Not exactly roughing it
Worked with Nadine to put together the exact trip we were looking for. I had many questions and she answered them all. I had a lot of input since we had been on African safaris before and wanted something different. She guided me towards okavango delta which was beautiful, breathtaking and very interesting. It is unlike any place you will ever go. Nadine explained each camp in detail and helped me select three wonderful camps with amenities we were looking for. All met or exceeded our expectations.
At first I was concerned about dealing with this company but they came through with every request and provided a trip of a lifetime.

Definitely recommendable
First experience with Safari Specialists and definitely not the last. We can only say: go for it, those guys know what they are talking about. Our contact was Joanne, who was very friendly, efficient and professional.She's very quick in answering emails and was also very helpful when we had to choose the different lodges ( we specifically asked for areas with lots of predators ). We were thrilled about our 7 nights trip to the delta, our highlight being Chitabe Lediba for it's wildlife, well appointed tents and relaxed atmosphere. Flights in between camps were very well organized too.All in all very positive!

Prompt and Informative Communication
My wife and I have travelled to Africa twice for safari adventures. As part of the planning for our third trip we contacted Safari Specialists for information and a quote. Although we ultimately did not book with them, I would like to comment that we communicated with Nadine who provided knowledgable and timely responses to our emails. If you are planning a safari through Botswana, I would definitely consider Safari Specialists as an option as part of your trip planning.

Outstanding service and planning - amazing company and safari!
Wow! We can't recommend Safari Specailists enough. Nadine helped us plan and organize the most memorable trip of lives. Nadine was always super responsive to our many,many questions during the planning phase and we even skyped a bunch of times (we are in California) to discuss options and help us understand how to build a custom made safari that was perfect for us. Her knowledge of botswana and the camps was outstanding. The trip was perfect - from road transfers, flights and accomodation everything worked like clockwork. We fell in love with botswana and so please we got to work with such a wonderful local women run company. We can't wait to back and can't wait to work with Safari Specialists again.

I highly recommend Safari Specialists for all your planning needs in southern Africa! They are knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and reasonably priced. I was able to provide them with a rough idea of the things we wanted to see and do and they developed a very detailed and incredible trip itinerary. Erica is outstanding and has planned numerous safaris for me
Wow! Where to start and how to describe the wonderful and outstanding help Erica has provided me for trips to Botswana and Namibia and Zambia. Erica has planned numerous safaris for me and is ALWAYS available and is incredibly responsive. She's got a great team that will meet and greet you and make your trip seamless. For first time safari goers you can absolutely trust Erica and can feel comfortable she has your best interest in mind. Most importantly, she will plan and design a safari that's right for YOU. Her first priority is to her customers. She's also got extensive experience and has been to almost all the camps in the delta. Vacation of a lifetime!
My husband and I booked a trip with Erica for August 2014. From the start, she was excellent and extremely informative. We had so many questions when researching our itinerary and she was able to provide all the answers and was very honest. She always responded to our emails immediately and would even call us with an international time difference. Our entire trip was about 17 days, visiting Victoria Falls, various camps around the Okavango Delta, and the Central Kalahari. We chose to fly between camp sites and never had a problem with any of our flights. We were always on time and Erica ensured our flight times were set up so that we could get in as many game drives as we wanted. Given the complexity of our itinerary we were surprised we got through our trip without any difficulties. All the camps we stayed at were well organized and much more then we expected with great food, guides, and overall camp service. This entire trip really did exceed our expectations and we have Safari Specialists to thank for that! If we ever choose another safari trip again we will definitely be sticking with Safari Specialists!

Fabulous trip organized by Safari Specialists!
We worked with Nadine at Safari Specialists and she was wonderful in helping us with our safaris in Botswana. We emailed many times before my husband and I finally decided what camps we wanted to stay in. Nadine was very patient, helpful, and informative. She answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. The trip itself was better than we could have imagined. Everything was so well organized! We were met at the airport by staff (everyone was very friendly and helpful) and escorted to all our hotels and camps. All the transfers (both by car and plane) were also prompt. We hope to travel to Botswana again and will definately use Safari Specialists again. We recommend them completely!

Amazing Safari Experience
My experience with Safari Specialists was great - Nadine assisted us in every possible way, catering to every request of our safari. She communicated with us over detailed emails and skype to give us insights about the different camps and regions and offered really helpful advice. At the very least, emails were responded to overnight. We ended up going to 2 camps in Botswana on Nadine's advice. Both were fantastic and offered differing experiences which we loved. In our lodge in Chobe Chilwero, we managed to get the best room with a private pool which i'm sure was in part because of the relationship with Safari Specialists. All in all, an amazing experience. Safari Specialists are fantastic at meeting every requirement of their clients. Would highly highly recommend

Friendly and Efficient
I found that the services provided by the staff (particularly Nadine) to be very efficient and friendly. Usually I had email responses overnight or at worst within 24 hours. All of our requests were considered and great patience was shown as we made numerous changes and requests to our schedules. We were stunned to be met at Maun airport by one of staff and be presented with a small gift! Everything went perfectly to plan with one very minor slip that was out of Safari Specialists control anyway. Hey all part of the adventure.
The safari (Zimbabwe and Botswana) were nothing short of spectacular and amazing. Beyond our expectations of what we would see and of how close we would be to animals. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. Vehicles clean comfortable and well maintained. Food great and plentiful.
I have no hesitation in recommending Safari Specialists and will use them again for our next African adventure, whenever that may be.
