Bernhard was an excellent guide and shared his extensive knowledge and experience with us.
5/5

Bernhard is an excellent guide and showed that he knew the park and the animals extremely well.He freely shared his knowldge and took us to all parts of the park.He also distinguished himself from the other rangers by providing personalised service (teas and coffees) and allowed us use of his binoculars. He is highly recommended and I will not hesitate to use him again! Well done Bernhard!!

Terrific Safari, Great Experience and Knowledge, Great Pictures
5/5

My wife and I had a tremendous safari with PKS. We saw every animal you could imagine (and some that we had no idea existed), while in the comfort of PKS' open-air (but sun-protected) SUV, and learned enough to fill many books about animals, their habitat and habits, bird species, etc. The Bekker brothers take care of every step of your trip, and are at your service the whole way. We were up before dawn to maximize our animal viewing time, they knew all the most likely spots to see interesting sightings and are your "insiders" to the park. They always made sure we were comfortable in our rooms, with food and drink, and led us to see and do whatever we wanted. Would highly recommend.

In addition, they provided us with dozens of great pictures of our experience, as they are both skilled photographers. They added shots that we struggled to get with our own camera, and then shared them with us immediately after the safari. This was a great bonus.

Highly Recommended !!Great drives with experienced and very friendly guides !!
5/5

In April 2015 I stayed 5 nights in the Kruger Park ,doing every day safaris starting 6 o clock in the morning.
It was a bit hard ,to get up 5 times at 530 , but well worth it !! We had beautiful sightings due
to the excellent knowledge of my guides Bernhard and Hennie, and we had the occasional luck you need to see very
rare animals. The overall service was perfect, I was picked up at Skukuza airport, very convenient, everything was explained in
detail to me and I could come up with own wishes / requests at any time .Great picnics with fresh prepared
food, it was very comfortable and the overall atmosphere in the car was friendly and highly professional !!
I have been quite a few times to Kruger Park before , but these drives were the best days / drives I ever had
in Kruger !! After the trip, I received great photos of my wildlife sightings , the fine memories are still alive !!

If money permits , I will return in next years September !!

Incredible One Day Private Kruger Safari
5/5

Where to begin... Our Private One day Kruger National Park Safari, was absolutely incredible. It began by seeing two lions who had just caught breakfast and were eating it near to the side of the road, and a leopard with a baby cub just a few metres down from the Lions! We saw all of the big five and got so close to a Rhino and Cheetah that words couldn't even describe our excitement at seeing these beautiful animals so up close and personal.

Bernhard our Guide was unbelievable... We honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide, his knowledge of Kruger was impressive and not just of the animals, but the vegetation's and plantation throughout the park. The guides have radios so they are able to communicate and tell each other when they have found certain animals which those on there own drives wouldn't know or be able to see as Bernhard had the most amazing eye for seeing animals that we would never have seen on our own! Bernhard has a huge passion for photography and so does my partner so he really does have the eye for getting those unforgettable pictures and my partner was incredibly grateful for this. Unfortunately our battery ran out after seeing some lions mating and Bernhard offered his camera to my partner to take photos and even SENT us the photos a few days later!! Amazing.

Thank you so much Bernhard for making our first trip to Kruger so unforgettable and allowing us to see all of the big 5 and getting so up close and personal with them, it's a trip we will never ever forget so Thank you, you're doing a great job!

Safari adventure - an outstanding experience!!!!
5/5

On the 18th of November 2015 I Mrs Pauline Ledwaba and my friend Mrs Cecilia Kekana visited the Kruger National Park. We had prior made online bookings with the Private Kruger Safaris for a morning tour. The friendly and full of respect man in the name of Bernhard collected us at the bed and breakfast we were accommodated at early in the morning on our way to the Kruger National Park. He drove us throughout the Park, guiding us with so much knowledge. As it was rainy, we were provided with raincoats and the service was excellent. As pensioners, we had a great time and were greatly treated by this gentlemen until he drove us back to the accommodation. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality Bernhard!!!!!

We had an amazing time in Kruger Park. Arno is an excellent guide. He gave us loads of fascinating facts about the animals. We spent two days in the park and saw it all: lions, elephants, rhinos, zebras etc…
Highly recommended.

Best Safari day ever!
5/5

Wonderful guides with THE best knowledge about the park's animals and good places to spot them. Keen to make sure the customer enjoys the trip and with a personal love and interest for the animals, they will do everything possible to ensure an experience of a lifetime. If there are animals around, those guys WILL find them. I'll never make a visit to Kruger without them again.

Wow! What a Trip!!
5/5

Having been to Mana Pools, ZM (twice) on safari, I was a bit underwhelmed when my sister and sis-in-law invited me to join their intrepid group of safari newbies on a trip to Kruger N.P. The thought of sitting all day in a 4 x 4, without getting out and about on foot made me pessimistic about this trip.

It was with this preconception that I reached Skukuza and made contact with P.K. Safaris – well, Bernhard Bekker, Proprietor….and Hennie, his assistant and younger brother to be exact.

What I experienced over the next 5 days all but blew away the preconceived notions that I had arrived with!
These guys were awesome! They were great guides, knowledgeable about local wildlife and viewing conditions. They knew the areas extremely well, were obviously well connected with other fellow professionals – there was a continuous two-way flow of information re: wildlife sightings – which meant that they were able to rapidly deploy to these specified locations, enabling our group to see and experience some truly memorable moments. Up until this trip, my long standing disappointment had been that I had been unable to see leopards and cheetahs in their natural environment…. whilst the cheetah still remains elusive, the Bekkers (and PK Safaris!) managed to get us to seven different leopard encounters! Truly outstanding moments include:
• a stalking leopard lying in wait in a bush near a waterhole…. for unsuspecting impala to come to the water’s edge…we held our collective breaths for an attack – which unfortunately did not materialise (the wind changed and the spooked impala bolted)! Notwithstanding this, the drama of the situation was rewarding in itself, not to mention the numerous photographs it generated
• a leopard that had dragged a fresh impala kill up a tree…and proceeded to gorge itself in full view of this awestruck group…!
Apart from multiple sightings of small prides of lions, Bernhard and Hennie also contrived to serve us not one, but two encounters with separate pairs of mating lions!

I am an amateur wildlife photographer, with some experience behind me….and it quickly became apparent that Bernhard was an expert photographer himself. He shared his expertise with me, and my less experienced fellows unselfishly, and with equal enthusiasm… If any of us required a different viewing angle – or needed to repeat a botched shot – it was never too much…these guys moved those vehicles to optimal or desired positions….and their Nissan off roaders are fitted with gimbals (GimPro equipment) which long lens enthusiasts will see as a huge bonus!

In addition to the above, we managed a surfeit of giraffe and Kudu, a smattering of sable, nyala and bush buck, blue wildebeest, wonderful trysts with a Variable Sunbird, lilac breasted rollers, saddle billed and marabou storks, fish eagles, a gymnogene, bateleurs, a tawny eagle, and snake eagles….and many elephants (the place was awash with them!) …. not to mention the (black and white) rhino sightings!

Last but not the least, Bernhard and Hennie are great fun! Self-deprecating wit, acerbic humour, and an awfully good thick skin to be the butt of a joke – they had these traits in big dollops, ensuring a hilarious few days! AND…. they serve a great braai!!

I give this outfit 5 Big Stars! I heartily recommend them to any who read this…. You will not regret hiring them for your safari trip and game drives!

Here’s wishing you all Happy Safari Days and Wildlife viewing!!
