip from beginning to end smoothly. Accommodations were beyond my expectations, and I recommend staying an additional day beyond your tour just to spend times around the lodge. Byron, our driver, was superb, kind, knowledgeable. Take this trip if you can! Really splendid!

Day fishing trip on Lake Victoria from Entebbe
5/5

The complete experience was unbelievable - the reception at the bay, the boat and equipment, drinks was cold and more than sufficient for a whole day fishing.

The guides was great although I fish regularly this was my first time fishing for Nile Perch and I managed to catch a 13, 10 and 8 kg in one day and a few smaller fish.

I can definitely recommend Kombi Tours and the guys from Wild Frontiers - they know the lake very well and just listen to the guides and I am sure you will have success.

Fantastic tour by a knowledgable company
5/5

We toured the west of Uganda with Kombi Nation Tours and had an excellent, flawless tour. Rachel and Steve who run the company both live in Kampala and know the locations inside out so they can tailor the trip perfectly to your needs. We were travelling with a toddler and Rachel took our safety really seriously and found the best lodges, car, driver etc to suite our needs.
We had some excellent activities on our trip which were recommended by Rachel. The first was the predator tracking in Queen Elizabeth NP, where you have one of the research team join your safari drive and you track the lions by their collars. You're allowed to go off road with them so we saw 18 lions up close and learnt much more about their behaviour than on a standard drive. The second was the 'surprise' sundowner where we were met on a beautiful lookout in Ishasha with a full bar and canapés!
While planning the tour we had great information from Kombi Nation and tweaked the tour as we wanted. During the tour Rachel checked in with our driver Frank daily and they solved any minor issues (things like route changes due to the weather).
The lodges chosen were all brilliant. We were really impressed with the food and service, our highlights were Ishasha Wilderness Camp and Rwakobo Rock. Rachel visits them all regularly so knows which are run well and where there are management changes.
Overall a wonderful 10day tour!

Wonderful experience
5/5

We found KombiNation Tours while searching for Budget-Safaris to Queen Elisabeth National Park. And we were glad we did find them. Everything was perfect: we booked pretty short term, but everything went of without a hitch. The accomodations were wonderful, we loved the activities, especially the boatlaunch was simply amazing.
Rachel and Steve (whom we met shortly) are very friendly and advised us very well. All in all it was a great experience and absolutly recommendable

I enjoyed every minute of my days around Uganda, partially because of the incredible service
5/5

I was looking forward to going around Uganda and every expectation was satisfied. The services were very good in all the hotels. The driver was very helpful everyday and took care of every detail so we were able to relax and enjoy the landscape. Everyone in the safaris went out of their ways to help us and make us feel at home

Exceeded All My Expectations
5/5

There are tours that meet your expectations of having a great experience, and there are tours that exceed them by giving you the opportunity to have an incredible life-changing experience. Kombi Nation Tours definitely offered me the latter and I was impressed with every aspect of the tour and coordination: the way the trip was organized, the diligent collaboration, the friendly staff, and the effort that went into ensuring I was able to see the wildlife and landscape I had dreamed of visiting. Thank you, Kombi Nation Tours, for making my dreams a reality!

Excellent value for money - 3 day Murchison Falls NP safari
5/5

My wife and I did this 3 day safari only a few days ago. Kombi Tours were very helpful, sending us many documents with all kinds of information about how the trip would be, what our itinerary would be and how to prepare etc.

Our drive, Tom, was thoroughly professional and took care of everything for us. He picked us up at a backpacker hotel in Kampala and even drove us back to our place elsewhere in Kampala when the safari was over.

While the safari sounds short, you will see a lot in those 3 days. The park is packed with herds of Uganda Kobs, Hartebeests, waterbucks, water buffalo, hippos, elephants, giraffes, baboons, warthogs... we saw two lions next to an eaten antelope carcass trying to digest, we saw tons of elephants, they even crossed the road and approached the car... the baboons and warthogs you can get super close to at the river crossings.

Of course all manner of birds... guinea fowl, vultures...hundreds of different species.

If you are lucky you can also see leopard and shoebill stork.

We took the rhino tour and that was very special. Is it worth 90 USD for two..? Hard to say, but it is an experience and the money goes towards the breeding of these animals which they hope to reintroduce to the NP in about 10 years, followed by introduction to other NP's in Uganda.

The lodgings (tent inside of a straw roofing) were very comfortable, the food was excellent as well.

Of course, the boat ride to the bottom of the falls, and the drive up to the top of the falls the day after, were spectacular.

Ok so while Murchison Falls isn't Serengeti / Masai Mara, which are the pinnacle NP's (my impression from reading), you also pay much, much less for for this one, and I definitely recommend it whole heartedly, because we had a great time. I think the price is very reasonable!

Gorilla trekking!!
5/5

Highly recommend Kombi Nation Tours for gorilla trekking! We had such a lovely trip! All the planning went really smoothly with quick response on both email and phone from Rachel and Steve at the office. Our driver Frank picked us up on time and kept us entertained on the long drive to Bwindi. It was an awesome experience to see the gorillas and we would highly recommend using this company.

First class service
5/5

All of the communication from headoffice was personalised to suit our requriements. Then from the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off, the service from Kombi was fantastic. Our guide was super flexible to our requests, yet made sure we saw all the animals as he was super knowledgeable - both of the animals and of all the other guides! We got such first class treatment every day. I couldnt recommend them more.

Well organised and executed safari trip
5/5

We travelled from Kampala to Kigal, Rwanda via Queen Elizabeth national park, lake Bunyonyi and gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenatrable national park. We were a group of 4 24/25 year old males.

Kombi did a fantastic job and exceeded all of our expectations and indeed we would be hard pressed to find anything that disappointed us about the trip. It was well organised from the initial contact and tailoring of the tour through to the execution of the trip. Our tour guide was great and a real asset to the team - he calmly helped us through our travels and ensured that we made the most of it all.

All in all - an excellent experience thanks to Kombi. We would recommend them wholeheartedly.
