Big 5 Voyage is your best choice
5/5

I just finished a 3 day budget camping safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro and I recommend 100%!
Amon replied all my e-mails with doubts and helped me a lot. Steve was a great and very experienced driver, he has skills to find the animals and to drive softly in a bumping road (I even was able to sleep during the car drives) and Matthew prepares lots of excellent food (I ate very well all days).
They are friendly and you can trust them. I am a solo female traveller and they put me in a group with more 3 people (around the same age), so it worked very well. They bring all the stuff in the car and lots of comfort for a Budget camping!
The views are stunning and there are quick stops for pictures and washroom.
I do not have a single complain for this trip.
Lots of success to Big 5!!

Everything perfect!
5/5

We were stressed out to book our low budget safari after reading a lot of scams occuring on different company riviews, but our 3 nights 4 days safari booked with James Dilunga of Big 5 voyage was amasing! We find him with Arusha backpackers hostel. He explained really well the tour, the fees and the schedul, he answered well all of our numerous questions and everything was has he said. Not everybody in the truck had book with him, but our driver\guide Reggie and our chef Mr. D were great with everyone. They were professional and took really good care of us. Food was so good and guys were so nice. We saw the big 5 and so many animals, it was really an unforgetting adventure! Assante sana!

A well organized safari in an amazing country!
5/5

We booked our safari immediately upon arrival when we met James in the hostel. He promised us a great 5-day safari in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro for a fair price. Well, it has been amazing and lived up to all the expectations:

- A comfy 4x4 safari jeep with a helpful and funny guide (Lazero)
- Accomodation during the trip was good with great food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) prepared by marquaia
-Plenty of time in wonderful national parks (serengeti, ngorongoro & taranguire)

Long story short, amazing safari and good value for money!

Regards,

Amedee & Branko

A wonderful and very well organized Safari experience
5/5

Got to Arusha without having any plan on what to do. Then luckily James found me (he is very well connected with Arusha's backpackers place).
My budget was low but we worked out a 3 nights / 4 days Safari (Tarangire NP, Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro crater). After negotiating really hard (sorry James!) I got a price that was more than fair for what I have experienced in the parks. All people involved (James, the driver and the chef) communicated very clear and also all what was discussed has been met as per arrangement. Even after the Safari James helped me to book the right bus to Kigali. In conclusion this was a five star service! Thanks to big5voyage.

Really good Safari experience - cheap & car on stand by in case of any car problem
4/5

First to let you know, there is not such thing as cheap safari. If you pay 170 per person per day, you’ve got a really good deal. The safari experience was amazing (we saw two actions - leopard catching antilope and two cheetahs hunting wild best and eating them). So that part was like Heaven. The only negative side was the food, but after we came back we told them honestly about “the food thing” and they offered us a free night at a quite good hotel. They said, that they paid enough momey to the guide and to cook for meals, so it shouldn’t been , like it was. They really gave us a filling that tehy really care about their costumers and told us, they will have conversation with them. We talk with John (he was our guy) - the best guy.
If you are looking for a cheap safari trip, this is the best agency to go with.

Great experience. I'd rate it with 4.5 at least.
5/5

I booked with James on the same morning of departure, and everything we got in the safari was as he had previously explained to me. In the jeep we were 6 (plus driver and cook), and only some of us had booked thru Big Five Voyage, other travelers booked thru other companies and in the end we all got the same trip.
Both the cook and the driver/guide were very nice and professional, they deserved the tips (and probably a better salary!)
The first and only issue was a flat tire just an hour after departure, but it was quickly fixed in minutes.
To me, the only negative aspect would be the picnic lunches... Didn't enjoy them. The rest of the meals were good; I am a vegetarian and the cook always made sure that the veggie/rice/pasta portions were bigger, coz, you know what? In the end the vegetarian plates emptied faster than the meat dishes!
The overall experience was great. It is expensive for most travelers, especially budget/backpackers, but this exclusivity keeps those wonderful spaces wild, quiet and untouched. Enjoy the bargaining, too... Try to get a good price!

4 days and 3 nights campaing safari, one of the best experiences in my life!
5/5

We arranged a 4 days and 3 nights safari with James (dilunga), including Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. He explained in advance all the details about the tour, like locations, meals, game driving schedules, etc. The experience later on was accurated to his previous explanations. in summary, we got what he promised we would get.
James helped also to make part of the payment using our credit cards without paying any fee. He kindly proposed us to pay the entries to the parks for the whole group, and pay the difference in cash. Thank you again!!
We decided to go for a budget safari, sleeping in tents, but the experience was unforgettable. We saw the Big 5 and I personally had the best experience in Ngorongoro Crater, amazing place! (try to be down in the crate as soon as possible when you visit it).
At the end of the trip, James came to the hotel and asked us about our feedback and suggestions about what could be improved.
SAfari is an amazing experience, and Big5 Voyage made it great for me!!
Asanté!

great experience and a lot of fun
5/5

We have been to Serengeti and Nogoro-Crater. Amon has been with us all the time and we had a lot of fun. The driver did a good job and also the chief prepared really tasty food every day. We have seen all animals of the big five and also the big wildebeest hike with 1million wildebeests and zebras was amazing. Really enjoyed travelling while low season.
If you want to do a funny and exciting camping safari - join big five voyage and Amon :)

An unforgettable experience!
4/5

The safari trip with Big Five Voyage was an amazing and unforgettable experience, everything was taken care of and it was a very good Value for money, with one night in a lodge and two nights camping in the natural parks. Nature was splendidly beautiful and we even saw the big migration of 1,5 million wildebeasts on their way to Kenya! The driver was very friendly and stopped whenever we wnated to watch the animals more closely, and he communicated with other drivers to spot other special animals like the leopard. The cook made some delicious meals and took good care of breakfast, lunch and dinner while we were away. Keep in mind that a tip in the end is a common practice with Safari tours, so include this in your budget for the tour. The safari is quite some hours driving to move from one place to the other, but all views are amazing so just enjoy it! I recommend everyone to go on a four-day safari with Big Five Voyage! Especially Ngorogoro Crater and Serengeti were the most spectacular, so make sure this parks you will see! Enjoy
