Great safari experience!
We got a very good safari experience. Our guide picked us up was very nice and good at their cause. The trip from Dar es Salaam to the camp would take about 6 hours, but it took almost 9 hours for us when it was very many stops on the way to buy various things such as food, fruits, etc. We were not informed about this, which pulls down the score a bit when it became stressful when we arrived.
The camp is very close to nature. We had paid for a "luxury tent", which had its own shower and toilet. However, very basic and no AC / fan. Are you prepared for this it works very well, but we got a slight surprise.
The safari was at all really good! We were ourselves in the car with the guide and got to see a lot of animals, such as zebra, lion, giraffe, buffalo, crocodile, wildebeest, hippos etc .. We are very pleased with it.
The food at the camp also get good grades. We had a private chef who cooked three course meal that tasted really good!
We want to add extra weight to our guide who made the experience into something extraordinary! He was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had.

That was more than just a safari trip. We've found really good friends !
It was a great safari trip. All equipe was friendfull. Communications, service, living, meals, all our expectation was exceeded. Most important that safary agency was helpful after safari trip was ended. So, we thank Alex for his help during the all vacation's time.

Dealing with Alex online and meeting Afra as our tourguide is like a breath of fresh air.
Im such a perfectionist when it comes to booking and dealing with people. Difficult i am not but i make sure everything is arrange according to plan. Alex made it so easy for me. I have been checking online for several options just to get the best deals and Usambara didn't fail! All my queries and request were answered and granted seamlessly! I love how personalized yet professional they deal with clients. We had the best vacation and safari experience ever and I highly recommend Usambara! Kudos to you guys!

Unbelievable experience with Usumbara Expeditions
we went to Mikumi National Park with Usambara Expeditions, it was a unbelieve experience, we really enjoy the mini safari, the owner Alex is very helpful and honestly person. Our driver guide named Afre is a great person, and he localized all animals very fast. I recomende this companie because they have very good relation quality - price., and they are very seriously persons.

A customized trip with good price
We arribed in Tanzania and we knew what we wanted to do, but we did not contract any agency from Spain because it was too expensive.
So we found Usambara Expeditions, we explained them the trip we wanted. It was a little bit special, because we were 5 people in the group and some of us wanted to climb the meru and some not. But we explained them everything and they planned what we wanted and the price was good (if we compared the prices people was giving us in through internet).
We wanted a low cost trip and we did not need any luxury, and the trip was like this! no luxuries! But it was what we were expecting! they were with us all the moments!

Good experience, good driver.
Accomodation (we was in Tanapa cottage) was good and clean, also food is good.
The first day we stop eating in a Resturant in Morogoro which is not clean and i eat just rice.
We are very lucky and we see all kind of animal in Mikumi.
The driver was really kind and helpful.

Excellent 14-day safari service in the south of Tanzania!
In Dar Es Salaam we got in touch with Alex Shembago of Usambara Expeditions and asked for a two week wilderness safari in the south of Tansania with budget accomodation. The route was Dar-Selous-Mikumi-Ruaha-Iringa-Udzungwa-Ifakara-Dar including our preferences. Alex wanted to make sure that everything fits our expectations and offered us to get in touch with the driver and the car the day before departure. Driver guide Paul was a charming guy with very good driving skills either on road (calm, no risks, attention) or during game drives (animal spotting, elefant behaviour vs. car, offroad driving, car maintenance). As the journey started chef Said joined us and prepared delicious meals every day. He also adressed our wishes for traditional Tansanian foods. Paul and Said were always on time and very helpful. All accomodations were double rooms in bungalows or hotels with bathroom and were nice.

Great landscape and local life
Had a great time and got interesting knowledge about the surrounding nature and local livelihood. The guides were nice and their service excellent.
