Two nights camping in the Okavango - an unforgettable experience
Totally recommend this 3 day mokoro camping safari. There was just the two of us and we loved it.
Tony and Kemy from Mosu Safari Tours briefed us on what to expect the day before we went in, and on the trip itself we were superbly looked after by Joe (Mosu staff member) and well fed by George (our cook). We also very much enjoyed the company, and helpful support provided by our mokoro polers, and Emanuel, our knowledgeable guide and tracker on the game walks.
We really liked the fact that the mokoro polers and the nature guide were drawn from local villages on the edge of the delta and that these communities were benefiting as a result - eco-tourism as it should be.
We also found it rewarding to be fully immersed in the environment and interacting with game animals on foot (as opposed to the more contrived and slightly voyeuristic norm of driving around and observing game from the comfort and protection of a vehicle). Whilst this undoubtedly induced higher adrenalin levels at times (coming as we do from a country with no dangerous wild animals) we never felt the least bit unsafe.
Excellent experience
We have great experience with Mosu Safari tours. Everything is perfect, the staff, the driver and the chef. Also Kemy is perfect people who can give you good suggestion. Everything is perfect.

The experience with Mosu Safari was simply great.
The communication, service, value of money and the reliability of Mosu Safari was just great. I can totally recommend this company (and already did). Toni, our guide, did a great job. From pick up to drop off we felt absolutely in good hands.

Superb service and amazing people. You will not find better value for money anywhere!!
A group of 6 of us went on the 3-day overnight Mokoro trip in July 2023. We were greeted at the office in Maun by really friendly staff before Kemy told us all about what we would do on the trip. We then were taken in vehicles to the Mokoros where we met with the local delta people who were to be our guides for the three days.
We went out in the mokoros with a crew of about 10-15 people plus the six of us. This included two chefs, three guides for our mokoros, and then several other mokoros which carried all of our gear. We were given the most amazing food, the tents were spacious and comfortable, and the views were unbelievable.
Over the three days, we hardly had to lift a finger as our guides were so helpful. We went on a number of amazing nature walks, seeing elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffalo, to name a few. Not only that but our guides gave us ample information on every question we had as we went. Other activities included trips in the mokoro amongst hippos and crocodiles, swimming in the delta (completely safe), and eating the best food we’ve ever had.
I cannot recommend Mosu safari tours enough. They were efficient, friendly, safe, and are the best value for money that you will find. As a group of six Irish men, we are all in full agreement that this was the highlight of our two month trip in southern-Africa. Thank you to everyone!

Punctual tour operator with great communication.
We did the Mokoro and Moremi day tours – both were on the money with timing, no waiting around for pickups or drop-offs. Kemy, the booking person, was solid – quick responses and kept us in the loop.
Moremi tour guides were cool and knew their stuff. They laid out the day's plan, which was smooth. Highlight was getting close to a couple of lions and spending time watching a leopard do its hunting thing. If you're thinking safari, Mosu's got it together.

Excellent 4 day mokoro trip into the Delta
We contacted Mosu Safari Tours for a 3n/4d private mokoro tour into the delta (NG32). Kemy was very helpful in organizing everything, also the payment process via credit card went smoothly.
The day before the tour started, Kemy came to our guesthouse and we discussed any open questions.
The next day, we were picked up and driven to the Morutsha mokoro station. There, our head poler and the further polers waited for us.
We went for about 1 h by mokoro to a small island to establish our camp. There were some other camps of other groups nearby.
Mosu provided Temptation as our chef and Jo as camp assistant. Both did great work: Temptation is an excellent cook and provided fantastic and varied meals for us. She is also very nice to chat to. Jo has hospitality in his heart and really reacted to every little comment, even if we did not request anything. He really enjoys making you comfortable. He made up our beds and tidied our tent every day. He also organized that we could take a shower every day. He even offered to have laundry washed on the 3rd day, so that it would be ready for us to pack on the last day.
As requested with Mosu, we did extensive walks (4 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon) everyday. One evening we did a mokoro tour. The head poler and guide Castro was very experienced and we really enjoyed his explanations and our walks. We saw many animals (zebra, wildebeest, tsessebee, red lechwe, buffalo, hippos, elephants, impala, reed buck, giraffe, baboons, many birds). It is great to be on foot, since one hears and smells much more of the surroundings than when on a game drive.
Also on the last day, we had requested to have a long morning walk and only then leave camp to arrive in Maun in the late afternoon. Jo ensured that this would take place (normally the polers apparently leave quite early).
We had a really great tour and would certainly travel with Mosu Safari Tours again.

The Best! Extremely Organized and Fantastic Staff!
My family had such a wonderful experience with Mosu! Kemy was always SO quick to respond to my messages and she ensured we had a very smooth trip. She helped me plan the trip about two months out, and she met us the day before our trip to go over our itinerary. Our guide, chef, and polers were all incredible, and we felt like family after the first day.
The trip itself is very well organized. The camping experience was very comfortable, even for my 70+ parents and two sisters (who are not inclined to go camping). The food was fantastic and well-prepared; my mom said it was the best food she'd had for the month we'd been traveling. The wilderness walks were lovely, and we saw a variety of animals (e.g. giraffes, zebras, elephants, hippos, multiple bird species, etc.) along the way.
We stayed close to the Maun Airport, and Mosu picked us up from our hotel the morning of the trip. The journey in an open-air vehicle took about 1-1.5 hours. They were kind enough to bring our bags from our previous hotel to our new hotel when we returned.
I highly recommend this trip with Mosu. It was certainly a highlight of our visit to East and Southern Africa! Thank you Kemy, Anthony, Simon, Judge, K, Mamasiq, Mindy, Shelly, Baks, and Ra Simon!!! We miss everyone!!

The most amazing and thrilling experience of our lives, the kindest, most gentle, caring staff ever
My 8 years-old son and I took a tour to the Moremi Game Reserve for 3 days. From the very first message, Kemy was as kind and helpful as one can ever dream of. She made it so simple, overcoming all difficulties, explaining everything in the most heart warming way possible. Then, Tebby, Odee and Oniel were simply perfect. My son is shy and does not speak English well. They managed to overcome his defences by making him part of the expedition, telling him tales, teaching him setsuane words... They had booked the best camping site in the reserve and we saw everything we had hoped to see (my son loves animals). He still misses them. When we returned to Maun our guest house had sold our room, the whole city was overbooked and Kemy and Tebby took us with their car from one place to another until they found a room for my son and I. I was speechless. This review is a poor way to thank them for all what they did for us. Also, our flight from Gaborone to Maun was brought forward and we missed the connection. Kemy made it so simple, helped us with the hotel reservation and they changed the safari plan on the fly. If the review scale had numbers larger than 5, they'd deserve them. Thank you, Kemy. Thank you Tebby, Odee, Oniel. You are a treasure larger than Moremi.

Well organised, good value, lovely people - and an excellent safari tour!
We went with Mosu on a 3 day/2 night Mokoro safari into the Okovango Delta, and had an amazing experience. The tour was well organised, communication throughout the lead-up was excellent with very quick replies to any questions, and all the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful and hard-working.
Kemi was always quick off the mark to respond to queries in booking process and about logistics before we went, and it was a nice touch that she visited us at our hotel in night before our trip to answer any queries.
I think because we were quite early in the season (end of April), we ended up with just the two of us on the trip, which made us feel very spoilt with our guide, a chef, a second guide and another assistant taking us on the trip. All of them were lovely, and made us feel very spoilt. It was really interesting to sit round a fire with them in the evening under the starlight, with hippos bellowing nearby, and hear about their villages, experiences and culture.
As for the safari, was really quite something…we saw an abundance of hippos, elephant, giraffe, zebras, wildebeest, various types of antelope, and more bird life an other wildlife than I can list. Walking in the bush in the early morning was amazing, and riding in the Mokoro through the reeds isn’t something we will forget any time soon.

The tour operator was very organized. It was a pleasure working with Oliver and Kemy.
Mosu safaris tour is extremely professional. Oliver and Kemy were organized, helpful in communicating with me before during and after Safari. It was an absolute pleasure working with them. Also, the Cook, the camp assistant, and the Guide whose name is Relax work so hard and friendly and helpful at all times. We saw a huge amount of wildlife. This was mainly due to the sharp eyes of the Guide as he was driving. We did a morning and afternoon game drive most every day, and it was always thrilling and adventurous.
