Amazing trip and guide, we recommend !
We had a wonderful day 4 day experience with bamboo encounters doing gorilla trekking, visiting the Elisabeth national park and doing chimpanzee trekking.
We were accompanied by Fred who is a safe driver, good explainer and most importantly a wonderful person to share such a nice trip with.
The communication with Edison before and after the trip was great, very clear organization and quick answers to all kinds of questions?
We recommend Bamboo ecotours very much!
Fantastic organized local tour operator!
It was really easy to discuss the tour with Edison in advance. He always answered our questions quickly and very competently. In Uganda we were then picked up by Amanya. He guided us safely and competently through Uganda and was very accommodating. The trip through Uganda remains unforgettable! We can recommend a tour with Bamboo Ecotours to everyone!

Very Responsive and Supportive in Customising Tour to Fit Schedule
Very reasonably priced compared to other tour operators, but I couldn't tell where there were any sacrifices made in the final product. The lodges/accommodation were nice (paid for budget option) and the tour guide Jackson was also friendly and informative, finding out what interested me the most and seeing if any additional stops/excursions could be made. There were no surprises, as Edison provided a full itinerary and even though I paid my card, did not charge me an extra 3% to 5% like other places in East Africa did to me. Highly recommended and would use them again in a heart beat if returning to the region.

Everything worked perfectly
Edison, the chief, is a steady and smart person. He accorded every our details and changing while stating the vacation assets. The same i can say of our guide Herbert and the lovely driver Mohammad, both ravailable and reliable people, always ready to fulfill every need we had. I strongly recommend to travel with Bamboo and discover Ugandan wonder through them.

Outstanding
Bamboo ecotours were outstanding on all
aspects.
They are a small, specialised, local, community based company. The company gives a percentage of profits to the community (we saw some of the water wells and benefits of this). The owner met us personally at the end for our feedback.
Their communication was extremely responsive and timely throughout . We got a 10% discount , no other groups in the vehicle (so a private tour) and upgrades on some hotels as we confirmed v early (6 months). Excellent result and much appreciated. It was a 10 day tour with only 2 nights at stayovers so a huge amount of driving for the guide. (5-8 hours most days).
The organisation was meticulous. We always felt safe and supported. All treks (gorilla, golden monkey and rhino) the guide ensured we specifically knew our ranger/porter and they knew us. The guide answered all questions including on agriculture politics food, culture as well as of course the amazing animals (and what to wear when and what to take).
Our guide, Herbert, deserves a special mention. He seemed to know everyone everywhere. He could not have been more professionally caring, calm or knowledgeable and his passion for his job and the animals shone through. He worked so hard to ensure we saw all the animals (leopards and a hyena on the last nighttime game drive!). The safaris with him driving and spotting animals in rough terrain were crazy. And brilliant.
Ugandan people were lovely and welcoming everywhere. (Even immigration!!). Rightly proud of their country.
And the animals…. We saw the big 5 plus mountain gorillas, giraffes and more. Truly an epic adventure.
I would have no hesitation recommending bamboo ecotours from our experience. 10/10.

Excellent service, efficient organisation, friendly, responsive, capable
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Bamboo Ecotours. They were very responsive, professional and helpful when we were organising the trip, which was very reassuring for us and took a lot of the stress away. During the tour, everything ran smoothly, as promised and on time. The driver was excellent and very accommodating. We really enjoyed experiencing Uganda with their guidance, and we are very grateful to the staff for facilitating this in such an efficient and friendly manner. We have no hesitation to recommend Bamboo Ecotours and are certainly recounting the trip with much enthusiasm and fond memories.

Excellent local company
Communication at first was great. I mixed up the dates of the trip and realized the same day I was supposed to be picked up (according to me) and Edison arranged last minute everything perfectly and super fast for me to do the tour as planned even though I made a mistake with the dates.
Our driver Amanya was very friendly, professional and we had a lot of fun together.
We did the gorilla trekking which was a great experience and the Batwa community visit which was super interesting as well.
I personally love the fact that this is NOT a foreginer-owned company but locally owned and managed so they know best!! Can't recommend them enough!!

The best!!
This is an absolutely brilliant tour and Edison and his tour company are the best!! Perfect organisation, my trip was so smooth and every detail was thought of. The trek itself was once in a lifetime and I recommend it to everyone who has the opportunity. I also highly recommend going with Bamboo Ecotours because they and their guides are truly excellent and it is superb value for money. Thank you for an incredible experience!

Knowledgeable, accommodating and very responsive - I felt extremely well taken care of
The entire experience was wonderful. Godfrey is a great guide and driver and everything was organized very well. The highlight was definitely the tracking itself and meeting the Gorilla’s. But the organization and flexibility around additional activities was great as well.
The communication was fantastic - Edison was very prompt in replying and helped me with all my questions. He was very proactive and I felt very well taken care of and well prepared before the trip started.
Godfrey, my guide and driver was extremely reliable and I felt very safe with him.
