Everything was very well organized, we would highly recommend!
5/5

We enjoyed the trip with Avocet so much. We went during March (low season) but it’s the time for the animals for having the babies and also there were not so many people, was the best decision for us to go this time.
We payed about $800 pp tips included for a camping Safari and it was really worth the price (I actually think it‘s one of the cheapest but it was so great!).
We had a friendly guide who was well informed about the parks and areas we visited and also about every animal we saw. He could answer almost every question and was fun and professional too. Also sitting in the car felt very safe during driving bumpy roads.
Our cook was also a blessing for us. We always had warm and fresh food and enjoyed the breaks as we enjoyed the time in the park!
Also they always asked us when we want to go and were reliable all the time.
On one day it rained and they organized a lodge instead of a tent for us which was also quite surprising but really kind.
So all in all we had a wonderful experience in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater and really would recommend the company as we had no problems during the safari.

Just be informed that the car will shared with some people as well. But for us it was really nice to get to know new people even if you always need to decide as a group.

The review below is the personal opinion of Jonas and not that of SafariBookings.
We feel scammed, I would advise you choose another company if possible
1/5

We got sold 4 days safari with 4 days FULL day game drive

Day 1 „full day game drive“ entering the Tarangire Park: 12:45 p.m, driving out at 5 p.m
At the entrance gate to the national park were the guides rather chatting with each other then buying the entrance tickets and go finally on a safari
We were told we would sleep the first night in a comfortable king-size bed. We ended up sleeping in a single bed which was 1,80 m long (I´m 1,92m). The mattress was so thin that one could feel the wood under the mattress

Day 2 „full day game drive“
Entering Ngorongoro: 12:30 a.m, driving out at 5:15 p.m
Breakfast started at 9 a.m. After breakfast, we had to wait because the cars weren´t packed correctly and the guides had to change. Before entering the Ngorongoro the guides did again a lot of small talk and wasted time. Then our car with all the guests inside had to push another car from the company because it had broken down
From 5:15 p.m until 8 p.m we drove at high speed through the Serengeti to our camping space. Couldn´t see any animals at this high speed and arrived at the camping ground when it was dark.

Day 3 „full day game drive“ 8 a.m – 4:15 p.m (this was the only day that came close to an actual full day game drive)
We started driving in the Serengeti at 8 a.m, we were by far not the first car who left the camp. After 4:15 p.m we were driving again at high speed to the camp in Ngorongoro Crater for the night.

Day 4 „full day game drive“ 7:15 a.m – 1:40 p.m
Unfortunately, we have been always one of the last cars that start driving in the mornings.
Because the same car we had to push on day 2 broke down again, we had to take all the people from this car in our car. This means that all the seats 2 people had to sit. Safety!?
Apart from that, because this costs us a lot of time, the driver had to drive really really fast to make it to later appointments. Some people feared for their lives

In total very unprofessional company and a disappointing experience. Especially because this tip cost us 650 USD per person. Please stay away from this company.

Extraordinary once in a lifetime experience
5/5

Our safari with Waldon was extraordinary. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable, caring, patient and motivated to give us a great time from minute one until the end. Serengeti took our breath - the endlessness of the park, the vast amount and diversity of animals… We didn‘t expect to see every animal so our joy about ending up seeing a leopard in the tree with his prey, a cheetah family, and lions mating in front of us (I‘m not kidding) was even bigger! We would recommend a safari with Avocet to anyone - we cannot think of a better value for money. Keep your expectations low and you will have a once in a lifetime experience.

Very experienced, nice and friendly guide who could answer all our questions, good organisation
5/5

We had a great 5 days safari (Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro). It was an uniquely awesome experience. Our guide Waldon was just amazing. He knew everything and everyone, told us a lot of interesting stuff not only about wildlife and nature but also about life, people, culture and habits in Tanzania. He could answer all of our questions and always had an open ear and a smile for everyone. He even helped us out with buying fresh fruits for the tour on the local markets so that we didn’t have to pay the „Mzungu-price“.

We deliberately booked the Budget tour where we could sleep in a tent in the parcs as we wanted to „feel“ nature as direct as possible. It is an interesting experience to hear and see wild animals while you are around or in your tent. For the camping everything was very well organised. There was always someone who gave us a hand so that we didn’t have to think much about anything else except enjoying. Our cook Richard took good care of your well being so everything was a pleasure.

We can absolutely recommend this agency and wish you a great experience.

The legend, the master, the Don!
5/5

We’ve had an awesome 4 day safari through Tarengeri, Serengeti & Ngorongoro.
Our driver and guide, Don Wally, was the best! Genuine guy who is always smiling, great attitude and fun and patient throughout the day (and night).
It seems like he knows every national park like the back of his hand, and every road by heart. Besides that he knows where to find every animal, sometimes with a little help from his many friends on the radio. He also has lots of info about each and every animal, and the nature that they live in.
Our chef, DJ Chef, was an excellent cook, providing us each day with a different breakfast, lunch and diner with a touch of local magic. A really nice guy, and always willing to help with whatever you need help with.

Accommodations (camping tents) were fine, car was good and the service was very personal and excellent.

All in all a definite recommend to everybody who wants a fun adventure!

Thank Don & DJ Chef!

Best experience ever - thank you Magic Mike and Lucky
5/5

I don’t have the right words to describe what a welcome I felt on this solo trip. My guide Mike, aka Magic Mike, truly became a friend as well as our chef, Lucky. Mike was able to find the most hard to find animals and really made sure everyone had a great experience. I Would 100% recommend this company and these people. Can’t wait to go back one day.
