We are a couple from Spain and the last year we made a safari with Mamaland Safaris. All the travel was amazing! The guide, Tony, was incredible in birding! The places for sleep were confortable, and all the people from the company was very friendly.

The best planned journey I have ever exterienced
5/5

We were an extended family of six people and all of us were experienced travellers. I was responsible for the booking and to my great relief everyone was extremely satisfied. We planned the safari in close contact with our guide Tony and he managed to fit all we wanted to do into the two weeks we booked. Tony was an excellent guide, great fun and very well organised. His knowledge of animal, especially birds, was fantastic and he could always answer our questions. The accomodation was superbly situated, the food was good and the gorillas, elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, hippos, leopards, monkeys, buffaloes, chimps etc were exactly where we were!

Absolutely amazing and the only group to use.

Everything went flawlessly and if there was a change in plans they were flexible. I highly recomend this group. They are extremely friendly and talk to you about Uganda and hands down are the only way to travel around beautiful Uganda.

Amazing People and Amazing Sights
5/5

Mamaland Safaris is run by an amazing group of people. Tony was so friendly and really made the trip fun. Not only was he knowledgable about all the wildlife and everything around Uganda but he was personable as well! My group and I were able to see amazing wildlife and experience an amazing culture. Hopefully I'll be going back to Uganda in a year or so and I am excited to see Tony and the others again! Truly great people!

Unforgettable trip to Uganda
5/5

Uganda is a great destination which not too many people know of. The varity of views and wildlife is incredible.
But what makes it so unique for us and made this trip so enjoyable is the way Ugandan welcome visitors, always with a smile and kind attitude. And this is exactly what made our experience with Mamaland Safaries so great. Because like all Ugandans, the team members of Mamaland became our friends in no time. Is there any better way to travel than with a local friend??

A trip with Mamaland Safari is a perfect way to experience Uganda!
5/5

Mamaland Safari is a great company easy to communicate with and very service minded. Both the management and the guides are professional and experienced! For a good price I did an amazing three day trip from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to see the mountain gorillas. Everything was very well arranged:

-The travelling, safe drive by car.
- Accommodation, very nice and cosy lodges.
- Food, tasty and chiefs being very flexible and taken into account various food preferences (I’m a vegetarian and I don’t eat wheat).
- The meeting with the gorillas in the jungle, it was simply amazing!

I definitely recommend others to go on trips with Mamaland Safari

Great company and very knowledgeable happy guide!
5/5

Me and my family spent a week with Mamalandsafari and with their amazing guide Tony. Everything worked perfectly! He came and picked us up from the airport with a picnic, happy and positive. Then he was there all the time. He was very knowledgeable, responsive over customers' requests. Very positive thing was that Tony knew a lot of people which made our trip even better, especially when we went to the mountain gorillas. Absolutely incredible that he could fix the clutch on the car in the middle of the savannah. He is cool and calm and constantly a smile on his lips. Very knowledgeable, have only positive things to say about this company. Go with them !!!

Me and my wife on an Africa trip January 2015
5/5

The trip can be split into three parts:
1. Uganda and North Tanzania with guides
2. Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro
3. One week on Zanzibar
Part 1 was guided by Anders Åslund and Tony and Godwin from mamalandsafaris in Kampala.
This part of the trip had the main purpose to show countryside Uganda and Tanzania plus give a good view from everyday life in Africa.
The group (9 persons plus 3 guides) traveled with two small buses. Tony and Godwin were also drivers besides the guiding. Travelling in Africa is sometimes on roads witch acquire good knowledge about the country and of cause 4 wheel drive. We where always able to go further after some adjustments. Problem with car tires often occur but that was also very efficient take care of by Tony and Godwin.
When passing some interesting photo spots, it was always easy to get some minutes stop. Although we sometimes were in a hurry, we never missed an animal sitting on roadside or an eagle in a tree.
An extra plus for the guiding was the fact that Tony is a very good bird observer. He is helping me with naming my bird photos (about 160 with some duplicates).
We stayed at selected small hotels and holiday cottages, sometimes one night and sometimes two nights.
