Wish I could have had longer!
5/5

Ambrose was my driver/guide for an 8-day birdwatching/wildlife holiday which Mamaland Safaris put together for me. Mamaland were very patient and amended my itinerary several times to suit my preferences. Accommodation throughout was good, food was excellent with lots of choices for a vegetarian. In retrospect, I should have stayed a minimum of 2 nights in each place we visited to allow me more time for experiencing the facilities on offer/ambience of the location but I was anxious to cram as much as possible, with as much diversity as possible, into the 8 days. Result was there was a lot of time spent travelling from place to place, on roads that were, sometimes, challenging (to put it midly!). Throughout the trip, Ambrose was an excellent ambassador for a country he truly loves and is keen to share with visitors. His knowledge of birds/wildlife was extensive and his passion for conservation was infectious. I truly could not have had a better guide/companion/friend to introduce me to the wonderful country that is Uganda.

Fantastic Gorrila trekking experience with Mamalamd Safari
5/5

I did 3 days Gorrila trekking with this company and I really enjoyed every moment of it. First they are very ORGANIZED, PROFESIONAL AND RESPONSIVE with the emails and made sure that I choose the right package from the beginning. Moses, who was my tour guide, he was very flexible and patient. He met with me at my hotel and explain the plan for the trip a day before. Along the way to Bwindi he stopped many times so I can do photo shooting. My accommodation at Mist lodge and lake Bunyoni exceed my expections and also the view from the balcony was perfect. Both Edrisa and Moses are excellent and I highly recommend Mamaland Safari!

Very good experience
5/5

We went for a 4 days safari in Queen Elizabeth NP in Uganda, it was a great experience! The safari met our expectations, the game drive was good and the boat cruise amazing. The Chimps tracking in the forest was the real plus of the proposed itinerary with respect to other offers. Communication with Mamaland was very easy and effective, they got what we wanted to do and the special points of our request. The lodges where we stayed were above my expectations. All in all, I think that Mamaland's offer was a great value for money.

Fantastic family experience - memories for a lifetime
5/5

We opted for a 5 day safari which included crater lake exploration, chimpazee trekking in Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth Park, Ishasha Park and then camping by Kachira Lake (which we added). Edrissa was very helpful and accommodating in the organising, visited us in Kampala a couple of times prior to the trip as well and very well organised. Our guide and driver Moses was excellent - great driving skills, good knowledge, and extremely professional and calm throughout the whole trip.

All the accommodation we stayed in (Isanga, Pumba, and Tipo) had incredible views, good food (especially the soups which we enjoyed a lot), and were clean. Shout out to the staff at Pumba and Tipo lodges who were so kind, friendly, and professional. We felt very looked after the whole time and think your staff are really great. The accommodation is quite eco-friendly and should showcase that more.

The actual safari was great - nature is always unpredictable but we were lucky to see lions, hyenas, amazing elephant herd and solo sightings, and snakes. The parks are beautiful. The chimpanzee trek was a real highlight and so special - we were lucky to find chimps after 15 minutes and then spent the rest of the time tracking and following them.

We had a slight issue on our return trip to Kampala with the car breaking down and we lost many hours but Moses and Edrissa dealt with it - suggestion to Mamaland management to make sure the cars are in great shape before leaving.

We travelled as a family of 5 and cannot recommend Mamaland more. It feels like an intimate family type holiday where you are well taken care of the whole time. Thank you Mamaland for the unforgettable experience!

The communication before the safari was fast and perfect. Edrisa send us mails all the time with any info we needed and answer questions any time.
Charles, our guide. was so nice we will remember him forever. We feel as comfortable with him as he was traveling with one of our friends. He was respectful, funny and professional and he made our trip the best experience. Webale Charles!
Unforgettable Ziwa Rino sanctuary, Kabalega Park(Murchinson Falls National Park), Kazinga Park (Queen Elisabeth NP), the gorillas at Bwindi NP, The batwas , the people, the kids...
The lodges was very very good, and the food was super! We was afraid because we don’t eat meat, and everything was perfect!

We enjoyed Uganda to the maximum and we definitely will come back.
We absolutely will recommend Mamaland Safaris to all of our friends, they are just loving all our pictures and histories.
It’s because we think that to choose the correct safari company can make the same travel nice or the travel of your life.

Unreal gorilla experience!!
5/5

What a magical trip which was only made better by the guide Paul. He went over and above to support us and we felt like we were leaving a friend.
Magical experience in Bwindi to see the gorillas, a breath taking stay at Gorilla Mist camp and plenty of excitement as we opted for certain bespoke travel arrangements. Paul and Edrisa supported our unique itinerary and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be back for more of Uganda.

Look no further for a tour operator!

Amazing 8 day safari in Rwanda/Uganda
5/5

I just completed an 8 day trip with Mamaland Safaris (Kigali, Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi NP, QENP, and Kibale NP). I would highly recommend this company for anyone wanting to visit East Africa. The service, accommodations, and overall experience exceeded my expectations.

Edrisa was my first point of contact. He patiently answered all of my questions before and after I booked my trip. Once I arrived in Kigali, my guide was waiting for me. Paul was absolutely amazing. Not only was he a great guide and safe driver, he was wonderful company in the car during our long drives. He provided me with so much information about Uganda, the people, and all the animals/birds we saw along the way. I also met the owner of the company (Tony) who was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing Uganda for 1 week - The Pearl of Africa
5/5

In September 2018 my girlfriend and I travelled the second time to africa (after south africa three years before) with our main goal to visit the mountain gorillas in Uganda. From todays perspectice Mamaland Safari was the perfect provider, because they organized everything. Already the communication before our trip started was great and absolutely helpful to be well prepared for the safaris etc. Particularty to be mentioned is that we lost one our bags on the way there. Without Edrisa from Mamaland we wouldn't have got the bag back today probably. And a special thanks go to Enock (our personel guide for one week) for showing us the diversity of uganda. All together this trip was the most exciting, adventurous and impressive destination so far. The Mamaland-Team is mainly responsible for these unforgettable memories. A big thank you for your hospitality! Fabian and Berit from Germany

17 days tour including Uganda and Rwanda | Tour de 17 días por Uganda y Ruanda
5/5

I made a 17 days tour with Mamaland Safaris throughout Uganda and Rwanda. Basically, when I got in touch with Mamaland Safaris I didn't have any specific plan but their team suggested an itinerary that was excellent.

The team from Mamaland Safaris made sure that the whole experience all of the 17 days was AMAZING!

Mamaland Safari’s provided us a wonderful experience.
5/5

We are delighted that we chose Mamaland Safaris to guide our Uganda safari experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our safari through Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi gorillas, Kibale chimpanzees, and Murchison Falls, as well as our cultural experiences with the Bakiga and Pigmy people.

Mamaland’s Edrisa was wonderful to work with as we fashioned our itinerary. The accommodations he recommended all suited us well and were staffed by friendly and helpful people. We especially enjoyed our stay at Bakiga Lodge in Bwindi National Forest.

Our driver-guide Paul was fabulous! He knew a lot about Ugandan culture and animals. Paul took great care of us, for examples facilitating our gorilla and chimpanzee trekking after a knee injury. He also taught us greetings and gratitudes in multiple local languages, which enriched our connections with the people we met. We enjoyed our conversations with Paul as we journeyed on safari, as well as our refreshing pineapple “stopovers”.

Mamaland Safari’s provided us a wonderful experience. When you’re planning a trip from 10,000 miles away, it’s important to have local expertise. We wanted to go with a Ugandan-owned tour operator and we’re happy we chose Mamaland. We’d go with them again and are already recommending them to our family and friends.
